Hmm that's true. With enough Stormlight she might have been able to compensate for lack of bloodflow+oxygen long enough to transition to Shadesmar, then heal herself.

Causal bethrothal is used a few times--it seems to mean something like an intent to be betrothed, from the context.

It took time for Szeth to heal his wounds with Stormlight though. The small ones heal over pretty much right away, but the bigger ones take time. I don't know if there'd be enough time for Stormlight to heal a stab through the heart before dropping blood pressure led to unconsciousness?

When Shallan first goes into the room, she sees Jasnah's body on the floor, a bloodstain on the front, and the assassin shoving the knife hard enough to thump on the floor under the body. She doesn't see it the second time, when she barricades it against them, after she Lightweaves.

Forgive me if I seem dense but I don't quite understand how Jasnah could have faked her own death. She's not a Lightweaver so it wasn't an illusion. I read a suggestion where she Soulcast a copy of herself--but that seems like it would be really difficult, since she'd have had to also do the clothing, jewelry, etc. If she had time to soulcast something that complex, she could have just as easily soulcast the attackers into flame, like she did with the thugs in the alley during WoK. Maybe the transition into Shadesmar saved her? Do you bleed or absolutely need a physical body there?

I saw that but it kinda doesn't make a lot of sense. Dalinar is probably a better leader, and at least has a consistent intelligence than Mr. T. I wonder how T-Centric the Diagram is... lol...Given that the more "brilliant" he is, the less common sense he seems to have, I think he has a really big blind spot on who would be best to lead the nations of Roshar.

Yeah, Zahel has obviously traveled some long distances, but Hoid really gets places, and fits more with the unpredictable implications of the quote. For one thing, you never know what he's going to say next!

A little off topic but related--has anyone noticed the gender relations of the spren to their bondmates? Each human seems to bond a spren of the opposite gender (except for Dalinar who might have bonded the shard of Honor). I wonder if this is a coincidence or has some deeper implication. We know that people of either gender can join most orders, so are there male and female windspren? Hmmm...

I hope the title isn't too spoilery! Anyway the Diagram--did anyone else feel like it was a nod toward Isaac Asimov and psychohistory? And the Ghostbloods like the Second Foundation, trying to keep it on course? Can't wait to see what else he predicts. I wonder why Dalinar suing for peace means he has to be killed. Is it because of what's already happened (Parshendi betrayal) or something yet to come?
