I like Comatose's healer Epic - making it a touch only power balances him a lot. How would this ability interact with things such as birth defects that cause missing limbs or amputations, or some injury a pregnant woman has transferred to a guy? Phoenix and Jumpdrive post up. Jumpdrive is honestly my favorite Epic I've created - he's similar to me, and when you see more of him, he's got a witty and sarcastic commentary that he keeps going in his head when talking with people. And yes, he is completely insane. Locator is a hallucination, not an Epic power.

It does happen soon, but I want the queens gone. Rainamker, Blossom, and Cornucopia could all probably kill him on their own, and together its just overkill. Welcome, Bridge Boy! Does Thoron truly (and delusionally) believe he is a hero, or is he hiding his self-loathing from himself?

I have my post for Phoenix's reincarnation and Jumpdrive's introduction ready to post. I believe there is a few things until nightfall in Corvallis, so I can't quite post it yet. In the case that I leave on vacation prior to when it should be posted, Comatose can post it (I've PM'd it). I leave next Thursday, so any other Phoenix/Jumpdrive POV will have to wait until the end of July.

I just realized something pretty cool - with Phoenix, even when he dies of old age, he will reincarnate (a few seconds younger as goes to 'a perfect state' where his body isn't dying). Hence, if he dies of old age, you could stick him in water and generate steam, giving you infinite power for no cost.

No problem. Phoenix is introverted and hides his emotions, so either Silver or you can cover him as needed from Converter's or Iconoclast's POV. I actually have an idea for this: Iconoclast is distracting/ghoulifying/attacking guards out front, while Insight sneaks Phoenix in and gets Converter. Phoenix holds off IcyHot and Resistor, but IcyHot stops the fires from killing either. I think Converter should be drugged somehow, it makes sense and would help explain away why there isn't a fight. INsight then drops off Phoneix and Converter

Sheer willpower should work for a very short time; Prof said his little super hero gang lasted a little while, so depending on how long since Blink's rending, this shouldn't be a problem in this scene. When would Insight grab Phoenix, and when would he leave Converter/Phoenix after Converter is freed? Using Insight to drop them off outside most of the guards' range would solve the battle starting again tendency. Also, I will be absent for the last week of June and most of July, so don't expect me to be able to post then.

It shouldn't be there - the risk to the city's shield is a major deal - you would have Epics attacking (more than they are now) and population problems. Maybe the Osborn Aquatics Center? Just looking at a map, it's 2 miles away, and they could convert the pools to cells.

There are no specific locations for Rainmaker's headquarters in thread - the only locations mentioned are the immigrant's entrance site and the area where all the fights have been happening. Any ideas on where Rainmaker would set up HQ, and how large an area she would maintain?

Insight is the Epic Comatose created who kidnapped Euphoria (see his Epics of Oregon post). Phoenix was already going to help Converter, though mainly because Converter seemed to have the most destructive potential to the city. Iconoclast has not aided either before; I was merely suggesting that Insight could be manipulating Iconoclast and Phoenix into destroying Corvallis from behind-the-scenes (if Comatose is fine with that). You could have IcyHot and Resistor be nearby but not there, or chase down a diversion (Iconoclast's ghouls or Phoenix would work well here). Mannequin controlling guards (possibly from a distance to avoid messy deaths) would be a good idea, and knowing Gleeman IRL, I'm sure he would be fine with that, though we should still ask him. Where is Converter going to be held? I don't remember if there was a location or base discussed for imprisonment. I'll check the first few posts of Corvallis though.

I feel like the point of these threads is to torture our characters until they break, and then watch the destruction they cause. Of course, being Epics, they can cause quite a bit of damage. And thus Oregon was destroyed.

How do we want to do the Converter freeing? Which Epics do we want rescuing her? Phoenix and Iconoclast can both go for it, and Insight could free her very easily. We can work in that Insight is trying to take down Corvallis, and has given Phoenix and Iconoclast some nudges to destroy it - behind-the-scenes nudges like notes or messages. Insight could easily free Converter just by moving the restraints/Converter into his Cognitive space. Phoenix can supercharge Converter out of the prison as long as IcyHot wasn't there, and possibly if he is (Converter changing heat to electricity or kinetic energy). Iconoclast could sneak in and kill the guards with his hand turning to bone or something similar. Also, I want to get a Jumpdrive post in (could also use this to work Inhuman in as a field agent sent to check out something). Jumpdrive is probably monitoring the situation from a hidden base (filled with computer screens) via remote cameras on the guards or remote control helicopters, and will be analyzing the situation. After Converter escapes, which he will be watching, I think he will try and find Insight, Phoenix, Iconoclast and Converter (whichever participate in the freeing) and will get some new cameras in infrared or ultraviolet, energy emissions sensors, etc.

If you want, Phoenix can go either way here - join Converter or start a rebellion. He could even work for Insight. Your call, Comatose. You think Insight would have minions, especially High Epics?

I was going to have him work for the Queens in Corvallis, but now I'm thinking he would do better in Astoria, maybe as an ally of Azrael - he's an assassin who is very hard to stop, though not too OP as far as attacking others. He likes to slip in, kill his target, slip out. Jumpdrive can be a head of Information under Buttercup in Corvallis, monitoring video feeds from all over the city. He often goes on reconnaissance missions against any enemies nearby, collecting all information about them. He has an obsession to know everything, and goes to great lengths to uncover anything he doesn't understand, including downloading various textbooks and opening Wikipedia pages just to get as much info as possible. He has an AI named Locator in his head - a creation of his mind, Locator helps him keep track of the plethora of information he knows and to remember it quickly. And here we were arguing if Oregon didn't have enough Epics.

The Ghost Primary: Enhanced Physicality - More so in agility and speed than strength, though both are enhanced. Secondary: Enhanced Senses - think Tineye Passive: The more the Ghost uses his abilities, the less he interacts with the real world - smells and tastes fade away completely first, then sounds and tangibility, and finally visibility. All fade simultaneously, they just fade away at different rates, so they are gone completely in the above order. He can turn this on and off at will, though using it makes him lose touch with reality (he goes crazy, hears voices, etc.) Weakness: Snake Venom MO: Goes intangible, sneaks in, pulling out a hidden dagger, goes tangible and kills someone. He has learned various assassin techniques. Jumpdrive will be an intelligence agent - His Primary power used in these operations is known as downloading - merely by touching a non-animate object containing information (e.g. books, computers, papers, or drawings), he 'downloads' the entire thing to his eidetic memory. He can then put it onto it onto jumpdrives.His Prime Invincibility is a danger-initiated encoding, in which any non-Living objects are halted when they touch him, transforming into a series of green 1's and 0's, which remain hovering around him. He can then undo this transformation, though this takes some time. Living entities which attack him are stopped - a green Firewall blocks these from hitting him. After repeated attempts, the Firewall will recognize the person as a virus and absorb a small portion of them after every attack. this image looks like the binary around him, albeit without an opaque background, and the firewall looks like a droideka forcefield, but green.

Sunspot looks great. Good job! As I mentioned earlier from my phone, though I was somewhat pressed for time, I'm thinking of switching Jumpdrive and the Ghost in location. The Ghost would fit in Astoria, I feel, perhaps as one of Azrael's minions. Jumpdrive's original government assistance makes more sense in Corvallis, and would be more interesting. I still might have him betray the government, but only to a vanilla rebellion.

And now it's blue. Maybe saying the wrong color will confuse him into leaving it one color. Or he'll just turn it a different color.
