Philomath she/her Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 Just saw a sign while stopped at an intersection that said “No Ramen, No Life” And I thought that must be how Hoid feels. 13

Feruchemist he/him Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 When you hunger for metals instead of coffee... When you see an incredibly bright light and think "what a waste of Stormlight"... When you visit the pet store, see birds, and pity the imprisoned Aviar... 4
Ghanderflaffle she/her Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 (edited) When you are terrified of skipping to the last page of the book. He has trained us well... When Mistborn is the first series you immediately want to re-read and nitpick to find all the cleverly hidden easter eggs you know are there but didn't catch the first time through. When someone asks you what to read and you suggest Steelheart, Alcatraz, and Mistborn while wrapping it up by saying he's a Nebraskan author. (I'm very proud to be a fellow Nebraskan) I grew up in Utah and currently live in Utah, but the only other place I have lived is Nebraska. It was a good place. I think it is cool that those are both places Brandon has lived too.
Reckless Reader Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 When this excites you way more than it should. Yes, I'm taking materials science. No, I didn't do it only because of Mistborn. Yes, I do enjoy it much more thanks to Mistborn. 7
Feruchemist he/him Posted October 19, 2018 Posted October 19, 2018 When you chuckle at the mention of "Lift" in any physics-related book you read... When you find it difficult to read other series because their magic systems don't "make sense"...

It has embroidery on it, and I'm going all-out with making metal vials, a coin pouch, everything. I am going to be wearing shoes though... I totally did this when I was sixteen! Honestly the easiest and most fun costume I ever wore. I kept jumping down the stairs squealing "I'm a MISTBORN! WHOOSH!". Never say I wasn't cool. You're smarter than me though, I didn't wear shoes. I remember my feet being ice cold! 5

I added a mistcloak to my outfit for this year as well. It was easy to sew, although cutting come 6 meters of cloth into stripes got annoying sometime. Thankfully there will be Sanderfans around to understand what I'm displaying. At the moment I plan to wear shoes, since our party is outside. 2
Darth Woodrack he/him Posted October 21, 2018 Posted October 21, 2018 You know your a sanderfan when you realize it's 2 in the morning and you can't stop sharding. 4

I remember my feet being ice cold! I can't believe I didn't attach any significance to the fact that I'm sixteen right now... Wow. Perfect year to do this. And... yeah. I live in Seattle. It's cold. And probably wet. Shoes? Good idea. 1

Silva Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 When you're driving to school and there's a stick balancing precariously on the edge outside your window. No better way to start a day then having your mind say "I am a stick."

And shoes are always a good idea, especially mid-autumn in a city! 21 hours ago, DarthWoodrack said: Why wouldn't you wear shoes? That is just weird. Correct, I was very weird! I hated shoes and honestly used the costume as an excuse to have bare feet.¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I lived in a really small town too and the streets were spotless, so I wasn't worried.
