  1. THIS THREAD HAS BEEN AROUND FOR TEN YEARS???!! Goodness me... 10/10!! I love Duo, even if he's a bit scary sometimes
  2. *Gets our lovely friend Rayse *Inserts a handful of boxings!
  3. He's been running rampant across the countryside, burning down villages, eating cattle, and... robbing the banks, too?! He's your son, can't you do anything?! Now that's just ridiculous... What makes you think that I've done it only once??
  4. * necroes * I love the word "uncharacteristically" ... dunno, it's kind of a monstrous word since it's just so long, the type of word I'd imagine somebody learning English for the first time would hate, but it's just so wonderful!
  5. Casually missed my fourth Shardiversary... :P I feel like an old mummy coming around here every once in a while just for TLT honestly, but I still stand by the belief that the 17th Shard is one of my favorite online communities ever!

    My pals, people like:

and others I'm forgetting, even if I haven't spoken with you in a while, I want you to know that I appreciate you!

And another random thing, I've really enjoyed seeing all the new kids come along! I know that sounds kind of cheesy, but a bunch of the new members that have joined fairly recently are cool, and I don't know, I just find it fun to feel so old seeing new people around :P.
    People like:

Anyways, just wanted to let everybody know that I appreciate all of you, and even if I'm not nearly as active as I was back in the day, I still love this community a lot! :D

  6. "Honestly, I know much less about Enullers and their powers than I'd like to admit..." Sequence said with a frown and a scratch of her head. "But, I have faith in Cricket! ... I think."
  7. Getting hit really hard on the head with a frying pan!
  8. I wanna spend an evening here and listen to stories about the Dark Forest... That sounds like it would be so much fun
  9. It was all just a dream
  10. And that's when I make my entrance, having been hiding behind a speck of dust!! I do a fantastic quadruple backflip and snatch The Sandwich from your hands, then run away as fast as I am able.
  11. Sequence nodded, passing her hand through the small field once again and closing her eyes for a moment... Then, the field expanded to encompass the entirety of the cavern. Just to test, Sequence summoned her Narrationblade in the form of the wooden cane she leans on. She held it up for a moment, looking at it intently. It buzzed for a moment, and... That's it. Sequence nodded in approval. "Is there anything else we need before Bacon can deposit the paper in the vault?"
  12. Sequence nodded in approval, looking around at the chamber. "Wonderful! Perhaps an energy field resistant to weaponry could help as well? I've experimented with the concept a bit, so I think I have the basics down..." Sequence waved her hands and a small dome appeared beside her, about the height of a person. The surface was mostly translucent, though it shimmered slightly. Sequence reached out, and her hand passed through it. Then, she summoned Conflict in the form of a sword, and tried the same. The sword stopped at the edge of the field. Sequence looked pleased with herself. "Thoughts?"
  13. Sequence studied the paper for a moment, then nodded. A small globe appeared in her hand, and she touched it, though her hand passed through it slightly. With that action, a mile of rock around the chamber in all directions was transmuted into the specified alloy.
  14. Sequence shrugged. “I don’t much care for literary tropes. I much prefer originality, don’t you?” Sequence poured herself a cup of tea, and then poured another and set it on the coffee table, if Rebus changed his mind.
  15. Sequence summoned Conflict again, holding it in her hands and looking down at it. ”… I think.. Not. I’ve grown rather fond of this one. And I also don’t think you’d stop seeking the Witherlord even if I gave it to you.” She dismissed the blade. ”Besides, there are other ways of ensuring you don’t get your hands on that paper.” She seemed much more relaxed now, and she sat back down in her rocking chair and gestured to the other tracking chair across from a small coffee table. On it, was a tea kettle, and Sequence tapped it on the handle and it immediately started to boil. ”Would you like some tea?”
  16. Sequence blinked at him a few times, processing his somewhat alarming words. She decided it was okay for the moment, and clasped her hands together with a smile. ”Splendid! I could certainly do so, if you tell me a bit about the metal. I am a Narrator after all! I Narrate things… I like to think I’m rather good at it.” ”The surveillance network is… Perhaps a tad unnecessary, as I know about everything that goes on in this world at all times, but one can never be too careful I suppose.” “Wonderful! Do you need my help setting any of them up?”
  17. Sequence stared at Cricket for a moment. ”… Enuller? Nullite? Uhh.. Congratulations! I think… I know I’m a Narrator and I really should know these things, but I don’t really know the full scope of Nullite’s properties, if I’m being honest… I know that it… Nullifies things, I think, so perhaps surrounding the vault in a layer could help?”
  18. “Any alternative,” She said, her voice raw. She leaned heavily on her cane again as she was overwhelmed by a particularly nasty fit of coughing. ”… Choosing… To try to undertake that mantle…” She said as the coughing died down. “Tells me that you don’t have that self-control. I’m sorry Rebus, but… I’m really not sorry. You can’t be allowed to have that paper.” Sequence jumped at the sudden appearance. “Goodness! You scared me… Lovely to see you, Cricket! I believe we could use your help… It is a large project after all. Malevolence is currently building the outer structure. You can ask him what he needs.” She gestured to Malevolence. “Bacon and I are going to focus on the more magical protections, I suppose.”
  19. "We will need a way to deter nanobots. So, underground, beneath a metal that is compatible with a certain device I've created to create an energy pulse that should knock them out temporarily." Malevolence hoped 'ill intent' didn't apply to his general desire to do evil and that the protections were not automatic. “Right! Of course…” Sequence waved her hand again, and the three were in a deep, underground chamber, deep beneath the mountains. It was hot, almost unbearably so. The walls were smooth, without a blemish or a crack, and it was dark. Sequence’s Narrationblade lit up enough to illuminate the chamber. “… So.. What metal would that be? Hopefully you can provide it?”
  20. Sequence clasped her hands together and smiled, clearly relieved. ”Okay! Wonderful. All have access to my world whenever they should want it, so long as they don’t have ill intent.” Sequence waved her arms and the three of them were transported to the cabin atop the snowy peaks on Sequence’s World. ”I think it’s important that we all collaborate on this… Let’s start with location. Deep underground, perhaps? Under the ocean? We have options, and I can manipulate the terrain too, if needed.”
  21. Sequence breathed a soft sigh of relief, then looked to Bacon. @xinoehp512
  22. Sequence listened quietly. ”… It isn’t worth it.” She said, voice soft. ”There’s… Other ways. And even if there isn’t…” Sequence shook her head, looking down at the floor. “Take it from me, of all people, you don’t want anything to do with the Witherlord.”
  23. Sequence’s frown deepened, and she dismissed Conflict. ”I know the weapon. But I know not of it’s… ramifications. You’re smart, so be honest. Is it corrupting you? Are you having thoughts not your own?” Sequence’s expression and tone are sympathetic. ”Surely you must, because nobody in their right mind would ever seek to summon the- …” It seems to physically pain her to name him. ”.. Witherlord…”
  24. She stops rocking her chair, leaning forward just a bit and and summoning her Narrationblade. It takes the form of a wooden cane, which she leans on heavily as she stands. ”… I will admit, that I know very little of the Plotblades…” She held out her hand, and summoned a brilliantly gleaming white sword, humming with a soft, pure energy. The Plotblade of Conflict. ”Other than my own, of course.”
  25. Sequence paused and thought for a moment, then dismissed Conflict with a puff of smoke. ”… I have an alternative proposal. Malevolence, you could build a… vault, or a prison, or whatever you so wish on my world, and you can contain the paper there. You and Bacon will both be able to visit it whenever you so wish to ensure it’s still there, and can put whatever protections you so wish on it. I’ll help, of course, and the paper can remain under our shared protection… Is this acceptable?”
