Will say that the train on Striker worries me. It's not that it picked up super fast--in fact, that's probably a good sign because the elims don't know their teammates identities, so they have to be cautious about following trains or risk accidentally voting out someone of the same alignment as them. Villagers, obviously, always have that issue, but I think so far we're assuming there are more of us still, so we can afford to lose a few.

what

there is no train on Striker

No, we have another half-hour : P

Oh. I calculated using 23:00 IST instead of 23:30 :P.

Last minute switch, anybody?

To clarify, I voted on Stink because that will at least clear up everyone's theories somewhat and won't leave us questioning them in future rounds. But this is also C1 and there's just... Not much to go on for anybody, especially since the elims know only slightly more than we do.

It's an infokill, and one that's pretty selective. Which I don't think is ideal, as Stink hasn't actually done anything.

: P my theory--and I think to an extent Illwei's--are more just "if STINK were to flip elim Mistborn", and not "because I think this might be true, I'm gonna vote STINK!" Edit: But like... Illwei's voting STINK, so...

I find it incredibly interesting that people were suspicious of Archer for one thing, then decided that Archer (and Quinn) could be Elim Teammates to E-Mistborn-STINK, and then proceeded to vote for STINK instead of Archer... But yeah, for all I can see people are voting for STINK because of Quinn's/Archer's/Illwei's(?) actions... and even if that did make STINK suspicious we should go for people based on their own actions and not others. This probably isn't STINK's fault.

... if we're going to info-kill, Archer is the way to go, not STINK. Although I still don't understand the initial suspicion... it seemed to come from a lot of different little places. Grrr.

Hey Ash, then vote Archer!

I don't get this. you obviously have a problem here, and you don't think STINK should die. Well people die D1, and if you're not going to vote your opinions, then your opinions effectively mean nothing

I really don't mean to sound rude here. I don't, and I apologize if this comes off that way, which it probably will, because it kinda sounds that way to me :P.

Liranil gives a lot less info... I'm a little off-put by their initial "I'm here" post but they did say they would be busy and then... were busy.

Hmm.

The problem is, all I know is that people had bad gut reads on Archer and I have no idea what they actually were :P and I only got ~3 sentences of clarification. That and my opinions are very shaky... life and death in D1 is complicated. But yeah, that's me a lot of the time.

... bah.

Archer, for curiosity.

Edit: TJ if this happens I am very sorry :P

Cycle Two - Survivors of the Shaw

Vin hid in the shadows and observed the Watcher enter the palace. She assumed he would have had his coppercloud switched on, but she could always pierce them for reasons unknown. She’d known that she would meet the Watcher again, and perhaps they would duel again. But the mutual respect between them would have to come to an end soon, if it meant the end of the siege. Perhaps they’d have a final battle right here in the palace, perhaps not. But, the thrill of the flight from their last battle still remained fresh in her mind, and for a fleeting moment, she had the urge to go after him.

Patience. There’ll be a time for that.

Once she was sure that no one else was coming, she signaled to her team at the side, who sneaked into the Shaw. She Pushed herself onto the spire the Watcher was on a few minutes ago and watched the magnificent view of the city she grew up in. She wouldn’t let it fall. She’d keep the city safe. For Elend, but more personally, for her.

***

Udfolt frequently came up to Kredik Shaw for some peace and to clear his mind. He always felt like he could use his coppermind better after a nice quiet time to himself. He walked to his usual spot and sat down with a book, this one he was writing it himself. He was noting down the rise of the Church of the Survivor. He felt like he was witnessing a birth of a new religion and he found it profound that a simple man, Mistborn be as it may, could inspire a large number of people to start a religion in his name. The Survivor was well on his way to becoming a myth.

His thoughts were interrupted by voices, which surprised him. Usually, no one really came here, as it was considered a bad practice to visit the place where the Lord Ruler met his demise. He looked around to see an angry bunch of strong-looking people walking towards him menacingly. Confused, he got up to ask what the issue was.

“Look! Look, I told you! It’s the terrisman who is always with that Venture kid! He’s here on his behalf to guard or take the atium stash before us” yelled one of the intruders to another.

“Ah, it’s a common thing for people to mistake me for Sazed. He’s back in the Venture Keep advising Elend, of course. So you’ll have to go there. Now, if there’s some I could do… What is this, something about atium I hear?”

“You’re right, this man is pretending”, replied one of the others. “Lord Cett asked us to stop at nothing, and he seems to be here for a reason. Why else would he be here?”

“Now, let’s all talk this through. I was just-” he wasn’t even given the chance to finish his words as he was cut off by the approaching mob of the Cett soldiers.

STINK was eliminated. He was a Terris Venture Loyalist.
Archer was attacked, but survived!
StrikerEZ was attacked, but survived!

So... Archer voted on Striker. Striker was attacked. Archer was also attacked.

:thonk:

There's a connection here but I don't know what

Posted (edited)

Well that was... not what I expected to happen. All the ways that players can survive an attack: be targeted by a Lurcher; be a Thug; be a Mistborn. I honestly can't see why Archer or Striker would have been targeted by a Lurcher, unless an elim Lurcher decided to protect their elim Mistborn, in which case that's another of the categories anyway. Archer was an exe candidate for much of the cycle, so I'm ruling out Lurcher for him entirely--nobody tries to NK someone who might die anyway, so nobody protects someone who might die anyway : P (edit: yes ik someone did try to NK someone who might die anyway, but my point is nobody expects that)

Therefore: Archer is either a Thug or a Mistborn. Striker might have been targeted by a Lurcher but I can't see... why... that would have happened... so I'm just gonna say he's probably Thug or Mistborn as well.

Question now is: what do we do with that? I'd been theorizing either STINK/Archer e-Mistborn/e or Archer/Illwei e-Mistborn/e. The former, obviously, we now know isn't the case. But the latter... given that:
A. Archer's response to my STINK vote did sound forced (though I misinterpreted that originally as being an attempt to protect a teammate)
B. Illwei's response to my theory about her and Archer was kinda... I mean she's explained it and I can see how she could have that response but it also feels off to me still
C. the person Archer voted on was also NKd? not sure whether this one actually means anything tho
D. Archer is now proven to have had an extra life...

Archer

Let's see how this goes : P

(would note that Striker is also on my radar, but for the moment I'm honestly not super worried about him--or at least, I don't think he's Mistborn. Combination of gut and voting patterns)

1/3 chance Archer is Vin, if you're saying they're mistborn. Seems like a risky vote all things considered

I specifically think he's an elim Mistborn, due to interactions last cycle.

That's fair

Woah what was the chance of that happening xD

Told you Stink was a bad idea smh we lost our Terris. There might be another but like I doubt it.

I'm with Quinn- in leu of my slight village read of Striker, killing @Archer here seems like the best bet, though I'm somewhat interested on what he has to say about his survival and I don't want a repeat of my voting-on-the-person-I-voted-for-last-cycle-immediately-after-the-new-cycle-is-posted thing. And he might be Vin, but of course he'd say that anyway :P.

Edit: Thrice ninja'd.
