  1. Sequence jumped, nearly losing her balance and leaning on her cane heavily. "Goodness me! You gave me quite a fright!" She brushed off her dress and stood up straight, offering her hand to the stranger in greeting. "Welcome! I don't believe I know you yet! I'm Sequence." Y'know, it's grown on me . I vote decasel. That'll be 10 pages, right? Now for 100 and 1,000... We could just do centisel and millisel, though for some reason those ones don't roll off the tongue as well, at least for me... Hrmb. Centage... Cent + page..? Centurage. Idunno
  2. Oooh, I do like that... We are a Brandon Sanderson fansite, after all . Personally, I think it would be nice for it to be a bit more recognizable though... What do you mean by Roshar's number being 10? I like those too! I wonder if we could shorten or change them around a little bit though, making them have a little bit less syllables and maybe ending in e, y, and m respectively could help them stay sorta familiar and flowy like the ones we have for years, maybe? Not saying we have to do that, just brainstorming... Hmmmmmmmmmm........ Deselide, declide, decida, mgrmhmmhmmrmg....
  3. "Oh, drat. I don't think I've met Bat before... Oh well. Maybe next 1,000th page!" omg Do you know how there's specific words for large periods of time, like a decade for 10 years, a century for 100, millennium/eon for 1,000, and so on... We should collectively come up with similar words, but for referring to pages. A certain word for 10 pages, another for 100, another for 1,000! ... Unless those already exist and I'm somehow unaware . Do we keep the Latin/Greek "dec", "cent", and "mil" parts, and just add something else to make it related to a page, or do we come up with something new altogether, or is this a useless idea... I don't know!!
  4. "Thank you, thank you. So anyways, how's everyone doing?" She asked. "How's the party going?" The shard was doing that glitch where when I'd click on my notifications to bring me to the post that quoted me it would just take me to the top of the page and I'd have to dig around to find the actual post .
  5. "Oh, wonderful!" Sequence clasped her hands together with a smile, looking around her surroundings. "I'm deeply sorry for missing the start of the party, I know that I promised to help prepare and host..." Sequence rubbed her temples gently. "I've just been so busy out of it recently... But! I am here now, and I'd be happy to help where I can!" She said brightly. "By the way, lovely to see you again, Bacon," she added with a smile.
  6. Sooo...

Do we have any Andor fans here? I remember our old pal Thaidakar quite liked it. If only he was here!
I rewatched the series before the new season came out, and I was reminded just how fantastic it is. I didn't properly appreciate it the first time, but it's easily my favorite Star Wars of all time. And the new season is just.. chefs kiss. I just love how gritty and complicated and "grown up", so to say, this series is. It's such a grounded view of revolution and unrest, and set in the Star Wars galaxy, which I just love!

    Anybody else have thoughts? :P

      @AltonicKeys

Yes! The first season was so striking to me because it was so gritty and, yeah, more raw. Everything about it I loved, even the relatively small things, like culture and scenery on Ferrix, Aldhani, and Niamos, the whole prison thing on Narkina 5, seeing the P.O.R.D. initiative thingy mess with court justice, blah blah blah, I just loved it. I only really noticed the music when I rewatched it, and YES, IT'S SO GOOD!!!

About the new season, 6 episodes are out now and you need to watch :P. I personally think it's fantastic. The little details I enjoy are all wonderful, though the overall vibe is a little bit different. If you look at Andor Season 1, that's the gritty, dark, dirty underground beginning of Cassian, and then Rogue One is the flashy, violent, explosive, action packed end, y'know? Season 2, so far, is like a bit more in the middle, if that makes sense. Still definitely leaning towards the more grounded vibe of Season 1.

I don't know, I'm kinda rambling :P. If you're big into Star Wars worldbuilding and such, you should watch Generation Tech on YouTube. Definitely not because he happens to agree with all of my opinions on Andor.

I support either option, Disney certainly doesn't need more money

  7. Sequence awoke. Perhaps she had narcolepsy, falling asleep randomly for dozens of pages at a time was quite out of the ordinary. "Gah!!" She exclaimed. "I missed it! Storms, the party isn't over, is it?"
  8. Sequence nodded, producing a pen and paper from her bag. "Agreed!" She began to write. Greetings, beloved inhabitants of The Longest Thread! On behalf of this millennium's host, Symbol, I would like to formally invite you to a celebration for our Thread's 4,000th page! Can you believe it? 4,000 pages already! It feels just yesterday we were celebrating 3,000! There will be festivities, refreshments, and everything of the sort located at Symbol's castle! With love and appreciation, Narrator and co-host, Sequence P.S. Folding the invitation twice will teleport you to the venue seamlessly! (But the feature will be inactive until the party begins) She read over the letter quickly and nodded in approval, showing it to Symbol before she sent it out. "Thoughts?" ye sorry ive been so busy! i'll try to be here for the party as much as i can
  9. "Absolutely! We'll want them to be the sort to magically transport invitees to the venue, right? I'll want to know where the venue is to calibrate that." Sequence produced a notebook from the leather bag she keeps at her side, and began writing in it quickly. "Who do you want to invite? Everybody on the thread would be customary of course, but..." Sequence's expression fell a bit. "... I'd certainly understand if there were an individual or two you wished to exclude."
  10. "Alright then!" Sequence clasped her hands together. "Where do we start?"
  11. "Oooh.. I do love a good ruined castle! Grand ballrooms and banquet halls, ripe and ready for restoration... I've gotten into making my own wallpaper recently, it's quite enjoyable! ... Not sure how applicable that is to a castle, but the point is, I'd love to help!" Sequence smiled, producing a whistling tea kettle from the tea basket at her feet and a pair of cups. She poured the tea, and offered a cup to Symbol.
  12. Sequence summoned a few chairs and a coffee table, taking a seat and gesturing for Symbol to do the same. "Entoturis? I can't say I've ever heard of such a place... Tell me a bit about it, and perhaps I could visit and help with this 'fix up' business."
  13. "So! Page 4,000!" Sequence clasped her hands together, having also vanished for a period of time . "It's coming up quick, goodness me! Perhaps we should get to planning the party quickly... That is, assuming you still wish to host and still would like my help." Sure am glad I didn't miss it! Things got busy!
  14. Sequence blinked. "I'm afraid... I don't really understand. But, it's good to see you regardless!" Hiatus of sorts? Everyone deserves a break when they need one! We'll see you when you return!
  15. "Ah, Ruia! I knew I recognized you! .. Wait, what do you mean you were 'once Ruia'?" Sequence tilted her head, a bit confused.
  16. Sequence looked Symbol up and down for a moment, her brow furrowing slightly. She quickly shook the look off her face and smiled again. "Oh gosh, it's that time already?" Sequence looked up at the sky, tested the wind, tasted the air like a snake, and nodded. "Yeah, wow. Nearly page 4000 already... I'd certainly be up to the task! Though if you were wanting to, I certainly wouldn't mind giving up my crown! ... If you allowed me to do just a little bit of helping, that is." Sequence chuckled. "..Say," she continued. "You look... rather familiar. What's your name, friend?"
  17. Miraculously able to divide her attention and be in many places at once, Sequence appeared and gave a large, extravagant bow. "I am summoned! How can I help, stranger?" She greeted the new face with a bright smile.
  18. Sequence stared at Malevolence for a moment. She opened her mouth to speak, but stopped, then opened it again, then stopped. It took a moment, but finally she spoke. "...Why?"
  19. "I'd love to know as much as you tell me, though I'd certainly understand if there are things you'd wish to keep to yourself." She smiled again, more naturally this time, and patted Unintelligible on the shoulder. She offered him a cup of tea, as well. Most of her blends were quite calming.
  20. Uh... Probably a bad idea! Looking around at the statues, it's clear most of them seem to be touching one another. It's very contagious... Oh dear- I wouldn't do that if I were you- The Cryptic quickly sprays you with a little spray bottle. Go wash your hands quickly and you might survive! Tis something I made when I was having a humongous Stormlight obsession . The Curator herself seemed to agree. Though if you wish to visit any of the exhibits, still feel free! I upkeep them myself.
  21. to ascend. Luckily for us,
  22. I started reading Wind and Truth finally :D. Took me long enough, I know... But, I've already decided that when I'm done, I want to reread all of Stormlight. I miss reading about the warcamps and the bridgemen and Kharbranth and all the fun things in Way of Kings, and to be honest, I don't remember as much as I'd like about the other three books!! Gah!!

I know, right? Those were much simpler times :P. While I love all this new stuff and seeing these characters I love grow and do more things and blah blah blah, I miss Bridge Four banter around the fire and Horneater stew... Fabulous and wonderful that I have my own copies of the whole series to reread :D.
