shards Does a shard have to have an intent to "be" a shard?
offer replied to Darkeye Venev's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Only the intent of honor is about binding stuff. Another shards` intents are not about it. As @Ookla the Frustrated. said the intent is not binding the investiture toghether but is an charasteristic of it - if you take a little piece of a shard it still has the same (or similar) intent. -
Mistborn V.S. 3rd ideal Windrunner

Radiant are more invested then allomancers burning metals but I dont think it is enough to block rioting/soothing, atleast we never so it being enough. Shardplate Is enough but I we never saw being radiant or invested being enough. -
My main problem with the whole SA is Adolin not beeing punished for killing Sadeas. In TWOK there was a major point of Alethi not killing rivals in the open (this is why Sadeas tried to kill Dalinar in a way that is deniable) so when he killed Sadeas I expected him to utleast get disinherited but then he admited it and nothing happend Since then I don`t like him. He is nice usually in other parts but every time he appears I cant forget how he wasnt punished for what he did.

Probably not worth it. The connection to other books almost don`t affect the plot of ROW - they will probably affect future books in the cosmere but you can discover the connection by reading the other books after ROW (and maybe reread some parts of ROW later). In conclusion my recomandation is to read ROW right now (or after warbreaker if you already started it). Mistborn era 1 is not very relevant to ROW. *Sixth of the dusk is a short story. It is part of the Arcanum Unbounded (collection of short stories, all taking place in the cosmere).

In ROW there is at least some small mention for something from almost any other cosmere book so in order to not miss ANYTHING you need to read all the rest. It is also possible to rad ROW before the non-SA cosmere books and you will understand almost everything (I read it before any non-SA book and it works well), but the important books to understand some of the "behind the scenes" stuff are: 1) Warbreaker 2) Mistborn era 2 untill BOM + secret history (secret history spoils something in BOM so it is best to read after). 3) Sixth of the dusk. 4) Elantris. Sixth of the dusk and Elantris are not very important if you are willing to see a minor detail that happens without you understanding exactly how/what it meens.

Through shadeshmar. Rabonial told Navani that you can`t go to other planets physically (they tried and failed) but you can in the cognitive realm. They will need to find a way to get back to the PR in Ashyn but they probably could find a way with their powers - Jasnah did manage it so it is possible with the transportation surge .

If I remember correctly she said she was born after the human came but her grandmother was alive when the human came.

I don`t think option 2 is breaking the terms - it is just loosing. But option 3 seems really interesting. It gave me the idea that maybe it is not Dalinar that intervenes but someone of his side (I think Dalinar will be the champion) - for example I ccan imagine a situation where Moash is Odium`s champion and Kaladin sees it and tries to stop the fight.

It could be funny if it actually Sigzil`s spren (aux) who became a dawnshard and Sigzil held him as a shardblade. I don`t think this is the case because Sigzil got the torment but maybe there is some weird reason he got it without actully beeing the dawnshard.

Are Honorblades made from Honors god metal
offer replied to Wits instant noodles's question in Cosmere Q&A
Honorblades are mades of Honor`s god metal. Shardblades are spren manifesting as physical objects so they are a mix of Honor`s and Cultivation`s god metals. -
During the final empire atium was very expensive. It is possible that the keepers did not have enough Atium to use it in such a way, at least not in a significant amount.

Does anyone still want a Moash redemption arc?
offer replied to Elsecaller_17.5's topic in Stormlight Archive
He is not sorry for his actions because logically he believes that he did it to help his freinds. He is definetly feeling bad for what he did and the suffering he caused to his freinds bad he is not sorry because he believe that was the best action possible. -
We did not see any example of someone using it so we don`t know exactly. We do know that Hoid is sometimes using fortune manipulation with some other unknown magic and then it seems that he knows that he need to go to a specific place for something important but he does not know why until it happens (there are few examples for this in the SA).
-
This is the case according to WoB: In this WoB Brandon is probably refering to the damaged seons in elantris. Also, in RoW we learn that the spren did not know ab out deadeyes before the recreance.
-
I also thought that it described similar to Trellium but on second read the description is of the cork and not the content of the vial at all.
-
We saw the cycle that Marasi killed whho had 4 spikes and wasnt controlled. Probably they found a way to use Trellium spike to not get controlled by harmony.

Wax seeing the allomantic lines without burning metals reminds me of Vin hearing the well of ascension without burning bronze. If I remember correctly that was because the hemulargy made her extra strong seeker. So maybe Wax digested Lerasium (or Lerasium-steel alloy) made him a stronger coinshot so now he sees the lines without burning metals?
-
In RoW avatars are mentioned as a thing Odium (or at least Rayse) does not do. It is possible that Taravangian will have a diverent opinion but Trell probably started working on Scadrian before Taravangian`s ascension.

There are WoBs that tells that sixth of the dusk take place in the space age of the cosmere, somtimes around mistborn era 4. And if you are looking for sources only from the books, in the postscript of sixth of the dusk (in Arcanum Unbounded) it says: Roshar outside of shinovar has no birds except for chickens* because originally it had only creatures that developed to adapt to its enviroment. The chickens in eastern Roshar were brought there from Shinovar (if I remember correctly Alethi still refer to chickens as animals from Shinovar). * There are geese in the horneater peaks as we learn in Rock`s POV,

The story sixth of the dusk take place in the far futue, few hundreds years after SA. The humans came to Roshar thousands of years ago - we don`t know what happend at first of the sun on this time but it was a lot before "the ones above" came there. Also, the aviars get their powers from Patji which is an avatar of autonomy, not from Cultivation.

The (real?) 3 kinds of fabrial
offer replied to in Truth, watcher of tv's topic in Stormlight Archive
This is a very nice observation - the "causin spren" do seem to do more complex things in a fabrial than other lower spren. This does not mean the categorization in the AA is wrong - this a just another division into categories based on use which is probably important to most Rosharans who want to use fabrials, while yours is based more on the basic principals behind the device which is the categorization important for "scienties". -
I really like this theory! I think it is more likely for them to be connected to Trell which I beieve is autonomy but it is a very interesting idea! Secret projectss spoilers:

The genes were very rare before Rashek`s accession and most of those those genes in modern Scadrial comes from the Lerasium beads. We also know that the characters believe that they can predict (not 100%, but with some success chance) whose children will be allomancers because we see it with the kidnapped women. However, I don`t think that Wax has "stronger" lineage than most other nobles (or even a lot of non-nobles). We know that 2 of his ancestors where allomancers but they are just 2 ancestors about 10 generations ago - they would make only a small influence on his genetics (and "spiritual genetics").
-
Sazed reversed the divernces but the skaa still dodn`t have "allomancy genes". The original introduction of allomancy to the nobles genes pool was not by the changes Rashek did, but by the beads of Lerasium he gave them.

I am pretty sure we did not see such thing. Allik told that with the medalions he can speak the language but still have an accent, and there is WoB that with better use of connection manipulation (such as Dalinar`s) you won`t have an accent. I don`t remember that you need identity manipulation to do that.
