It was my first game and I was the last eliminator for a long time. I had no idea what I was doing. I highly recommend filling up your GM PM with questions, but they can't help you with strategy. I'm sorry I didn't reach out to you last night cycle, but I'll shoot you a PM if I live to the next one. I also recommend reaching out to Illwei and Ashbringer and maybe even Aman and Araris. The first two because they have been pretty good recently and the latter because they are really good historically. Don't tell us your role or anything that you wouldn't want the elims to know, but I am confident that bouncing ideas off of us will help you find a playstyle you can leverage and that you will enjoy. Okay, thanks! 17 minutes ago, Illwei said: I was under the impression that "tight" was just a general term used by the *couch* children *couch* nowadays instead of saying "cool" Yes, 'tight' can mean cool now. Again. I do think that throwing her vote around yesterday and then today saying that she doesn't feel like she should vote is strange, but I don't think that individually they are. yesterday was kind of wierd, yeah, but when I was starting out I hated voting because I didn't know who to vote on. Turtle also just came off of her first game- where she was an Elim, so she's probably definitely not as sure of herself without a team she can trust helping her. Yes, I agree that when starting to play, voting is a scary thing. It seems so aggressive, and I also worried about making a mistake. But that's part of why I find Turtle's play suspicious. I would expect someone newish to be holding back more and being actually hesitant to vote. They aren't holding back at all and seem to have no problem with voting. Only expressing concern that they might not be picking the right person, which is hedgy and often done by elims to be less responsible for a village flip. 9 hours ago, eltruT said: I'll have you know I am just as cunning now as I was when I was Elim. I don't really have much to do right now, and I don't know if I can defend against Whysper. Interesting way to reply. Is this an attempt to seem too openly cunning to actually be an elim now? 5 hours ago, Illwei said: Not sure how I should take that answer, when I'm asking it in regards to 'should I trust you' :P. If Elk and Turtle are teamed again, then I could theoretically see Turtle as an Elim. Honestly it all depends on Elk's flip. I wouldn't necessarily tie these 2 together. Even though they maybe worked well together before, I think Turtle could be capable enough on a new elim team without Elk. 4 hours ago, Wind said: Who’s the most suspicious? This is an odd question to ask about low/no posters. Is this an attempt to randomly move suspicion elsewhere? 3 hours ago, Elkanah said: I really don't know why they would pick gears. I feel kind of bad because he probably still thinks I'm bad. I gave him a vague answer in a PM last night that I realize now might have come off threatening... and now he is dead. I'd guess it may have been a newer player who killed him given he's died early a lot recently and they wouldn't have known that. There are 3 Elims, so even if 1 or even 2 are new, the chances of all 3 being new seems quite low. So this is odd to point this out and basically shade all newer players. 3 hours ago, Elkanah said: I don't know that we ought to give Turtle a pass. She is clever and knows what she is doing. I probably will end up voting with you if I don't see something else more convincing. Thank you for providing this insight about Turtle. 3 hours ago, Elkanah said: True. The real question is: does it clear turtle if I flip village? Because I am going to flip village. I'm sure I'm going to get lynched this game, but I want you to be able to draw clear lines to who fell on what side of my lynch so we can use that to catch the eliminators. No, I don't think it does. I don't see reason to believe that you and Turtle are necessarily tied together alignment-wise. 2 hours ago, Illwei said: WHYSPER I TAKE BACK WHAT I SAID ABOUT ME BEING MORE LIKELY TO JOKE ABOUT BEING AN ELIM WHEN IM AN ELIM DONT LOOK TOO MUCH INTO THIS PLEASE!!! I think about half the game is newer players, no? you're technically included in this, as you wouldn't know about gears. There possibly could be more inactive experienced Elims. who knows. Maybe the Elim team is Experience, Orlok, Condensation, and Windrunner. So really around half are new? That's interesting indeed. And yeah, I don't know Gears. But actually getting back to that. The argument for newer players to target Gears is weak by itself. He wasn't really involved much in the thread. He wasn't much of a threat to newer players. They would have likely picked someone else more involved in the thread like you or me. Is Gears known to be a strong town player? BTW, you mentioned something about me quoting white text. I've noticed people use all sorts of colors here. I'm reading this as Turtle being suspicious of Mist and some other person in a PM, who was probably Condensation. This game, she's voting on players with a couple votes already on them borrowing others' reasoning to do so(at least that was the case D1). There's no data to suggest whether this is a natural village playstyle or just trying something different though. The only important color is the light blue, which is reserved for out of game comments relating to real life events.
