Just wanted an updated count, so here it is. So according to this WOB: and this: there are 10 shardworlds. We also know there are 16 Shards. I made a table with all of these and noticed the following: Shardworld : Shards Scadrial : Ruin/Preservation (plus Trell?) Sel : Devotion/Dominion Nalthis : Endowment Roshar : Honor/Cultivation Braize: Odium Taldain : Autonomy None : Unnamed Shard (Possible Survival Shard) Now this is 10 shards with 6 worlds. However, we can add a few more in. Yolen (Dragonsteel) is clearly part of the saga, a core world, and thus probably has a shard based on the quotes above. Shards: 11, Worlds: 7. Aether of Night also fits in this category by the same logic as Yolen. 12:8(?) The Dark One also may have a shard and is a shardworld, albeit it is unknown if it is major. 13:9(?) And of course, the mysterious Vax. 14?:10 That may be all the shardworlds, though I admit, some may be wrong. Also, between these worlds are 2 more Shards. The Survival Shard may be one. Odium has Shattered at least one more. Any WOB's that can add to this would be appreciated.

Windrunner 11 Skybreaker 4 Dustbringer 8 Elsecaller 12 Truthwatcher 8 Stoneward 6 Bondsmith: 20

Plus it was made by Vasher, who is a Returned. Returned are created by Endowment, who did not exist prior to the Shattering.

In SH, Hoid has Spanky the corpseboat because he said he would fall through the Cognitive Realm otherwise. Why? Nazh and Khriss walk around on their own without a corpseboat - why did Hoid need one?

then there's illogiconalsium.

So why exactly is Nightblood so stupendously overpowered?
18th Shard replied to kroen's topic in Warbreaker
Technically, drabs live without their Breath, not the whole soul. -
Pathfinder, what Voidus is implying is that simply because AonDor is powered by the Dor, does not imply it naturally arose as an interaction with the Dor. For example, Hemalurgy is inherently Ruinous, yet Harmony's ascension did not change this. WOB do show that Ruin and Preservation have experienced some intermingling, yet the systems that originated with them remain tainted by the Intent of the Shard. I.e. as AonDor seems heavily Devotion-ly Intented, it can be theorized with as much or more validity as your point of view that AonDor arose as Sel's interaction with the shard Devotion. Aon-a is a big point, and Seons [splinters of Devotion] that hold Aons within them, appear mainly in territory specified to be that in which one can be an Elantrian. Conversely, Skaze [splinters of Dominion] appear in Fjordell, and Dakhor seems to focus heavily on being Dominant over others. This leads many to very logically conclude that these systems arose as interactions with Devotion and Dominion respectively. Their 'patron' shards' splintering does not have to change the intent of the system, merely the source of power.

this actually explains how the lord ruler died (bands spoilers)

Jumpdrive post up. Finally get to show him being creative with his PI. Blaze, any reaction you want can lead into meeting with Kenshin/Argon. Also, does anyone know how blood supposedly smells (and if its not firsthand, that's fine), cause Jumpdrive gets nauseous, but I dont have firsthand experience on how broken bodies would smell, so... Also, I think a picture of Funtimes and Obliteration where he's confused and holding a giant candle and standing on a birthday cake.

Jumpdrive dodged another ghoul. These things were menaces. He heard Buttercup’s less than calm entry into the building, then the faint sound of crying and things breaking. The last ghoul in this apartment died to the third bullet to the face. He’d only missed four times out of the past eight, so his marksmanship was clearly improving. Finally, the noise stifled. Buttercup’s voice rang out. “Tim, if you're telling the truth, then I'm truly sorry." Excellent blackmail material. Not that I ever would, but you know. It's the thought that counts. He probably had blackmail on all the Queens, but he wasn't stupid enough to try. His Firewall was good, but starvation would still probably kill him. He hadn't tried, seemed like bad for his health. “Jumpdrive?” He breathed in to call Buttercup, but at that moment, a ghoul burst in, followed closely by a companion. Their eyes practically shouted insanity as they paused, noticing him. Sparks. He fired the gun. Click. ‘You are out of ammunition,’ Locator said. Sparking sparks. “Buttercup! Here. Quick!” The wall crumbled inward, the wood and drywall splintering and powdering around Her Majesty’s overly dramatic entrance. I did ask for it. Then he saw the bigger problem. The roof of the building, this floor’s ceiling, was not going to hold up. Before he could speak, Buttercup punched a ghoul into the exterior wall. The ceiling collapsed, pulling the outer wall down with it, probably a ton or so of bricks, wood, and concrete falling down. Jumpdrive instinctively threw his hands up as his Firewall shimmered green, debris becoming ones and zeroes. Then the furniture from above fell down, encasing him inside the debris pile. The floor beneath him collapsed, and he fell, stopping as his Firewall caught him, but debris piled around him. The Firewall only blocked things that would hurt him, so everything just around him continued to build and entrap him. Then, after what seemed minutes, but really just about thirteen seconds, the debris had settled mostly, much of the dust on top of him. He sneezed, then looked around. He had almost enough room to swing his arms, and dust and insulation trickled past the stove top that had landed on a broken support beam. The fridge and granite countertop of the family that lived upstairs had blocked him into a corner. Outside the mound of debris, he could hear Buttercup killing a few more zombie citizens. ‘She sounds occupied and you can't push your way out. Recommended course of action is to sit until she finishes. Cleanup teams are sure to find you,’ Locator’s calm voice suggested. “That’s … boring. I just have to find - there.” The broken beam on which the stove had landed was jagged. Jumpdrive threw himself toward the point, as if he was going to impale himself. His Firewall activated, beam vanishing. The stove fell and was also absorbed into the data streaming around him. A few more bricks and bits of the room fell into the glowing green field, but Jumpdrive ignored them. He stepped through the hole. Buttercup crouched just outside, the last ghoul flying up from a kick. “My Queen,” he said. “Thank you for coming. I… uh… had a few problems with catching them all, so that’s worked out well, I guess.” Now that the adrenaline was starting to drain out, Jumpdrive felt a little queasy looking at all the blood and broken bodies around the building. And the smell. Authors never mention how disgusting this is, he thought. “I think the Epic that caused this is gone, was gone before we even got here. I need to get back to the library and check some data feeds, change clothes, maybe have Michael check me for shock. Which is assuming he’s alive. I need to find that out, he was figuring out how to arrange the cameras downtown and I can't do that myself. Too much work. I’m rambling, aren't I? Probably stress induced, might be diversionary subconsciously to help ignore the blood. Sorry, I will get going then.” Jumpdrive started toward the library. Should I have bowed, or shook hands? Hers were kind of bloody, though. That seemed like an abrupt ending, hope she didn't think it was rude.

The Salem post was not cleared, nor would it work. Paradox's PI would still slow the incorporeal sword - it slows time on anything/one that will hurt him, regardless of corporeality, if it is hurting him at the moment, etc. Incorporeals aren't a problem for Paradox. Also, he wouldn't be wounded - Redshirt's in the room. Therefore, he would grab the new Epic and Redshirt, port to a volcano in Hawaii, and drop the other Epic into it, then port back. Redshirt isn't Paradox's student. Redshirt would regrow his head. Also, Paradox wouldn't be furious as much as amused. Jumpdrive post upcoming, just having Blaze OK some of Buttercup's actions and it will be up.

Agreed. A denser bead will burn longer than a less dense bead, i.e. 2 beads of the same metal and volume will burn proportionally with their mass. Clearly, this doesn't apply to affecting different metals' rates. I get from this quote that each metal burns at a certain rate (e.g. 2 grams per hour) and that thus two non-equally dense beads with equal volumes of the same metal burn for the same length per particle, and the denser one thereby burns longer. Really, this is being overthought - Brandon is probably describing it fairly simply, it's not spoilery at all.

Teleportation epic teleports him to the sun. Whoops. Edit: Realized Obliteration both could do this, and would come back with way too much power assuming he didn't port away.

I borrowed your lack of logic. Don't worry, I left the spiked Identity of Aristotle the Buffoon the IVth.

People you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley

That's what it already was. We used to have a computer to figure out the question to life, but the mice ate the wiring and the cheese alivened. -
Perhaps his spren will become important.

I don't know, I dont think they would go for Corvallis at all - for the same reasons they don't operate in Newcago much. Megan's arguments that killing Steelheart or Conflux would undermine the city's half-decent infrastructure would apply here. They would probably go for someone like Hypno, Drainer, or Atrophy, but not most of the major city leaders or people like GOOD/Broadcast/Jumpdrive.

Collab between 18th Shard and Blaze1616: This Color is Blaze. Jumpdrive sighed. Broadcast was, as usual, being a pain. “I’m at SW Third Street. There is a bunch of ghouls attacking here, and I think some vanillas are going to be eaten.” Broadcast’s heart skipped a beat. More ghouls. They were popping up everywhere, seemingly faster than they could be dealt with. How could the city defeat something that was propagating so quickly? Broadcast took a swig of his coffee, the heat soothing his pulse, but attitude was needed to soothe his agitation. “I see...and you’re not stopping them? I don’t see how I’m supposed to help.” “Well, seeing as I have no offensive powers and my uh… marksmanship skills are somewhat subpar, maybe you could get someone over here to help?!” Jumpdrive spun as another ghoul darted out behind him. It lunged for him, his Firewall activating at stopping it in its tracks. It’s? Is it still gendered? he mused, then decided people’s lives were slightly more important right now. Stupid people, getting in the way of my learning. “Maybe see if Queen Buttercup is available at all? Or Blossom? Really almost anyone. I'd even be fine if you got Atrophy here, as long as he stopped the sparking things.” Language. I'm really annoyed now aren't I? ‘Your pulse is several tens faster than average, and signs of adrenaline are abundant,’ Locator notified him. Sparks. Okay, terrified for my life is probably closer to the truth. How would my Firewall react if I have a heart attack? If under immense stress, cardiac rupture is possible. Focus, Jumpdrive. The ghoul tried to dodge around him. Another ghoul burst out of the building. ‘They appear to be coming from inside.’ Locator pulled up an audio clip from right before the attacks had begun. ‘And this sound could possibly be screams. Perhaps the Epic responsible is inside.’ Jumpdrive jogged toward the doorway. Broadcast rolled his eyes. He’d forgotten that Jumpdrive had no offensive powers, much like himself. Hearing more commotion across the line, his chest briefly panged with pity. “All right, I’ll get in touch with Queen Buttercup and ask her to send some help.” He immediately hung up, and took a moment to sip his coffee. Moving to dial Buttercup’s number, his phone began buzzing before he could start. His eyes darted over the caller I.D., a small smile rising to his lips as he read “Queen Buttercup” silently. He took another sip before answering, waiting the mandatory three buzzes. “Ah, just the Queen I was wanting to talk to!”

Just make everything in that scene try to kill Paradox. Definitely X-men version, IMO. Sorry about inactivity, finals + Christmas + new classes are killing me. We are starting integration by parts for Calc 2. Homework takes way longer to understand. Blaze, I will try to get on that Jumpdrive collab post in the next day or two, just add whatever ideas/scenes you want in and I can try and work around them.

Paradox would be an interesting fight. He slows things down as they approach to harm him, but the Flash could theoretically move before the PI kicked in, which would make the Pi activate earlier.

Just make sure you put up one of those kid gates in front of Alley 35. Congrats!

I dont remember if you said you were going to do a post from Switch or not, but if so, you could work with him. Edit: Also, Blaze, what were you expecting in a Jumpdrive reply post?
