  1. Welcome to the shard. That is a great question. Brandon has been kind of vague on the answer. However in general we can say it is based on perception.
  2. I did a long line by line analysis of this letter for someone else during an argument. I came to some different conclusions but I still find your own interesting.
  3. I came up with this during my Radiant oaths analysis for Skybreakers(it is one of my pattern of radiant oaths theories that can be found below) and I think it is applicable. In many ways we owe our current prosperity to a system of laws and law enforcement agencies that enforce rules of behavior for individuals, corporations, and even government branches. I may have as much irritation at ticket officers as anyone else but they do decrease the probability that I will be killed in a driving accident.
  4. Agreed. Wow that is amazing! . Now I have to line them up. OK. So far I have. Limbo = Ruin Arcadia = Honor Mechanus = Preservation
  5. Welcome!
  6. And an edgedancer would listen and remember but I seriously doubt any sane combination of radiant and spren would agree. That is not in the oaths. That kind of siege mentality is more in keeping with the Dustbingers. I think an "evil" Edgedancer would be more in line with Kelseir.
  7. ? I agreed with everything up to this. Nazis believe that the "inferior" should be left behind or slaughtered outright. This is completely counter to the ideals of the Edgedancer.
  8. Yes I use both.
  9. Book five Brandavilanch. All kinds of wild surge use. Can't wait!
  10. OK this is complicated(hemalurgy tends that way). Firstly you would be using a godmetal(probably Honor's but maybe Cultivation's or an alloy of both). Secondly the spren would almost certainly not hold the charge particularly well(they don't like to stay in the PR and investature tends to bleed off quickly in the cognetive) and I am not sure how well it could obtain the investiture anyway given that spren have their own identity. However assuming you did manage to spike out the extra bit of investiture out of an allomancer of feruchemist you could probably access the power yourself afterwards due to the effect of your spirits merging.
  11. For just killing people easily and quickly your best option is probably skybreaker. You can use lashings with minimal training, they allow high degrees of mobility, division gives you excellent offensive options as do the lashings themselves. If you use division carelessly you are likely to bury yourself under a pile of rock and against experienced opponents abrasion is often a hazard(as we see with Lift vs Nale in edgedancer)
  12. Depends on the people involved. Getting young Dalinar to kill his brother would be pretty easy. Really the results are going to be circumstantial.
  13. But all they can do is blast you. A lightweaver can get you to kill your best friends.

    Cosmere

Welcome! I believe there is a WoB about people leaving the cluster that is the cosmere through shadesmar but I don't know how that will work.
  15. In point of fact the most deadly radiant is clearly... Every sharder says something different and a many pages long argument ensues Lightweaver! Exhibit A Mysterio vs Spiderman!
  16. It is during the Brandavilanch a lot was going on. She is not. There is a WoB about why spren don't bond singers. I can't find it though.
  17. Yep. We have a thread were we discuss this somewhere. I will edit my post if/when I find it. I personally think Prudence is a good one. EDIT
  18. According to the book. Sazed I don't think Vin kept it around. She did not use spears much. Also welcome to the shard!
  19. I think it will be Kaladin. Dalinar Oath five seems like it will have some kind of cosmic implications and Kaladin was the first so narratively it makes sense to make him the last.
  20. I would personally say no, it does not. Once you get synthetic gemstones though I would be inclined to say yes.
  21. This WoB implies that it was over the course of a single lifetime although I suppose Brandon could just mean that they were the last bunch to come through.
  22. She could demonstrate said powers though.
  23. Yes it is. Nalen has sworn to uphold the laws of the lands he resides in. Other Skybreakers swear to specific laws or legal systems. Some like Szeth swear to specific people. That makes sense. It is recognizable to locals.
  24. Some thoughts. I think anguish is an important part of compassion(like Sadness in inside out). Perhaps their world is some kind of underdark where you survive the mental torments by your capacity to feel the sorrow of others Maybe their magic can only be accessed by personal sacrifice?
