  1. "Greetings!" Sequence said brightly as Erdikan found themself on the large wooden porch of a large wooden cabin, which sits on the edge of a glistening lake. The porch was lit by soft lantern light, as the sun has finally set on the horizon. A slight red glow still remains, but the stars have finally come out. "I don't believe I recognize you... I'm Sequence!" She extended her hand in greeting. "And you?" Sequence smiled, a bit solemnly. "How right you are... Well, I hope you know that you're always welcome here, any time, any reason." Sequence stared at Atlas, eyes wide. "... I.. I see. Ben, you say? Is he still around? Does he look after you?" Sequence seemed to grow worried. Poor child... Sequence nodded. "I vaguely remember... A fight, I think? Withergeists? Or... Or maybe that was something else. What do you remember?" Sequence's smile faded, and she got a sort of distant look in her eyes. "... Some that don't exist anymore, some that do." Sequence grimaced and rubbed her temples gently, as if trying to ward off a headache. "I have such a hard time remembering... Terrible places." She shook her head and sighed, smiling again. "I much prefer real stars, don't you?" Sequence nodded. "I would like to help... If I can. I... I don't know much about Mindscapes, I'm afraid... The last time I entered my own was against my will." She looked down at her hands, brow furrowed. "But," she said, looking up. "I'd certainly be willing to try."
  2. Sequence nodded solemnly. “I fear you’re right… Though, I’d certainly be willing to try, if the opportunity presents itself.” “I do, yes!” Sequence sat down in a wooden rocking chair on the other side of the coffee table, gesturing towards the sofa. Another kettle that sat on the coffee table rattled a little bit, and then began to pour some lightly steaming hot chocolate into a cup. — Sequence nodded along as Atlas spoke, smiling warmly. “Wow.. Nine and three whole quarters?? That’s almost ten!” She exclaimed with a laugh. “How exciting.” She added, smiling. Her smile quickly faded and she frowned slightly, looking around the small party. “Do you… Have a parent with you? Nine and three quarters is very old, of course, but… A bit young to be all on your own.” — Sequence nodded, then paused and cocked her head. “Two? Hm.. Ah yes, the four-thousandth… I don’t believe I hosted, but I did help!” She paused again and scratched her head. “I don’t have many memories of that party… I’m afraid I was rather absent.” Sorry about the format, it’s a lot harder to reply to individual slices of messages on my phone . “Freedom! That’s a lovely name.” Sequence said brightly. “Why, of course!” She pointed to the quickly setting sun in the distance, only a sliver of it visible over the horizon. It was quite large. “Our very own sun, a lovely red giant that I’ve named Ima.” Sequence turned her head to the sky, squinting. “Hmm… It’s still a bit bright out, but you can just barely see a few stars above. Oh! There’s Fuzzy’s constellation!” Sequence pointed straight up at the sky above, pointing at a vague scattering of dim stars just barely visible in the haze of the setting sun. “Don’t worry,” Sequence said with a laugh. “I’ve checked all the stars nearby, and they’re real.” She leaned closer. “I’ve been to a couple places before where the stars were spying eyes.” She whispered softly with a shiver. “Gives me the heebie jeebies just thinking about it!”
  3. Sequence squinted again. "... Ohhhhh! I remember now, yes!" Sequence laughed and facepalmed. "Well, can I get you something to drink? Come, take a seat!" "Aaaatttlllluusss.." Sequence repeated with a thoughtful nod. "Wonderful!" She stood up and gestured around. "I built this cabin myself, with just my hands and a little help from friends. I like to throw parties here! Say, how many pages old are you? The last party I threw was on the three-thousandth... Quite a while ago, now that I think about it." Sequence waved her hand, and a steaming kettle floated into the air and poured its contents into a cup at the coffee table in front of the sofa. A small baking sheet, which had some dough sitting on it, began to heat up out of nowhere, and the dough was baked into a loaf of bread within seconds. "Please, help yourself! There's plenty to go around." Sequence nodded, frowning deeper. "I see... Well- ... I think I do hope he returns sooner rather than later. For your sake, and for his. I hope his mind can be changed. I still think of him as a friend."
  4. Sequence seemed to relax slightly. "Ah, I see... What it is that you need him for?"
  5. Sequence frowned. "Oh dear.. Rebus? He hasn't been getting up to anything troublesome, has he?" She asked, looking a bit worried. "The paper should still be in the vault..." She added softly, more to herself.
  6. "Oh, lovely! Being whole is usually better than being... Not whole, I think. I've been rather whole recently, and it's been quite nice!" Sequence chuckled, then waved her hand dismissively at Aelinor. "She's just a little shy." This earned another glare from Aelinor. "Ah, so we have met before?" Sequence squinted at Erryin again. "Were you at the 3,000th page party? You do seem awfully familiar... Agh, I apologize. My memory is going these days." Sequence rubbed her temples gently with a smile. She didn't look particularly old, but something in her eyes seemed ancient and tired. Sequence blinked a few times, a bit surprised. Come to think of it, Sequence had never seen such a young character! She knelt down slightly, being over a foot and a half taller than Atlas, and smiled brightly, offering her hand in greeting. "Hello, At... Atyus?" Sequence squinted at her for a moment, then closed her eyes. "... Atlas. Yes." She opened her eyes and smiled again. "Lovely to meet you! You haven't been here before, have you? Would you like me to show you around?" Sequence clasped her hands together and smiled. "Oh, I'm so glad. Come, have a seat! Can I get you anything? Some tea, perhaps?" She leaned closer. "I grow the leaves myself." She added with a grin.
  7. Erryin, along with all of the other guests, found themselves standing on a large wooden porch of a large wooden cabin, which sat on the edge of a beautiful lake that sparkled in the light of the setting sun. In every direction, titanic crystalline mountains were visible far in the distance. Sequence and Aelinor were sweeping the deck with old straw brooms, and they looked up when Erryin appeared. "Ah, welcome!" Sequence exclaimed, dropping her broom which puffed into smoke as it hit the floor, and made her way over to the guest. "It's good to see you..." Sequence leaned closer and squinted at Erryin. "I... Don't believe I recognize you! Lovely to meet you, I am Sequence." She gives a little bow and offers her hand in greeting. Atlas also found herself on the same porch! Sequence has mastered the ability to split her focus and consciousness like an AI to greet multiple guests at once (), so a copy of her appeared to greet Atlas. "Hello!" She said brightly. "I certainly have not met you before!" She gave a little curtsy/bow. "I am Sequence, and you are?" Sequence made yet another copy! "Hello again, Asher! Good to see you." Sequence said brightly. "How have you been doing?" "Ah, lovely to see you, Cep!" Sequence said. "So glad you could make it! How have your travels been?" "Oh, lovely! Another new face!" Sequence bowed to the newcomer. "Hello! I am Sequence! Who might you be, new friend?" Through all the greetings, Aelinor stood and glared at just about everyone, hand on the pommel of her sword in its sheath at her side.
  8. No activity since Saturday?? Oh dear, this will not do... Sequence decided it was time to throw another party! Not as a page milestone, but... Maybe just for fun? That's allowed, right? Surely... Ah, well, Sequence is a Narrator, she can do what she wants! While Sequence and Aelinor swept the floors of the lakeside cabin with the extra large porch for parties, Sequence began to formulate an invitation in her head. Dearest dwellers of the Longest Thread, it's me again! I would like to invite you all to a gathering, a party of sorts! Just for fun, you know? There are many new faces on the Thread whom I have not met yet! I'll brew lots of tea, and provide other such refreshments, and we can all get a chance to relax and catch up! I'll be hosting on my world, of course, which anybody can access by simply looking up to the stars, and declaring, 'Great Elephant and Thread, take me to safety, take me to solace. I promise no violence and I promise civility, grant me entrance to Sequence's world.' I hope to see you soon! With wishes of love and good fortune, Sequence
  9. Happy spooky month, everyone! :D

  10. *You get the Way of Kings! Not the Stormlight Archive book... the one written by Nohadon! *Inserts the Nightwatcher herself!
  11. The figure shrugged. "Pets are less complicated, I suppose. And also cute."
  12. "Rather bleak, once again," the second figure mused. The first figure nodded. "Have you ever considered adopting a pet?" The first figure asked. "Like a dog," "Or a cat," said the second figure. "Or maybe a fish," said the first. "Or perhaps a horse?"
  13. Granted! The date and time at which you will die in the future has been pushed back seven minutes and four seconds . I wish for the ability to completely understand how the physics of the universe work!
  14. I have indeed! Even after however many years it's been, I still think it's funny and I watch it every so often . The person below me considers themself an artist!
  15. Sequence shrugged. "I suppose it's been awhile... Bacon! Hello? You around?" @xinoehp512
  16. “Then perhaps you shouldn’t lose all hope in the meaning of stories just yet…” It smiled again. “Perhaps.” ”I personally find that the disconnect between an Author and its creation gives it meaning,” a second ambiguous figure said. “In a way, the creation thinks for itself, and develops its own opinions and experiences and values, even if it can’t quite do it alone… I think that gives it value.” The first figure nodded along as the second spoke. ”Or maybe we’re all just fools,” they said in unison with a simultaneous shrug. Oops, just noticed your mention in your post about that test . Sorry to give you a reply to keep you up, go get some sleep!
  17. “Bacon is still holding onto it until the vault is ready!” Sequence pointed happily to the partially constructed metal vault that sat in the center of the large, cavernous stone chamber. The ambiguous figure cocked its head. “Well, then perhaps you could think about it like…” They seemed to smile. “Something more personal to you. Pursuing a story, in an attempt to find one worthwhile, maybe.”
  18. "Fiction can still be important, can't it? Haven't you ever felt saddened by the death of a favorite character in a book? If an event such as that elicits emotion, that gives it weight, doesn't it?"
  19. "That's an awfully bleak way of putting it." An ambiguous individual commented.
  20. Sequence nodded, only partially understanding... "Alright then!" Sequence broadcasted a mental message out to Cricket, wherever they might be. 'Hello Cricket! Bacon the Bard, Malevolance, and I are building a vault to protect a certain slip of paper, which you know, I believe! Would you mind using your Enuller powers to help defend the vault? I'm not exactly certain how they work, so that part would be up to you... Thank you in advance! -Sequence.' @TwinStorm
