I still think the shape of the continent looks either like a dragon, or like an Aes Sedai symbol I wonder if the more shallow the water in the Physical, the higher the mountains in the Cognitive?

I sharpened, upped the contrast, and enlarged the pattern/stamp/cymatic? on the Shadesmar map. I have no idea what it is Also...is there script very very faintly on the physical realm landmasses? It's most "clear" on the plains near the Valley on the map.

What is a dawnshard, though? There's not much info on them.

It's definitely Hoid. He makes no sense to us so far, his purpose is hidden, and he has access to all of the realms and worlds. He's also probably the most powerful non-Shardholder in the Cosmere.

It's a bit vague, but I think he does manifest powers, rather than just holding Stormlight. I don't think the spren bond affects what happens with Honorblades, so theoretically, it should be possible to bond an Honorblade and a Shardblade. Makes what Kaladin has sound pretty interesting, doesn't it?

But the spren have identity in the Cognitive Realm already. Cities, governments and so forth. How would that affect the splintering/re-uniting?

Except Investiture is never used up-it's just recycled. So when you use it, it returns to the "source" and is available to be used again. TLR wasn't burning up atium, he was hording it to keep it safe. At the end of HoA they burn up all the atium because Ruin found the hoard and they needed to get rid of it fast. Once it's used, it returns to the "source" to regrow again in the Pits. Also, the amount of Stormlight that one person uses seems to be a miniscule amount compared to the masses of Investiture running around on Roshar. Each bondable spren already has consciousness in Shadesmar. It's only when they cross over to the Physical realm that they need the Nahel bond. They can cross over anyway and exist here, but they'd just be mindless. FYI, a spren IS a tiny tiny splinter of a shard Syl confirms it, and I think Brandon does too. I'm not saying you're wrong that somehow the spren bonding is helping Odium in some way, but I'm not sure that the points you bring up support that theory.

Isn't Urithiru described as being above the clouds or above the highstorms? That's why there's so little crem buildup.

Hundreds, perhaps thousands of forms iirc. They really seem to correspond to the type of spren that is attracted, which depends on the song/rhythm that is sung during the highstorm.
