  1. Also there's apparently a city named after Isasik Shulin He sure gets around!
  2. luke, not your fault lol! It's still good to know, even though we're all apparently too dense to get it Ryshadium, kind of focus your eyes on the middle of the continent, and relax them a little. The dragon's head is the southern half of Alethkar and the Frostlands, the big lake there is the eye, and the two big wedges of the Frostlands are its jaws. Spinning around in circles a few times will also help
  3. Isakik Shulin's signature looks surprisingly like Jon Stewart's.
  4. Brandon seems to be hinting that Taln MAY not be who we think he is.......whaaaat? Now I don't know what to think! Q: 12. Are all the heralds aware that Taln is back? A: If that person actually IS Taln. I'm not saying he's not, but he may not be who you would think he is.
  5. *stares at map* All I see is that darn dragon lol
  6. Oh wow so many implications! Can't wait for the audio. Can you upload it too? I love to listen to the signings while working
  7. In the naming bits, I believe he mentioned how Kaladin got his name, so it's more of a coincidence. Whether Vasher will ever bring it up, who knows Also updated the top post with a bit more from Omaha, and a lot of grammar fixes
  8. I wonder if there's Returned blood in the Aimians, at least, because the way they can change their appearance pretty easily.... I need to sort through these and add the ones I don't have to my compilation
  9. Lift interlude: So either Lift is mistaken, or Darkness is surgebinding. Of course, if he's surgebinding, that doesn't mean he has his honorblade, since he could possibly surgebind by himself. We also have a WoB that Hoid did not switch the blades (Taln's Honorblade/Dalinar's blade). Doesn't mean he didn't take it, of course
  10. There's a WoB that Hoid and Kelsier do not get along at all
  11. 9: Didn't Brandon say the letter in WoK was to a dragon? So we probably haven't met up with her? yet.
  12. I always thought that referred to Szeth surgebinding due to the Honorblade, and Kaladin Surgebinding through the Nahel bond.
  13. I don't think there's a cymatic pattern for the Shattered Plains yet, but you are right, the compass rose mark that we've seen in so many places is veeerrrrrryy close to the map of the Shattered Plains that Shallan drew! There aren't quite enough half circle thingies around the edges is the biggest difference I'm seeing.
  14. Do the mountain ranges correspond to the Rocky Mountains here in Utah plus California/Nevada/Colorado? The Misted Mtns could be the Sierra Nevadas, the ones that contain the Valley+Urithiru are the Uintahs/Wasatch range and the Unclaimed Hills are the ummmm whatever the Colorado plateau is
  15. You mean you haven't started drooling yet?
  16. He was able to heal his wounds with lots of Stormlight, which has healing properties. Since Szeth can't take in Stormlight naturally, he's less efficient at it and his Blade eats up a lot of it, so he isn't able to force it through the dead limb to heal it. I imagine it has to do with the way his sDNA interacts with the Investiture.
  17. Is it that the continent roughly forms the double pupil of the Almighty?
  18. Is there a list somewhere of Questions We Want To Ask?
  19. Added Lexington signing so far from gpmushu, tganchero, and Sirscott13's WoB image. Edit: Spelling.
  20. ROFL getting strange looks from coworkers because I'm giggling helplessly! Maresia you're awesome.
  21. I overlaid the frostlands map, got it as close as I could, then drew the lines, and copied and repositioned them across the map, matching the last line of the last set I copied to the first line of the next set, so they should be within a pixel or 5 of being accurate...I didn't curve them though, which is important on a globe! You know, something's been eating at me. The KR decided to build Urithiru further west, "in the place closest to Honor." With it being roughly in the center of the continent, the closest distinctive thing I notice is that it's awfully close to the Valley where the Nightwatcher is. But Nightwatcher is supposedly something of Cultivation's? Or she's Honor and Cultivation's lovechild...
  22. Wow I have no idea what you said but it sounds awesome!
  23. Yes I did! I wonder if the continent was once a perfect oval with those at the opposite ends? Also there are lat lines at the edges of the monochrome map, but in some places, there are two...
  24. I have no idea why. It's not quite different enough to be because of round vs flat. More like someone stretched one in a few areas, and compressed in others. So one is slightly less accurate. Anyway, this is the best I can do, until someone smarter with proper tools comes along And don't even ask me to number those longitudes, my brain shut down already!
  25. I'm overlaying the images in PS, and the edges just don't fit quite right, so I'm going to have to average it out.
