    Polehammer is, for sure, the way to go. Preferably with a spike on the tip and a hook on the back. You would also want an aluminum haft and a thin layer of aluminum on the (probably) steel head. The hammer side is for breaking plate. The hook is for teams to pin the shardbearer while someone else breaks the plate. The spike is for gettin your stab on. Aluminum haft so you can block and aluminum coat on the head to keep it from getting sheared. Edit: on second thought you'd probably want an aluminum core on the head and a steel coating, otherwise the sharp bits are gonna lose their edge really fast.

    It might also have to do with the changes that Sazed made to the metallic arts after he ascended. Allomancers don't need to be snapped in Era 2 for example.

    Aren't the Dawnshards just another name for Shards of Adonalsium? I always assumed they meant that they had destroyed their planet using Odium's power.

    If by fixing him you mean remove his spikes, I think that would kill him unless Saze made him into a Fullborn at the same time. He's been using the atium age hack to stay alive all this time. I think Saze was the one that busted Marsh's face, though I guess it kind of still works in the same theme. "my pal, the Hero of Ages did this, be jealous".

    Ok, sorry for the ninja edit, but what I originally typed here was literally going to pour gasoline on this thread. Triangle is a reference to a situation in the books rather than characters.

    I hadn't heard this before. I wonder if Bavadin might be a Dysian. That could explain why it was referring to its self in 3rd person in The Letter.

    I'm rereading Era 1 currently. I was reading a Sazed chapter and something occurred to me, how can a full Feruchemist not heal being castrated? Spoilered for Stormlight stuff I also think that Sazed's thoughts about himself in regards to his castration, especially in scenes where he is considering his relationship with Tindwyl, are distinctly non accepting. He feels that it is a flaw in him and I can't see it being integrated with his Spiritual self. Has anyone ever asked Brandon about this? I couldn't find any WoBs, though I admittedly didn't look very hard. THIS THREAD HAS STORMLIGHT SPOILERS, SORRY FOR NOT PUTTING IT IN THE COSMERE SECTION.

    The 17th Shard and the Ghostbloods probably know about Hemalurgy. I'd like to see a Dysian Aimian (Mraize, assuming that I'm correct and he is a Dysian) with little tiny Hemalurgic spikes in all of their hordlings.

    This is actually one of the only reasons I would ever want a sex scene written into one of Brandon's books. His books are very PG when it comes to sex, so actually seeing an intimate scene is unlikely. The lack of sex in his books is actually a major plus for me, because I often find sex scenes in fantasy to be completely irrelevant to the plot. That being said it would be interesting to see how some of the different magics work into the characters sex lives. Mistborn spoilers since this is Stormlight.

    I actually agree with this. That being said, I'm a sucker for those huge moments that make a book. As far as those its a tie between: "I am Unity" and Harmony smiled. "Trust."

    I forgot this was the Elantris board, sorry for the Mistborn stuff in my previous post. I considered this is well. I'd say that my idea is plausible, but definitely not a sure thing.

    I'd be very surprised if any of the Fused didn't recognize the Heralds after torturing them for thousands of years.

    If you were to store Connection, your Spirit would try to reach out and Connect to your current geographic location (Scadrian medallions work this way). This could give you knowledge of the local symbol system and potentially allow you to access your Dor based abilities using the local "language". This would obviously only apply on Sel given the aforementioned constraints.
