Is the sibling the spren of urithiru ?
CrazyRioter replied to twenty second of the sun's topic in Stormlight Archive
Yeah that's a huge speculation and should probably be removed. Or moved to the "theories" section. -
Godmetal Melting Points (and other phase-change questions)
CrazyRioter replied to Quantus's question in Cosmere Q&A
Plate (and Blades) are a bit valuable to be messed with in potentially destructive ways so...probably not. -

Confirmed Worldhopppers (and potential ones)
CrazyRioter replied to Truthless of Shinovar's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I mean, gender doesn't mean the same thing with kandra, necessarily. -
Confirmed Worldhopppers (and potential ones)
CrazyRioter replied to Truthless of Shinovar's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Also there has been "several" worldhoppers originally from Roshar that have secretly appeared in other books. -
Seeing the Plate from Shadesmar would absolutely give us some hints, which is why it hasn't happened yet.

Is the sibling the spren of urithiru ?
CrazyRioter replied to twenty second of the sun's topic in Stormlight Archive
Yeah, Dalinar's trick is not something that previous Bondsmiths were able to do. -

I do not think they are 'sleeping' in the same sense that humans do, no. -
poll What Radiant Order has More Members
CrazyRioter replied to Lord Mistborn Bondbreaker's topic in Stormlight Archive
The Shard tends towards the more intellectual/theorizing side of fandom, so I'm not surprised there are a lot of people here who identify with the Elsecallers. If you ran a poll like this on say Tumblr, you'd probably get different results. Edit: This should in no way be taken as a dig at Tumblr Sanderfandom, or the artistic side of fandom in general. I respect and love fanfic writers and fanartists. -
The obvious cliche that i hope wont happen
CrazyRioter replied to TousenShadowForged's topic in Stormlight Archive
the Heralds do not take existing bodies. They have new ones generated for them by some mechanism. There's a WoB on this, but I currently don't have enough brainpower to go looking for it. -
If accuracy is a concern you could use a crossbow, as Wikipedia says they are easier to shoot accurately.

I guess so. Would make more sense for the spren to be the arrow for deadliness purposes but I guess the advantage of a sprenbow is that you don't have to actually lug a bow around just the string and some arrows.

I doubt it's the result of the Radiant's spren spreading out, or else Syl would have the same issues with Plate as she has with the Blades, and the Plate would also scream.

Could Dalinar unlock the Cognitive Oathgates?
CrazyRioter replied to robardin's topic in Stormlight Archive
Oh, I'd forgotten the exact words they used, that does look like confirmation that it was Honor. -
Could Dalinar unlock the Cognitive Oathgates?
CrazyRioter replied to robardin's topic in Stormlight Archive
I hadn't considered that the Parent could be Cultivation before seeing this post either. It's a good point. I'd say that if the Parent is Honor, he has enough of Honor's authority at this point to unlock them. -
So...how do you think Radiants do the do?
CrazyRioter replied to The Night Watcher's topic in Stormlight Archive
It might work better with a powered man and a non-powered women, since men tend to uh, not last as long as women in the first place. But either way, sex isn't everything in a relationship. -
I continue to believe that Gavinor and Oroden will be best bros by the back half.

What if I'm a left handed woman on Roshar
CrazyRioter replied to Shallan&Pattern's question in Cosmere Q&A
That's literally what that Word of Brandon says so.... -

CrazyRioter replied to Shallan&Pattern's question in Cosmere Q&A
yeah. Left handed Vorin women (especially lighteyed women) are gonna have a hard time. It's not so bad for darkeyes because they just wear a glove and have less pressure against using that hand at all, but it'd be bad for lighteyed women. -
I expect Navani to take primary responsibility for looking after Gavinor, she's the mothering type and likely less busy than Jasnah will be, and he's her grandkid. Jasnah might officially adopt him, but I doubt she'll have much time for him for practical reasons. Skar, Drehy, and the rest of Bridge 4 will end up as honorary family.

Right. Adolin's had so many expectations placed on him since he was young, that he's learned to act the part they expect from him. Especially Dalinar. Which is why he never drops the act with Dalinar, until it finally cracks at the end of Oathbringer. That's also why he likes drinking with Skar and Drehy, I think, because he doesn't have to keep up the act with them either. They don't care about the expectations placed on the heir to a highprincedom.

Kaladin doesn't share any interests with Shallan, other than being sarcastic. They have even less in common than Shallan and Adolin. And Adolin isn't vain about anything other than clothing. With regard to everything except clothes and dueling (which he's justifiably proud of) he's inclined to downplay himself.
-
With regard to Adolin and Shallan having limited interests in common, that's a consequence of their society and it's strict disparate gender roles, rather than an inherent issue with their relationship. And Adolin has been shown to be very enthusiastic about Shallan's drawings. And they do spend time together chatting and things, and they get along very well during those times.

So...how do you think Radiants do the do?
CrazyRioter replied to The Night Watcher's topic in Stormlight Archive
I think most people would rather not have invisible voyeurs.watching them in the sack. Especially if they were distracting their partner. -
Yeah, I think Adolin views his father's past through rose-coloured glasses, as many children do with their parents. He will have a bit of a rude awakening when the full details come to light, but I think it will ultimately be good for him to have a more realistic view of his father. His current tendency to idolize him is not exactly healthy.
