  1. Also, if the Nightwatcher is a part of Cultivation, presumably, she wouldn't want the world to be destroyed.
  2. On the days when he's most compassionate, he doesn't have the mental ability to interact with people. He says that he literally spends those days drooling in a corner and staring at a wall. This really isn't a state that would be particularly helpful to humans, unless doing nothing is helpful On his slightly-less-idiotic-than-a-cremling days, he cries for the things his smarter self is doing. Also doesn't sound very effective in saving the world. I agree that his work for the Diagram is pretty psychopathic, though, and may not result in what he's hoping for.
  3. I agree with Shardbearer, it was probably Nazh. He makes a comment in his drawing about how long he had to sit there watching bridgemen to get the drawings done right.
  4. Can you upload the audio as well? Would love to hear it
  5. *wildly speculative theory* Maybe the spren were the ones who ripped the intelligence from the parshmen (sprenless, soulless). The KR found out that this opened the parshmen to the influence of Odium and brought about the Desolations, and wanted nothing more to do with them! *end wildly speculative theory*
  6. Also Rayse is described as a rather despicable person who wanted to hold to the piece of ''God's own divine hatred." Doubt he wants to hold anything back
  7. I actually cut out quite a bit of non SA stuff, for length purposes and such Edit: I took out the WoT line. I don't know how I kept skipping over it mentally
  8. oooh, I didn't even think of that lol Yeah that shouldn't be there at all, since I'm trying to keep this SA specific. I'll take it out on my next editing run.
  9. Actually, I meant DiamondMind's request. I didn't see any WoT references in the Q&A list. Can you point it out to me?
  10. Brandon also said that Kaladin is not under Odium's influence, so it doesn't seem likely that the Nahel bond would open someone to that.
  11. I have the bit about Lift already, but got a look for the new shard bit? Also edited the top post to have the Q&A's in spoiler tags, by request
  12. Doesn't the charge that the spike gets depend on the metal? Like steel would get Pushing, etc, and how the bronze earring Vin wore gave her enhanced Seeker powers, even though it was in her ear.
  13. Wouldn't it be awesome if the greatshells were made to be the counter to the thunderclasts, and people have been hunting and killing some of their most powerful allies for millennia?
  14. I think it is a lot harder for Shallan to break her oaths than Kaladin, but I don't think it's anything special about Kaladin--rather it's a thing of Lightweavers and Windrunners. Lightweavers deal in deception. Pattern actually likes it when Shallan lies, although he likes it even more when she makes a lie that becomes true, or a mix of lies and truth. To advance as a Lightweaver, though, she has to speak a Truth to herself. It doesn't have to be a big or traumatic truth, just a strong one. Her first Truth was "I'm terrified" I believe. Purely true 110% at that moment. I don't think anything would happen if she didn't speak a truth, other than she wouldn't advance/get what she wanted(go to Shadesmar). As an addendum to that, I think that the more powerfully she hid that truth, the stronger the bond to Pattern and her ideals when she finally speaks it. Denying or hiding from a truth to herself now might hurt her bond with Pattern but I'm not sure on that one way or the other.
  15. I believe this was answered in the Mistborn books. Don't have them handy at the moment but it was something like how it was a waste to use Mistborn because only one of the powers would transfer, and he (Lord Ruler or Ruin) preferred to corrupt a Mistborn and give him the spikes to enhance his abilities.
  16. Oh that makes sense It'll still take a bit though, but I'll work on it. I'll keep posting in text if there are new items, and add the tags in as I go down the list.
  17. Pretty sure the Ancient of Stones is Taln. He's Stonesinew too and it fits with his attribute. I thought that T just wrote thoughts down as he thought of them in whatever method he had handy at the time. But it makes more sense that he wasn't sure who would get to read his writings before he could prevent them, so encrypted the things he felt needed to be kept secret.
  18. Brandon said that "Zahel" is on Roshar because there is something there that he can get much more easily than where he's from
  19. I think Alakavish and Nohadon were before the KR were founded. I'm not sure why I think this, other than that I don't think the KR would bring a people to war.
  20. Are you thinking of the thunderclasts? They're made out of voidspren and rock itself. I'm not sure how the mechanics work, but the voidspren literally animates stone, which pulls out of the ground and starts attacking. See Dalinar's vision at the beginning of WoR. I'm not sure what affect the Everstorm will have on greatshells, but I suspect not very much, otherwise they'd have been attacking the civilians while they traveled to Urithiru after the Everstorm passed.
  21. There's a WoB where he says some of the KR orders would be very happy with what Adolin did. Heavily inferred by body language and expression was that the Dustbringers were one of them. I don't think he's going to go evil, or at least, not Darth Vader evil
  22. I think Pai did those things out of righteous fury, rather than as being one of the diagramists (should there be 1 m or 2??). Having a lazy, selfish, deluded Queen of Alethkar could be reason enough for removal for someone as protective as Jasnah.
