@Delightful if I were you I probably wouldn't give a damnation if I'm allowed to call the plumber. The situation is sirious. You wouldn't wait with calling a specialist if your gas oven was leaking gas, would you?

Plungers can usually be bought in stores like Castorama, where tools and materials for building are. But maybe ask Google or your neighbors, that would be easiest I think. Hardware stores have them too.

yeah that means I have to find a plumber and speak to them in hebrew and then be home when they come and *my plate is already so full I can't dealt with his right now I have to be in six other places at the same time <brain waaaiiilllll>*

Well, I can't help you with that unfortunately. Maybe you'll be lucky and you can solve the issue with plunger. I fixed my toilet dozens of times already with it.

@AliasSheep maybe ask someone for help with the game if it's too much for you. It's much better to ask for help than fail and let others down. It's no shame to have too much on your head to run an internet game.

Stay safe!

I survived a (very lame) hurricane once. Sadly, it wasn't very impressive. Still made Disney close down<_<

Thanks. It's been mighty stressful down here but it's finally on the way out.

ofcourse Tennessee and Kentucky will have to deal with the remnant in the next few days.

So my day just took a severe turn for the worse. I had my first big accident. Everybody was uninjured, but I'm still in shock, and the car is badly damaged on the front. Not to mention my work day was insane, by back feels funny, and I no longer have my own room.

And worst of all, insurance is currently saying we, for some reason or another, don't have collision insurance for the car. Which makes no sense. And means I can kiss my savings good bye. Gosh I feel awful and really really stupid.

@Flash *Hugs* The compounding of so many events can certainly leave you in a state of shock. Despite all of that though you are uninjured which is the mos important thing. Yeah the insurance is doing their thing playing games. but aside from fighting them on it which while a valid option will take time there is little to be done. You will get through this and be the stronger for it. Keep your head up and remember that the day took its best shot and you came out on top. It will take time, but you will eventually come to realize that your walking away from this will harden you to what the world has to throw your way. This will enable you to take on anything the world can throw your way.

Insurance was right. We really didn't have insurance for collision, which was an oversight on my mom's part. I'm not even letting myself consider the what ifs. The kids in that other car... stormfather im glad they're ok.

No, my main issue is my family finances. We are strained for resources at the moment. We aren't poor, but between my mom's cancer stuff that we just finished with, other car issues, renovations, and other stuff, our family finances aren't doing well. My dad and my mom both work, but it's not huge paying jobs. They've been concerned about finances for a while and then I screw up. And I feel awful. I have some money I've earned working, but without the insurance it won't cover it. The feeling that my family is going to suffer financially because of a rushed turn really kills me.

Go get an X-Ray or something just in case. Spine damage can go unnoticed for some time from what I've heard.

My car just broke down. AC stopped working last week, and then on my way home just now the power steering cut out, my battery light came on, and it started overheating. This is officially a bad day now.

I am not having a good time right now. I have this constant, 'hollow' feeling in my head, and I fell asleep in class for the first time I can remember. I think I'm taking to many hours at work.

You my friend need to go out and do something special for yourself. Things seem to be getting dull and dreary for you *hugs

Idk where to say this, but anybody who's in the path of the three hurricanes in the atlantic, please stay safe.

3 hurricanes. It's the end of the world, I swear.

Or just the warming of the climate is making the weather more and more extreme, just as the scientists predicted.

Fortunately Katia isn't a threat to us here in Florida.  Irma sure is, though, and no one knows about Jose yet.  We're braced for impact and ready to weather the storm, just hoping our house doesn't get any damage since repairs could take a while.

So, something really bad happened in the band recently.

Last Saturday, there was a clarinet section breakfast at IHOP, and I was sitting next to one of the leaders when she started crying. I asked her what was wrong, and she said a friend of her's mom got in a car wreck and was in a coma.

I found out today that the friend was one of the tuba section leaders and that his mom passed away. During the meeting we had after the football game, our band director, with his permission, gave a speech about it. He told a story about a kid in the band from several years ago who's sister, a cheerleader, died in a car wreck after a football game. Our director said that the kid showed up to rehearsal the next day, and when he was asked if he felt he need to leave, he said, "No, where else would I be." The fact that the band meant so much to that kid, that the band take so care of each so well, it really means a lot. After the meeting, the amount of love and support that the tuba got was astounding. I can't even imagine what he must be going through, but I know that he'll always have the entire band to help him and cheer him on.

*hugs* I'm so sorry to hear about the deaths in your band family, but I'm glad that y'all are supporting each other through it like a band family should.
