It does. Sure it does. It means that her pushes accelerate a piece of metal faster then normal.

Welcome!

f = ma Vin has a higher a then normal despite being smaller. How is mental clarity even related?

what powers will the nightwatcher give?

I can't explain this very well but Dalinar seems to have a put everything back in order type deal. I wonder if the NW will grant some kind of mix and match. IE given all the parts of a ship that are usually combined a certain way could create an entirely new type of ship with different rigging and hull design. -
Basically. It also explains why she had no trouble running even though her legs were moving way faster then the fastest human athlete.

It was more you oonly really have to read 1/3 of this.

I am not really going for a full corruption just yet and I already gave him book one which he is currently reading and around 700 pages into. I am just worried about him loose focus. I only got him to read it in the first place by telling him that WoKs was really three books.

Welcome to the shard! Great work. I always assumed in the back of my mind was that what we were really getting was localized time manipulation. That would explain this not happening to bleeder as well as the increased reaction time of the people involved.

I think he read MB a while ago. I considered it but I don't think that is his thing and I am worried it will turn him off to other works.

Welcome and 89.

I have recently given my eldest brother my copy of WoKs. He began reading it. He reads fairly quickly and so he is already mostly through the book. So far the only things he has told me are that there are too many characters, it would have been better to publish the one book as several volumes, and that nothing was happening. Still he is reading and like me he is found of understatement. I will continue to give his impressions but I am worried. I hope the rest of you help me get him initiated into our cult as quickly as possible.

They are under the thumb of some really troubling leadership yes and their belief in proper authority makes them easier to lead astray then most Edgedancers but that does not mean that revering authority and trying to do your best within a system is necessarily a bad thing.

You might be able to boil water but then your going to have to worry about cooling it somehow and that is an entire problem by itself. A warm body by itself is not enough otherwise you you put a rock outside on a warm day and extract significant electricity from it. Those use a consistent difference in heat to generate an electric current. Mars also has a difference in heat because it is cold outside. If you want to use f brass you could make one compounder and one storer and use the difference between them to generate electrisity but I can't speak to the efficiency of such a move.

Not what they were doing. The plants still grew on rock. They spread the seed on the rock with a kind of paste made of a mixture of seeds and sap.

You can soulcast things into water or water into things. You can use adhesion to pull or push on water. You can use abrasion to walk through water like it is air. You might be able to use tension or cohesion to walk across water or at least get it to hold shape temporarily. You can use division to preform electrolysis and boil water with illumination. You can also create large clumps of algae in water using progression...

Man, when I discovered this website...

To your first point I have an entire topic on this. In summary I would say no. Some kind of pump that can be produced cheaply and easily used (so probably not a fabrial) would get you started but it would take time before you got anything like industrialization. The other option is to get really really good at agriculture so you can raise a massive surplus of gemstones and make fabrails cheaply and easily in which case you bypass the need for an engine entirely. Given unlimited gemstones to work with I would probably just use conjoined fabrials that automatically turn off and on at regular intervals. Heating water is actually a really inefficient way of turning heat into mechanical energy.

@Lightspine please post your theory here.

True we went over this in length in the discussion thread I linked if you are interested.
-
Yes. It would actually not be that hard. You could go way worse with better knowhow.
-
So this was my conclusion. I suppose you can disagree but I don't think evidence supports that.
-
I am afraid not. That was actually largely what the debate was about when I analyzed the letter.

So the thread is here. We still only really know about Amaram(of their numbers) and while fairly high ranking he is not a member of their leadership. I see him more as an attack dog. He is useful but I don't really see any competent organization entrusting him with command. Interestingly Heleran was probably the same but in reverse. He was not really trusted with any important Skybreaker intel just used to attack others. Most of both membership seems to be in hiding. Killing each other off does not seem particularly productive. In fact the GBs probably don't have anything against SoH being around provided they don't know anything important. They will increase uncertainty and be dependent for information of those who have it(the GB probably).
