  1. The Dor wouldn't have existed before Devotion and Dominion were Splintered. Also, the region thing is completely due to the fact that the Dor and the power of the two Shards is stuffed in the CR instead of being in the SR like it usually is. So no Aons and none o the geographical factors would have been in play before their Splintering. So I don't think that Elantris could have existed before Devotion and Dominion were Splintered. There's also these WoBs Elantris wasn't built that long before the Arelish people found it AonDor was working before Elantris existed
  2. Everything is listed here https://coppermind.net/wiki/Hoid
  3. Probably not. Trell appears to be Shard or an Avatar (of Autonomy). That wouldn't have anything to do with the Beyond, which is Beyond the Realms, something the Shards can't touch, and not something Brandon's ever going to confirm or deny.
  4. Heliodor is for flesh, topaz is for bone.
  5. It's a regrowth fabrial. She uses it to heal Dalinar and Taffa's injuries, I believe. Here's the full context of that quote and a little later Implying that her uses of it are limited, which wouldn't be the case for an Edgedancer or Truthwatcher.
  6. No, I was just pointing out that RAFO doesn't tell us anything.
  7. They're all RAFOs so they don't really say anything? In the released Dragonsteel chapters, Dragonsteel is semi-liquid. When someone touches it, it becomes what they desire, and that shape is then permanent and incredibly hard, nearly indestructible. None of that matches how aluminum behaves.
  8. Pewter would keep you healthier while you stored health, so you'd be able to store a bit more without feeling too sick. But it's not a huge amount.
  9. It's very unlikely. You can't soulcast into other god-metals, but you can soulcast into aluminum.
  10. Note the tense on the question. Three Shards have existed on Roshar. Then the one already mentioned, in the present tense Three Shards have existed on Roshar, and Odium is the third Shard.
  11. So the way I read these is that Preservation changed people's spiritwebs so that instead of aluminum Mistings, they're atium Mistings. And that when Sazed Ascended, he changed spiritwebs back so that aluminum Mistings are born, and atium ones aren't.
  12. Odium Splintered Devotion and Dominion first, of all the Shards, so I would imagine that it wasn't very long after the Shattering that the Dor formed from their power. Given the Ire are Elantrians, they would have to post-date the Splintering of Devotion and Dominion and the formation of Elantris, since the Dor and Elantris wouldn't have formed before then. I would guess that most of them are pre-Reod, but that they probably have some members by now that are post-Reod. Elantris isn't thousands of years before Mistborn, so something under 2000 years?
  13. I get that this is meant to be light and fun, but can I say that judging women by their physical appearance is making me extremely uncomfortable?
  14. 2. is sort of Harmony. He's more involved than the other Shards that we've seen. Largely working through the kandra, but also through people like Wax and the like.
  15. But there's also this one I don't know what would qualify as "Soon aftermath" other than the lines fading around Jasnah.
  16. It's an error int he text and it's in the typo thread somewhere. I think it was fixed in the paperback.
  17. Hatred can be hot or cold. It can be calculating and patient and careful. Odium's a tactician, not just a hot-headed warrior.
  18. That's basically what I was trying to say, with just a little bit of a difference
  19. She recreated them at least once. Lift sees her hugging herself, not Veil and Radiant. And that sort of has to be the case, since Shallan wasn't moving between the illusions of Veil and Radiant. She was creating them over and over again, but which one she was wearing was changing. And also, like I said, Jasnah not saying anything, and Brandon saying he wants Shardplate to be a big reveal.
  20. Well there are arguments either way. But my reasoning was that Jasnah would have said something, and Radiant wouldn't have always been wearing it. Shallan made multiple Veils and Radiants. And she was straining to keep the illusions going toward the end. It'd make lots of sense that the Radiant that she was at the time wasn't wearing even illusionary Shardplate, either to conserve strength/Stormlight or because that one wasn't wearing any. Also Arm, not Shardplate, armor, or armor covered arm. And she was so nonchalant about it being Radiant, she doesn't react at all to what she's wearing. I have a hard time believing that Jasnah would have let Shallan managing Shardplate pass without any reaction at all.
  21. I think that the Shardplate is illusory, or wasn't even on the Radiant that Jasnah touched. It was on Radiant when she first appeared, but that doesn't mean it was on Shallan-as-Radiant. In addition, Brandon has said that he wants someone getting Shardplate to have a pretty nice reveal. He's not going to have it happen offhand like that. Plus, Jasnah made a point of asking Shallan if she had her Shardplate yet when Shallan claimed to be a full Radiant. If Shallan had accomplished Shardplate at that time, I'm certain Jasnah would have said something.
  22. Oh sure. I never said she'd never be able to. I was saying she hadn't at the Battle. And I'm trying to clarify what's meant by solid.
  23. I mean, it's not really necessary, it's just doing the math. A vial contains, what, an ounce of fluid and a handful of flakes? Let's call it 5 grams of flakes. Burn speed depends on the metal and flaring, etc, so that's not readily quantifiable, but let's just pull out a number and call it an average of 10 vials a week. That's 50 grams a week. Scadrial has the same length of year as Earth, so that's about 2.5 kg a year. Say their active Allomantic burning life is 50 years. That's about 130 kg. There are over 900kg in a ton. So 90 Allomancers burning 10 vials a week for 50 years to equal a single ton. There's 60,000 tons of steel in the Empire State building. I couldn't find an annual production of bendalloy, one of the rarer and faster metals, but cadmium is something like 23,000 tons a year in 2012. That'd be something like 2000 bendalloy Mistings or Mistborns burning 10 vials a week of bendalloy for 50 years to equal one single year of production. Running out isn't a problem.
