  1. I still have the email with White Sand. Should I address the problem with a reply to that?
  2. Stormgate lay on the ground moaning. How was he supposed to know that the Alley didn't like being guarded? He looked at what tripped him. A dandelion. He looked closer at it and saw tiny metallic thorns in the flower. "A Dandiquisitor," Stormgate said. Is that what it's called? "It is now." said Stormgate. He looked at his contraption. It worked, but the flashlight had a low battery. We've got company. Bonrel said. Stormgate looked at the man, who wore a sword in a large sheath.
  3. Guilty. I might have a problem.
  4. So, a while ago, I went to Sanderson's website and sent him an email asking for White Sand and Aether of Night. Recently I got an email giving me White Sand. Ecstatic as I was, I was slightly disappointed that I didn't get both. For those who have been where I am, do you get Aether of Night through email like White Sand, or am I completely delusional? Also, are there any explanations for why I didn't get them both? And finally, do White Sand and Aether of Night take place on the same world?
  5. So with time travel, only stable loops are allowed back in time. For example, an Epic telling someone to go recruit them that morning.
  6. Timekeeper can go back in time, just not to the previous day. 12:01 that morning is about as far as he can go without being very precise. Is there a problem with putting them all in Astoria? I'm dabbling with the idea.
  7. So, what does this mean for us?
  8. Wait. You gave a Chasmfiend Epic-level regeneration?
  9. They could also measure how much force it would take to move said chandelier, and use that to determine the strength of the Allomancer. Then they take their theoretical list of Metalborn and go to all the suspects and measure their strength and hope they haven't gone savant since then.
  10. Sanderson turns out about two books a year, one of which is usually Cosmere. The plan is for a thirty-book megaseries, and he has currently written (Two SA, three Mistborn--Wax & Wayne doesn't count, Warbreaker, Elantris) seven? Maybe my math is off, though. I'm doing it by memory. Anyway, about 23 more years of writing to finish the Cosmere.
  11. You stretch and you are immune to interrogation.
  12. From what I understand, Shadowblaze and Forgotten are very similar. Shadowblaze apparently cannot make chalklings by themselves, however, requiring a symbiotic relationship to do it.
  13. Registering Metalborn sounds like what people want(ed) to do with the mutants in X-Men.
  14. How did you collect that? How big is said spike?
  15. Red Light can only affect the stuff his hands touch, which completely nullifies all forces for one second. He could hit the moon and have it destroy the Earth, but he's very forward about wanting to destroy the Earth. Strangely, very few Epics want to help him. BTW, he's called Red Light because the things he hit glow red. Freezerburn's flames do indeed spread like normal fire. And Freezerburn is a girl. Also, she has extreme resistance to the cold. I'm planning to make an Epic Army of sorts. Okay, new Epics. Timekeeper: When he touches a clock, it is repaired, the battery is charged, and it is synchronized to the correct time. If he changes the time on a clock, it is still correct, he just travels through time. Unless the clock has an option for a calendar, he can't travel outside of the day he is in. Unless it has a year option, he can't travel outside the year he is in. The Unstoppable Force: Superspeed and minor superstrength. Can't touch this. The Immovable Object: When he uses his powers, he cannot be moved relative to what he is on at the time. If he is in a plane, he isn't getting out of that seat. He also has invulnerability only when he is Immovable. He is friends with the Unstoppable Force. Bugger: This guy is evil. His two abilities are to annoy anyone he wants and to be unable to be killed by someone who is upset at him. Phaseshift: can heat up or cool down an object to the point of its phase change as long as she is touching it. Can turn solids to liquids, liquids to gases or solids, and gases to liquids. If an object would burn before being liquefied or evaporated, or cannot exist as that state of matter, the power doesn't work. Has a range for control about 5 cm for gases, a yard for liquids, and she can do basically what she wants with solids except turn the Earth's surface into lava. Has heat and cold resistance to let her touch stuff like magma or liquid nitrogen and be unharmed. Diagnosis: If he gives someone a diagnosis, they have the condition he described for the next two hours. Can only do physical problems, however. Slapshot: can turn his hand into a gun barrel by holding a bullet and fire it by slapping the back of the hand barrel Wear'n'Tear: can make any object turn into what it would be after a long period of wear and tear. Athlete: has enhanced speed, strength, agility, accuracy, etc. only when doing something similar to what would be done in a sport. Can also make sporting equipment for any game from objects of similar size and shape. Vector: when he focuses on an object, he instinctively knows all the vectors influencing it at any time, and can change the direction of one of those vectors for five minutes. The maximum mass he can influence is a tank. He hates Despicable Me. Locator: He can know where something/someone is as long as he has previously set a 'tag' on them. Accuracy increases with proximity. For example, he can only know the continent if it's on a different continent, city if it's in the same state, etc.
  16. I don't know.
  17. I never hit the quota until the change.
  18. Welcome to the Shard. FYI, the cookies offered by some members of the forum are disguised Hemalurgic spikes.
  19. Freezerburn: Can make fire that freezes instead of heats up. Causes frostbite. Can only be put out with heat and by Freezerburn. Red Light: By hitting any object, he sets its velocity relative to the Earth to zero. He is insane and wants to punch the moon, destroying the world. I have to go now, more later.
  20. All at once?
  21. That is very good to know. I'd give an upvote if I hadn't reached the quota.
  22. So, I have a collection of minor Epics that I want to use, but I should probably clear their powers with everyone here. Any thoughts on how to do this? (I have 10 Epics.)
  23. The Daleks. More specifically, Davros. He tried to destroy reality. Every reality. Daleks want to destroy every living thing that is non-Dalek. The Daleks know one emotion: hate, although it could be argued that they also feel fear. Oh my. The Daleks are Epics.
  24. That typo was interestingly ironic.
