    There are musicspren, gloryspren and romancespren, so I would call those good sensations. It seems like it has to be an emotion that you can immerse yourself in (like during creation of art) in order to attract a spren.

    Fyi, it's Shalash, with one L Brandon confirmed that the first 5 books will have prologues that show a different PoV of Gavilar's death (I presume you meant him, not Dalinar ). It's widely thought that the drunk :Have you seen me?" person is Jezrien, the one talking about "My lord's blade" is Kalak, and he's talking to Nale. "That monster" is probably referring to Szeth, and he's carrying the Honorblade that once belonged to Jezrien. Th Heralds all seem to be epitomizing fallen angels in that they have twisted or reversed the ideals they once stood for. Therefore Nale hunts down surgebinders who have broken the law, Shalash destroys art, and Kalak seems rather craven. I'm pretty sure Jasnah was thinking of having Elhokar's wife assassinated. She's clearly a bad queen and Jasnah is very protective of her family, even from not-so-physical threats.

    I wonder if the shards are numbered at all and whether their number is what determines the number tht is common on that world? Like, Honor is 10, Preservation was 16, etc.

    Because according to Brandon, with Jasnah there, Shallan wasn't able to "come into her own."

    WoB is also that Jasnah's "last thoughts" were of escaping. So yeah.

    I'm using Editpad, which is so much better than Notepad, but is still pretty basic, and that usually works, but in this case it didn't. *shrug* I'll sort it all out tomorrow.

    Yeah sorry, I have no plans to change browsers lol. Firefox has served me well over the years, and Chrome has its own issues. And there's no way I'm using IE.

    Yeah I probably will paste it all back in, and re-do it. I tried it with a plain text. Her post looks great, I copy it, paste it into my plain text editor and there's all those line breaks and weird spaces. Firefox, at least, is not giving me the option to copy as plain text. Oh well, I'll get it straightened out soon enough.

    lol yeah I started this thread because I didn't see how it was possible, but arguments have convinced me that she used what Stormlight she could get to keep herself from dying, then Elsecalled to Shadesmar. It makes the most sense at this point.

    When I copied it to my text editor it added a bunch of extra line breaks and stuff. Nothing that they did, probably something with the way bbcode copies. I copied what I didn't get to into my first post anyway, so you can see what I mean if you want. I just have to fix all that junk eventually I was also trying to cut out the non SA/Cosmere stuff and I have the horrible feeling that I cut out something I shouldn't have...

    Out of curiousity, what is the need to have Jasnah paired up with someone? This is the 3rd? thread of that kind and I don't quite understand why she can't be happy in her singlehood? I'm not trying to be offensive, I'm genuinely curious.

    Okay got Outis'S DC transcription and recording edits done, and started on Kurikstans. I'm still fixing formatting issues on the latter, and I'm not sure if I cut the right (non SA/Cosmere) stuff out. I'll go over it again tomorrow or Wednesday and make sure I got what I was supposed to. The little "angel" is being a pain this week, so getting stuff put together is difficult

    I think the "he'd" refers to Pattern speculating that the Stormlight had kept Shallan alive.

    Shallan talks about how she felt sick when her mother and father argued, so I think that even before she killed her mother, there was a fair amount of stress in her life, quite easily enough to break her. Also, birth trauma can cause the breaking, so really no one is exempt from the process

    Added Outis' Q&A, will work on the others over the next few days as I can, but like I said, might be Tuesday before I can sit down and get them all, and listen to the various transcripts to get a word-for-word.

    Maybe the entire continent rotates regularly, with the pivot point being the Purelake, The Valley, or Urithiru. Or better yet, the entire planet rotates like that and the highstorms/Everstorm are caused by pulses of energy coming from Braize.
