The Longest Thread (Misadventures)
ThroughTheLivingSequence replied to ElephantEarwax's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Sequence pulled up a stool beside his chair and whipped out a pair of spectacles, holding Unintelligible’s arm and examining the scratches closely. “No, no worse,” she said, taking a small bag from Aelinor and digging around inside. “But no better, either. The storming thing hasn’t healed a bit and it’s been over a thousand pages!” She rubbed her temples wearily. “I’ve gotten used to it though! I… I really appreciate you caring.” She glanced over at the bunny in the cage, then looked at Unintelligible. She quickly looked away. “I’ll try whatever cure you’ve found, but if it doesn’t work… Please don’t worry about trying to find another. I couldn’t stand to see you get hurt.” She blinked a few times, then hurriedly turned her focus back to cleaning the scratches. She got a few cotton balls out of the bag and poured a couple drops of some shimmery-golden liquid onto them, gently dabbing at the scratches along Unintelligible’s arm.- 111800 replies

The Longest Thread (Misadventures)
ThroughTheLivingSequence replied to ElephantEarwax's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Sequence looked rather annoyed. "... I'll have you know, I want to spur activity if I can for my love of the Thread, not..." She waved her hand at Rebus. "Whatever it is you're on about. Can you just enjoy the party?" She asked wearily. Sequence leaned forward and examined the rabbit. "Oh, how adorable..." She poked one finger towards the cage, careful not to get too close. She looked back up at Unintelligible. She just looked at him for a moment, then frowned. "... At least let me clean them." She said, pushing him towards a chair. "Infections can come from even the smallest scratches! Especially from wild animals!"- 111800 replies

Sequence frowned slightly as Rebus spoke. “… Rebus..” She said softly, frown deepening. “It’s a party. It’s meant to be enjoyed… I promise you I have no ulterior motives…” Sequence jumped, startled. “Oh! Unintelligible! Where have you-“ She paused, looking at the cage. “… What is that?” She leaned closer, but paused when she noticed all the scratches. “Elephants! Unintelligible, you’re injured!” She looked terrified, and immediately waved for Aelinor. “We have a first aid kit somewhere, don’t we?”- 111800 replies

Sequence smiled again, reaching and pulling the blankets up to tuck Atlas in a bit better. “I’m glad. Good think I have plenty of them!” She chuckled and stood up, turning off the light. Calm moonlight still filtered through the window. ”Goodnight Atlas. Sweet dreams.” She veerrrry carefully stepped out and closed the door, trying not to make too much noise.- 111800 replies

Sequence couldn’t help but smile, more and more noticeably, so she covered her mouth with one hand and leaned on it in an attempt to appear thoughtful. “… Well you’re awfully perceptive.” She tilted her head slightly. “… Perhaps more so than I.” Sequence sighed, and stood up, brushing off her dress. “Well, my invitations have eyes of course, and it seems he’s in trouble. I ought to go help him out, right?” Sequence still couldn’t manage to wipe the smile off her face, and her cheeks were faintly pink. Sequence mom powers: activate Sequence chuckled, watching Atlas fondly. “Yeah, I’m glad too. I hear they’re getting along nicely these days.” She added with a smile.- 111800 replies

My heart!! Sequence thought for a moment. “Hmm… I believe I do, yes!” Sequence settled back into her chair. “Aaaalright, lay down, tuck in, get ready for sleep, and I’ll tell it…” She leaned forward and cleared her throat.- 111800 replies

Sequence smiled and a glass of pear juice appeared on the nightstand. Her smile faltered slightly, and she nodded. “… Yes, thats… About right. It’s usually a happy story, I think. It’s up to you.”- 111800 replies

Sequence laughed, moving the armchair near Atlas’s bed. “.. Alright. I like that idea. Adventurers need rest, of course. Can I get you anything..? Maybe tea, or water…” Sequence thought for a moment. “Oh! I could tell you a bedtime story!”- 111800 replies

Sequence thought for a moment, frowning. “Hm. I hope he’s alright… Well, what kind of quest would you like to go on?” She asked, somewhat reluctantly. Sequence stared at Moni blankly for a moment. A long moment. Then her cheeks flushed slightly, and she looked away and straightened her back. “… Oh.” The very faintest ghost of a smile tugged at her lips for a moment, but she quickly wiped it off and turned to Moni with eyes narrowed. “And how would you know that for certain?” — A stamp materialized on the invitation, the one meant for teleportation to Sequence’s world. Sequence stood up as well. “Are you off, then? To leave you just tear up your invitation… But you’re certainly welcome to stay as long as you’d like, and come back any time!”- 111800 replies

“Oh my… Is that where he’s been all this time?” Sequence asked, eyes widening as she put one hand to her chest. “I assumed he’d given up on that when he didn’t return! Goodness, I should find him and tell him not to worry about it any longer…” Sequence shook her head… Then gave Moni a sideways glance. “… Not sure what that is supposed to mean…” An extra line was scribbled onto the invitation Sequence had sent out. P.S. If your name is Ookla the Unintelligible, please don’t worry about finding me a cure, I’m doing alright! And also, I’d love to see you!- 111800 replies

Sequence laughed, shaking her head. “Oookay, slow down, little adventurer… Quests can be dangerous, especially ones where you earn your Narrationblade.” She chuckled. “Maybe I’ll tell you the story of how I got mine one day.” “Of course!” Sequence said with a smile. “Be sure to let me know what you think!” Sequence smiled and shrugged. “I’ve been through worse. I’m sure I’ll get better sooner or later.” She tilted her head. “What do you mean? Is he where? I haven’t seen him in pages…” She sighed. “I rather miss him, actually.”- 111800 replies

What do you mean? Like the people who watched the original trilogy first, then watched the prequels afterwards?

VERY hot take about the prequels... Oh dear, you MUST watch Andor... In my opinion, it's the best piece of Star Wars in existence.

The Longest Thread (Misadventures)

Sequence laughed. "You can do things like that too! Narration is a very powerful tool." Sequence held out her left hand, and she summoned a gleaming sword. It was a brilliant white color, curved slightly at the tip with black spiral patterns down the middle. Sequence admired it, as it suddenly morphed into a staff, similarly colored and patterned. And then, it turned black and green vines grew along it as brightly shining lantern sprouted from the end, and finally, it shrunk down to an unassuming steel knife. "You also get a Narrationblade, once you earn it from a quest." Sequence said with a fond smile. "I enjoy collecting swords and such!"- 111800 replies

The Longest Thread (Misadventures)
ThroughTheLivingSequence replied to ElephantEarwax's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Sequence laughed. "Well... Yeah, you kind of are! Narrating isn't that difficult once you get the hang of it. Sometimes you don't even realize you're doing it. It just... Happens." The room suddenly opened up, the boards of wood distorting and blending with the air to make all sorts of vibrant colors and sparkly patterns, as vines and flowers suddenly sprouted and reached up into the sky... And then it all was pulled back in and the cabin sealed itself up all back to normal. Sequence shrugged. Rebus found himself transported to the party cabin on Sequence's world! It was a larger, more open cabin with a massive deck, something of a boardwalk almost that extended out onto the crystal blue lake a bit. It was all lit with warm lantern light, and stars and strange constellations were visible up above in the night sky. There were a few people on the deck, but not many. Sequence appeared, looking Rebus up and down and smiling. "Rebus." She said with a slight nod. "Have you been well?" Sequence waved her hand dismissively. "I'll be alright. Just a... Little injury that refuses to heal." Sequence stretched her right arm above her head and winced. "It makes walking a little uncomfortable, and I've found myself struggling to remember certain things... Nothing too serious."- 111800 replies

I'm playing my first campaign ever and having a lot of fun! There's a lot of goblins involved... Basically the orcs have enslaved the goblins and brought them overseas to attack a nation, so my party has been going around fighting them and also recruiting a lot of goblins to our party since they're not super thrilled about fighting, so they joined us instead. Our party had like eight goblins at one point, and they're all so silly . There's Launch, Lucky, Boblin, and... Gosh, I can't remember the others . But yeah they're funny because they're honestly kind of weak and we just have a random goblin army. They all love rotten cheese, that's like their favorite food.

Sequence sighed, seeming relieved. "Okay... That's good. I don't have any grass in here, thankfully. But if anything starts to bother you, just let me know, okay?" She made her way to the door at the back of the living room, walking down the hallway and opening the first door on the right. The room inside had a bed, a dresser, a vanity, and a comfy chair in the corner, with a simple chandelier on the ceiling and one window with a magnificent view of the mountains around the cabin. Sequence looked at the space thoughtfully. "We can always change anything if you don't like it..." Sequence nodded in understanding, rocking in her chair. "I get that. Things can be busy!" Sequence reached under her rocking chair and grabbed a wicker basket, that seemed to appear from nowhere. She opened it, and took some bags of tea leaves out and placed them on a table between them. "Here! Some tea, I grow it myself. Feel free to take as much as you'd like!"- 111800 replies

The Longest Thread (Misadventures)
ThroughTheLivingSequence replied to ElephantEarwax's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Sequence smiled and looked out over the crystalline mountains. “Let’s go inside, shall we?” She opened the front door, and the first room was just a simple living room. Cozy, comfy looking furniture, a warm hearth with a painting of an apple on the mantle. Just an apple. There was an upright piano against one of the walls, and nearby, a large plush chair with a basket full of yarn and other knitting paraphernalia beside it. There was a small kitchen on the other end, with a stove, an oven, an espresso machine and coffee grinder, and some random utensils and tools scattered across the counter. There was also a small dining table with a couple chairs. It was a cozy, rather unremarkable place. Other than the ridiculous amount of houseplants, anyways. Vines hung from the ceiling in multiple areas, there was a large moss wall with some mushrooms and a variety of small plants growing, and all sorts of potted plants. They were arranged in such a way that the space didn’t feel cramped, but did feel somewhat jungle-y… Another door inside, which was open, led down a hallway. At the end, a stained glass window let in some dim light, and two more doors were on each side of the hallway. ”I can move things around, of course, if it’s a little cramped…” Sequence started, looking around the space with a frown. She hoped it was good enough. She paused, then suddenly looked worried and turned to Atlas. “You don’t have any allergies, do you? I can definitely get rid of any plants you might be allergic to… There’s lots of flowers inside too, lots of pollen…” Gosh, there’s gotta be a word for the type of dress i’m thinking of… Lemme do some googling then i’ll come back and edit I’m imagining something like this but with a sturdier, more “adventure” oriented vest of sorts, and then of course some nice boots… Idk!! I haven’t thought much about it beyond that- 111800 replies

The Longest Thread (Misadventures)
ThroughTheLivingSequence replied to ElephantEarwax's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
I’ve got a pretty good description in here Sequence laughed and slowly got to her feet again, summoning her Narrationblade in the form of a cane, which she leaned on heavily. ”Alright then! Somebody’s excited.” She laughed again, and with a wave of her hand, Sequence and Atlas were on the much smaller balcony of Sequence’s smaller cabin, up high on the mountain tops. It was clearly built to be a home, rather than a place for partying as the cabin down in the valley was. This cabin was overlooking the valley, with the imposing crystalline mountains on every other side of the cabin. ”Well, here we are! What do you think?”- 111800 replies

Sequence laughed, rocking in her chair. She leaned forward, and beckoned Atlas closer before pointing up at one of the taller peaks among the vast crystalline mountains in the far distance. "My cabin is up there. The view is quite lovely! Whenever you're ready to leave, just let me know and we can go set up your room!" As Sequence thought, she began to grow a bit daunted by the task she's undertaken... But, in 2,724 pages on this thread, she's learned some things. And Atlas certainly could use a home, in Sequence's opinion... This thread is dangerous.- 111800 replies

Sequence smiled and nodded. "Of course! We'll find room somewhere." Sequence hummed to herself, sitting back down in her rocking chair and thinking. How does one take care of a mortal being? Hm. She'll figure it out. It can't be that difficult, can it? Sequence nodded, sitting down across from her. "Relatively new, yes. He's supposed to be some big evil villain, I believe... But I find him to be quite agreeable... Usually?" Sequence shook her head. "Twelve hundred pages? Goodness, it has been a while..." Sequence rubbed her forehead wearily.
