    I personally think that there was no reason why Shallan couldn't Soulcast Stick except she wasn't good enough. Stick viewed itself as a stick. I think you're right about the identity part.

    I didn't think it was. I looked over them and saw nothing except that you just need to read the broadsheets to find most of the worldhoppers in Elendel.

    MeLaan can probably have enough tact to be professional about it, she just might not like it.

    Maybe the atium is just Investiture, and doesn't have any soul to control it. You can't make a soul out of Investiture, you can only add to it or change it. Or maybe a Shard has to consciously make a decision to make a soul. This is just an assumption. I'm getting into very shaky ground.

    If the poles on Scadrial were to switch, wouldn't it mean moving Preservation's (yes I do mean Preservation) Shardpool? I realize it's totally possible on a Shard level, but what about the planet moving it themselves?

    That sounds a lot like the Shard. We even have the addition of talking weapons.

    Okay. What's Adonalsium?Edit: I know the basics, but what else? We really don't know much. Also, the Idrians worshipped Austre, which is likely a pseudonym for Edgli or Endowment. (Same thing. Yay WoB!)

    Maybe they want to stop him. I don't know what he's doing, but I think the 17th Shard does or at least Frost does.

    Well, I have a little theory that Hoid is a Sliver. (Definition check: someone who held the power of a Shard and lost it, like Rashek and Vin with the Well) This comes from the description of Slivers being like deflated balloons. In a Realmatic sense, I take that to mean a Sliver's Spiritweb has cracked so wide as to allow an amazing amount of Investiture in, allowing them to get more Investiture without being "filled". I use this to explain why Hoid has Lightweaving, Allomancy, Feruchemy, apparently the First Heightening, etc. He is able to get an incredible amount of Investiture because his Spiritweb is cracked enough for it. And what would make Hoid a Sliver? Likely something that happened about the time of the Shattering, and we know Hoid isn't completely innocent in all that.

    Maybe Kelsier saw who Hoid is, the damage Hoid had caused, and what Hoid is likely to do in the future. And it apparently isn't pretty.

    We know how to kill a Shard, we've seen it done in HoA. The reason Odium survived while Preservation and Ruin didn't is because Odium isn't Invested in people like Preservation and Ruin. We currently know little about how to Splinter a Shard.

    Alloy of Law refers in part to Wax, who tries to find an 'alloy' of a House Lord and Roughs lawman, as well as the Alloy that Miles is as a Augur, Miles' own view on which parts of law should be followed and which shouldn't.
