Quick question for you guys! I’m going to Dragonsteel with a group of friends this year and all but one of us were able to get tickets. Is there any way she can still get a ticket even though they’re sold out? Do they ever add more tickets, or do people sell them? I also saw that on the website I can refund my ticket if I end up not being able to go, is there a way to get notified through email or something if someone refunds their ticket so my friend could purchase it? Edit: It turns out I accidentally bought 2 tickets for myself because the website was being weird and I had thought my first purchase hadn’t gone through. I was able to transfer that extra ticket to my friend so we’re all good!

Thanks so much for doing this again Tesh, I think it’s awesome for everyone to be able to share their stories here. If anyone is interested, here are the green 17th Shard symbols. I did not make these, I just have them saved on my device from previous years.

1. I...don’t have any? It’s a more recent thing that’s come up and I haven’t been as active on the Shard recently. I have friends and if anyone wants to call me their shardbuddy, go for it. I’ve just never really used the term. 2. Creativity, effort, something I agree with, and humor. Those are the main ones. Or, for example, if I created a thread and people posted on it, I’d probably upvote most of those because I appreciate that people took the time to look at and reply to my topic (unless a bunch of people started replying but that hasn’t happened yet haha). 3. I’m not sure honestly haha. I follow people whose status updates I like, people I feel I’ve become friends with, or just people who I think are really cool/funny and I want to get to know better. 4. I think they can be related but don’t necessarily have to be. Shardbuddies and followers are pretty closely related in general, I think. I guess you’re more likely to upvote a shardbuddy or someone you’re following’s post just because you’re more likely to see it. But I’m not going to upvote someone just because I follow them, it will be based on my previous answer. 5. No idea haha. 6. Definitely!! PMs, intro threads, little interactions, and all sorts of random stuff. It’s really a cool place here and I have lots of fun memories. 7. Eh, probably not haha. I haven’t been very active lately anyway, so some people might notice, but probably not many. 8. I don’t know honestly. Ene’s right about herself, I think. I don’t know Omi well enough to say, so I guess that might be a yes?

Hmm, I’m trying to think back to when I first met her. It was in the TUBA PM. I don’t remember exactly when I first met her, but I do remember that recently after I joined, she and Archer were talking about their kids and then adopted us all haha. She seemed really funny, cool, and creative. I don’t remember much else, but it was definitely a good impression.

Sorry for the double post, but I wanted to share for today too and didn’t want this thread getting buried. As I was watching The Christ Child today, this is one part that really stuck out to me. You can see in his eyes that he knows this child is the Savior and you can tell being in His presence makes him feel the spirit so strongly. This brings me hope because I know He is the Christ and can help me become better.

This is a picture that brings me peace. Being in nature is so comforting for me and helps me to feel closer to Christ. My friend took this one on our way back from Mesa Falls.

Someone who represents Christlike love for me is my grandma. All of my grandparents have this trait, but I think this grandma especially works hard to show it. She is just so kind and consistently trying to help others and make sure they feel appreciated.

This isn’t on Christmas, but anytime from Thanksgiving to a week before Christmas, we do gingerbread houses! If we’re with my mom’s side of the family, it gets pretty intense. We have tables full of decorating candy and it usually takes the whole day to finish our houses. It’s super fun! It’s fun with just my family or my dad’s side too, but we pretty much just use the stuff in the kits haha.

Well I like 16 since it’s the Cosmere number. And 3 is pretty cool too if you think about it. Plus, it’s a magic number. And 5 and 8 are good too. But if I had to choose just one, probably 3. Edit: And that was my 1,500th post haha.

So I preordered the book, but the release party is earlier in the day than I was expecting, so unfortunately I’m going to be at work. Would I be able to watch it afterward or can it only be watched live?

Pretty good. A little stressed about school, but otherwise good. Yeah, okay, so basically my plan was to dress up on the Shard for Halloween, change back to normal, and then switch again for Ookla season. I did the same thing not last year but the year before, so I figured it would be fine. I didn’t think to check if the name change rules had changed (which they had). Instead of being 3 in a 60 (or maybe 90) day period like it used to be, it’s now only 2 name changes in a 90 day period. Which messes with my plan. So I decided to stay in my Halloween costume (PrincessPeach) until Ookla season so I could still be an ookla this year. But other than that, I was Peach for Halloween because I’ve always wanted to irl (since I was like 4) but all the costumes you could buy were stupid looking, and I didn’t know anyone who could make me a costume. So I did it on the Shard where it requires virtually no effort! Also, P3ac4 (which is Peach with the 3=e and 4=h) is my username on nearly every other site, with her as my avatar as well. When I was 8 or 9, my dad helped me come up with it as my gamer tag, but I didn’t understand what that meant so I just used it everywhere haha. And now that I’m in the habit, I still do. I guess it just didn’t feel like it fit here though, so I chose Rebecca instead! Oh, um...I don’t know haha. I’m interested in a lot of different things. But I guess career wise, I love helping others and I love kids, so I’m going into teaching.
