  1. I'm pretty sure Devotion and Dominion were working together, too. Otherwise, why would they settle on the same planet?
  2. He didn't need to Invest in order to Splinter Devotion, Dominion, or Ambition. So I can't think of a really good reason why he'd need to Invest in Ashyn to Splinter Honor and Cultivatin, esp, since they weren't even nearly as invested on Ashyn as they were on Roshar.
  3. I don't think that they would have been bonded to Splinters of Odium. We know that Odium doesn't like to invest or to create Splinters, and only did so on Roshar because he's trapped. So I think it's unlikely he would have given the Heralds his power.
  4. There's actually a few threads about the new info! I know the search isn't great, but here are a few that are still on the front page, if you'd like to take a look at them
  5. That's...awfully weird. Is it a different language version, perhaps? Or an ebook that's been corrupted?
  6. Sazed is like the source of Feruchemy now. And his physical body is sort of dispersed throughout the power. So...I don't know if you could call him a Feruchemist right now. But if he were to become mortal again and not be dead, then yeah, I think he'd still be a Feruchemist. Maybe with stronger or oddly changed powers due to being a Sliver?
  7. But even the article says that it's unclear, and the following statement is kind of a guess, is how it reads to me. And we see twice that when the Stormfather appears is when a sphere is recharged. How are spheres recharged if that's not a perpendicularity? It makes as much sense to me that the appearance of the Stormfather isn't fixed and can happen at any point during the storm, making the perpendicularity erratic and hard to find.
  8. Welcome to the Shard! This is a pretty popular theory that a lot of people like. And I can see the thematic appeal of ending book 5 on a, "The Oathpact was renewed." Honestly, though, I don't really like it as an ending, and I think that it'd be a really bad bandage over a major problem. I think the problem of the Fused will be resolved in the first five, and the problem of Odium will be in the back five. I elaborate on my reasons here if you're interested:
  9. Szeth actually hid it in Jah Keved. Ninja'd on my own WoB!
  10. I am...not sure what you mean, sorry?
  11. There was a whole debate between me and someone else earlier in this topic about that (then we got reprimanded by Peter :D). In short, that's deliberate phrasing. And yeah, iirc, Nightblood being referred to as She by Lift is also on purpose.
  12. The quote is from Edgedancer.
  13. She is actually changing physically, though. She starts her period just before Edgedancer.
  14. Pewter enhances your natural healing abilities, iirc. So I don't think that burning pewter would help an Elantrian very much. It might make them able to avoid injury a lot better, though.

    Limited Investiture?

It's technically finite, but like hydrogen in the universe, effectively infinite for all intents and purposes.
  16. The Cognitive Realm is flat, and places where people aren't living and thinking about are compressed, so you can walk from one planet to another, and cross empty light years in steps. So people can walk from one planet to another. However, spren and similar beings are bound to where the concentration of power that created them is, so they cannot easily leave those places. Theoretically, there are ways, but it's hard and we don't know what they are.
  17. Yes, but that's not the Oathpact. That's the power of Honor and Cultivation binding Odium, is my point.
  18. Welcome to the Shard! Okay, since you've read everything in the Cosmere, did you notice that the man in Shadesmar swears "Merciful Domi"? And his name is the chapter title. Sound familiar to you? That's a big hint as to where he's from.
  19. The Oathpact was between Honor and the Heralds and binds the Fused to Braize. You're thinking of how the powers of Honor and Cultivation bind Odium to the Rosharan system.
  20. Ooops. Brain/finger disconnect haha.
  21. The Oathpact isn't a Sliver or a Splinter, it's an agreement between Honor and the Heralds. The Honorblades are Splinters, and the Heralds are likely held in their bodies by Splinter. I don't know that we can call them Slivers themselves, though.
  22. We don't actually know which of the three were bonded at the time of the Recreance. It probably was not the Sibling, because the Sibling was already withdrawing by then, but there's no confirmation on whether it was the Stormfather or the Nightwatcher. I do think it was the Stormfather, and that Tanavast sacrificed himself (since he was dying anyway) in order for his Cognitive Shadow to merge with the Stormfather and keep him from dying.
  23. Honestly, I doubt it. He really didn't seem all that knowledgeable about much.
  24. Well the Rosharans at the time of the flashback didn't actually use Investiture at all (except for secretive, isolated incidents/groups). So they wouldn't know anything about the properties of aluminum. It's only use is as a precious and rare metal.
