Theory: Hoid is ta'veren.

PROOF: Hoid has a special abundance of Fortune, which is just the Cosmere term for the Pattern.

THEORY: The back covers of all Cosmere books are written by mysterious beings from the world covered in a given series.

Proof:  We've been told her name is Kriss, and she's a decent dancer.

THEORY:  Gavilar was replaced by a Kandra in the months leading up to his assassination.

PROOF: He was acting erratically before his death, and he was known to be rather strong willed. Clearly the Kandra couldn’t torture enough secrets out of him, which caused the copy to act erratically and follow ‘the codes”, essentially the Rosharan version of the Contract. Some things can’t be helped, I guess.

THEORY: All Shades really want is hugs.

Posted

PROOF: They always go to people who are bleeding, they are trying to soothe their pain!

THEORY: Hoid learn't how to break the fourth wall from deadpool after beating him in gambling with feruchemical fortune.

Posted

Proof: There's little 4th wall breaking character and deadpool is the popular one. It only makes sense that Hoid learns from him. The same logical applies as since google is the popular search engine so does normally people use.

Theory: Syl is actually a splinter of Ruin that was split before Sazed became Ruin. Syl is basically starting the process of decay on Roshar by starting with the downfall of the governing gods(since Syl partnered with Kaladin which the Knights Radiant are reformed which will ultimately lead to Odium's demise and then Syl can finally show her true color).

It is why Odium is so wary of Harmony even tho the vessel himself doesn't know rust about it.

Posted

Proof:  Syl is the favored Daughter of the Stormfather, and he's a fairly destructive force, objectively speaking.

Theory: Hoid is an artificial being, and is the result of an early (pre-Shattering) experiment in Awakening

Proof: Hoid has white hair, which had its color drained to fuel the Awakening process.

Theory: The Shardworlds (and the Shards) are all just corrupted copies of each other.

Proof: Sanderson went to the Nightwatcher and asked to be able to write all the stories he had ever thought of. The curse is that all the stories are secretly the same story.

Theory: Unite them actually means that Dalinar needs to combine all of the pancakes from Yeddaw into one magical super pancake so that Lift can eat it and gain so much awesomeness that she becomes a shard.

Posted (edited)

Proof: There are supposedly ten pancakes, but really there are only nine. Nine is of Odium. Honor's way of fighting back is to get the next Bondsmith to eradicate all nines from Roshar...and he just likes Lift. Who doesn't?

Theory: We're all just Brandon's aspects.

Proof: Neither of them spoke all that much until the end of their books, and they both turned out to be better people than the main characters thought they were. They both also had ridiculous titles (Lord Ruler and God King).

Theory: All of the shard worlds are really just on one huge planet with reaaally big oceans.

Posted

Proof: How else could walking through the cognitive realm involve walking on an ocean????
Theory: The Heralds are The Lord Ruler's old children.

Posted

Proof: The Lord Ruler was upset that he wasn’t the one who was heralded as the hero of ages, so he named his children the Heralds so they could herald him.

Theory: The real reason that Wyndle doesn’t want to be summoned as a Shardblade is that his cousin was once bonded to an Edgedancer, but when he was summoned as a sword, his radiant dropped him and he cut/fell his way to the center of the planet and was forever traumatized by the experience.

Posted (edited)

Proof: People aren't the only one who can experience anxiety and fear. Spren too are capable of that. It wouldn't be unreasonable.

Theory: Lift is actually right that Wyndle is a Voidbringer.

Proof: Wyndle likes chairs. Chairs are made of wood. Wood comes from trees. In Roshar, trees grow out of the stone. Thunderclasts are made of stone. And what controls the thunderclasts? Voidbringers.

Theory: Hoid is Wayne.

Theory: Hoid is Wayne.

Every character is actually a multi-level shapeshifted version of another character, like words in the dictionary all being defined using each other. Since Shallan is Hrathen and Hrathen is Bluefingers and Bluefingers is Axies the Collector and Axies is Rayse and Rayse is Leras and Leras is Kelsier and Kelsier is Wayne, and since Rock is Lightsong who is Khriss who is Sazed who is Sarene who is Nightblood who is Adonalsium who is Kelsier who is Hoid, then Wayne = Hoid.

Theory: If Shallan and Adolin "divide by zero," Pattern will be absorbed into Shallan's womb.

Posted

Proof: Shallan and Pattern are already merging into one spiritweb, so when Adolin impregnates her, the child will have pieces of all three spiritwebs.

Theory: Hrathen is not dead because he is the protagonist of the Elantris sequel.

Posted

Proof: He might as well be. We'll never see the Elantris sequel anyway.

Theory: Silence Montane is secretly one of the Deepest Ones and is gaurdian to Sebruki, aka the Evil.

She might as well be. We'll never see the Threnody novel anyway ;)

THEORY: Waxillium is a Dawnshard (hint: his nickname "Dawnshot").

Posted

Proof: Wax is an agent of a Shard (Harmony) so his nickname plus his job description= DawnShard

Theory: Hoid is Adonalisium's cognitive shadow

Posted

Proof: It sounds really suspicious when the most obsessed of collecting all kinds of investiture is the same person from the shattering. And what was Adonalsium made of again ?(all kinds of investiture)

Theory: Reen(Vin's step brother) is actually Ruin

Theory: Shallan is a cannibal.

Proof: What else is she going to do with all the bodies that the jobs with the Ghostbloods will produce?

Theory: Ruin and Preservation were actually the opposite of what we think their Intents were.
