In BOM they theorize that someone storing their identity could theoretically tap any metalmind, though it requires the ability to tap that metal. Essentially, if you have no identity, the system doesn’t recognize you as an invader. I don’t know if this would actually work though.

Leras had his plan BEFORE trapping Ruin. And any outside Shardic interference would have occurred much later. Looking into the Spiritual realm isn’t that simple, even for a Shard. Preservation was focused on saving Scadrial and defeating Ruin. Once Ruin was free, I think any other Shard would have left. If a Shard was there to begin with; its possible ‘Trell’ sent human agents first, to seed things. But I do think that the manipulation was going on earlier, although direct interference may have occurred later.

Endowment's power over other shards
Kingsdaughter613 replied to Ixthos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I actually think Endowment more closely correlates with Shechina, God’s Glory. Which would probably put her in a block with D&D whom, together, I think would be Malchius - Kingship. I think Endowment’s true mirror is Autonomy. Autonomy is God as the one, singular, with no equal. Endowment would be God among his people. Also, Shechina is a feminine word and Edgli is female. And Glory is associated with light, which fits Nalthis very well. Ambition is simply a desire to accomplish. There is nothing that demands this be at the expense of others. On the contrary, one could have an ambition to improve things for everyone. Ambition is not inherently negative; that belief likely stems from a time when class boundaries were much stricter. Obviously, an ambition to better one’s lot would not be looked at kindly. It also became an anti-Semitic stereotype (Jews being seen as ambitious), which did not help ambition’s reputation. -
If the zodiac signs were orders of Knights Radiant

The last one is: Capricorn/Gdi/Goat-Innocence/Anger/Judges. Since I have one for Voidbinding, I’m giving this one to the Old Magic. I am a Jewish Capricorn and a Gregorian Sagittarius. This is because Jewish months do not overlap perfectly with the Gregorian months. Jewish Zodiacs also correlate to the Twelve Tribes (minus the Levites). So Aries is Yehudah and Sagittarius is Benjamin. -
She’s married to one the person most likely to inherit at the moment... ouch. My favorite is: ‘They say I will hold the future of the entire world on my arms.’

What is your Wildest Cosmere Theory??
Kingsdaughter613 replied to Lunu’anaki's topic in Cosmere Discussion
There is a Shard of Glory (Shechina). That is possibly Endowment. Dominion and Devotion united is Kingship. (Well, Malchius, but that’s the best English translation I could think of.) Another is Awe (Yirah). And another is Secrecy (Sod.) Another is Peace (Shalom). And another would be Compassion/Kindness (Chesed and Rachamim) Autonomy may be Tzvaos - Hosts, but that isn’t the particular attribute it represents (more likely represented by Dominion). It probably represents Echad, the singularity of God, specifically in that God has no equal and no one can control him. Except, of course, that this is NOT true of the Shard Autonomy. Preservation probably equates to Yesod - Foundation. Or Eternity- Olam/Netzach. Though I actually think that is Ruin; the Eternity of God is noted in that he existed before anything did and he will continue to exist when everything is gone. Although I can’t find a name regarding that particular aspect directly. Just the concept. Probably because we don’t use it if we have one. Cultivation is probably Borei - Creator. Honor is Justice/Judgement (Dayan Emes- the True Judge). Odium is Vengeance/Divine Wrath (Nikamos). Or: I think all the Shards can linked to an attribute of God in Judaism. (Yes, all of the above are names/attributes of God.) Which makes sense, since a lot of those names were ‘borrowed’ by our little sisters. (Christianity and Islam, in case that wasn’t clear.) And Brandon is a Mormon, so he probably has a lot of these unconsciously floating about in his mind. -
What is the Cutest thing in the Cosmere? Why?
Kingsdaughter613 replied to Karger's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Soonie pups. Particularly Soonie pups cuddled by human toddlers under the age of two, with one plush ear stuffed in the child’s mouth. (So I might have a 1.5 year old who toddles around with a Penguin beanie baby, chewing on its wing...) -
Ruin was trapped in the Pit, and so was limited in his awareness. Leras was dying and lacked proper clarity. And this has been the case for millennia. I doubt either was in much of a state to notice if another Shard was doing something subtly.

Obvious question: if you are storing your identity, could you burn or tap a Hemalurgic spike?

Trellagism predates Rashek’s ascension. And:

Marsh was able to ‘see’ a picture by the trace metals in the paint. And could tell that the paint was of different colors. And the direction of the brush strokes. Please note that most pigments, especially medieval ones, did not necessarily contain metal specifically, though several utilized lead in some form. That’s pretty impressive. http://www.webexhibits.org/pigments/intro/medieval.html

Kell is no one’s agent but his own. And Marsh has made clear that he doesn’t always agree with or follow Saze. I think Marsh is better termed an ally than agent. As for Kell, well, it seems he hasn’t spoken with Saze for some time. It’s possible that they are no longer working together.

I disagree. Something about him felt off; he seemed to know things he couldn’t know about. Snowswift did not strike me as knowing things he shouldn’t be able to know. Also, Snowswift was Professor Tolkien.

*Misborn Era 2 Spoilers* Theory: How Harmonium/Ettmetal works
Kingsdaughter613 replied to SirWolfe's topic in Mistborn
This is brilliant! But I ran out of upvotes... have a metaphorical one! -
You realize that the babies are being murdered for spikes, right? I mean, I thought that was obvious once I saw the Set was using Hemalurgy. They aren’t looking to breed a Mistborn; they are looking to breed useful Allomancer and Feruchemists so they can steal their powers. Much easier, and more likely to succeed.

Should be noted that I figured it out when Allik explained that the Sovereign telling them NOT to look for the Bands meant he was challenging them to look for them. Which is EXACTLY the kind of thing Kell would do. (I threw down my kindle and started cheering about Kell being alive.) I suspect he was trying to get North and South to meet. I also think he’s responsible for the rumors of the Bands in the North. I do not think he was trying to hide who he was; he had no issue with showing his scars (a pretty clear giveaway.) Wax and crew just made an assumption, and a confused Allik just went along. (He’d obviously never heard the name Rashek before.) I do think the SoScads called Kell by a different name; his name is very hard to pronounce if you are not used to it. I also think his role with the SoScads was more of a political role than a religious role, as opposed to in the North. I got very strong King Arthur vibes from what little we are told.

The female one was more recent though.

There are several WoB stating that they dislike each other - and it’s mutual. Also that Hoid is a major character in Mistborn 4, but I don’t know if that’s still valid. @danox46 Bavadin is female. Her Avatars aren’t always though.

There is the one that created the potion that made fake Elantrians. -
Natural is ‘something that occurs without direct interference.’ Mistborn were only born after the Lerasium beads were consumed. I think Seers only existed due to Preservation hacking the system and removing Cadmium and Bendalloy. And don’t exist now, because Sazed fixed it. There may be Trellium Mistings. But I think it would be due to direct Shardic interference. And Mistborn, naturally, could burn it.

Good, good, interesting, interesting, awesome!, oooh! Twist! - argh! Cliffhanger! When’s the next one?!

It basically an outgrowth of the idea that Atium provides its own fuel. If can access that investiture directly one way, it seems to me that you should be able to do it another way. I don’t think it would be easy to access the Investiture necessarily. You can burn Atium due to a hack; under normal circumstances no one would be able to burn it. (I don’t think Seers are a natural part of the system and Mistborn are definitely not.) I think you’d need a hack to access the inherent investiture. A Feruchemist is a natural part of its system, unlike Mistborn. So it can’t be a method any Feruchemist could use. But I do feel that there should be a method.

@teknopathetic I believe Preservation did it, likely as part of his master plan.
