GM Signups & Discussion Thread

Hey, would anyone be opposed to me taking the next MR? I'm not 100% sure that I can run it, but I probably will be able to, considering Kas's MR has a maximum of 7 cycles before it ends. And the next QF would probably be just a week or so. I just don't want to hog up the queue or anything if the next person in line on the MR list really wants to run a game. I can always wait till next summer.

Also, gonna tag the first few people on the MR list as well, to see their thoughts

Haven't explicitly said so, but I believe I'm currently #15 on the LG waitlist. That game, I'd like to apply to run as an Anonymous Game for reasons that will become clear once I'm able to post the ruleset for comments and suggestions.

Edit: If it's a more helpful demarcation, it'd be my Bladerunner reskin, doesn't need a non-Sanderson pass, with Tyrian base rules (probably, I took inspiration from Wyrm's LG17 Heronfall game too) and LG8's reworked kandra rules.

I like Tyrian and we've run enough Tyrian games to have a basic idea of how the parameters work. I'm trying to fix the LG8 kandra rules so there's no reason I want to run straight into a hot mess by having a more complex underlying base game

Definitely! Just let us know what format you'd want (LG, MR, or QF). If you don't reskin it to be Sanderson, you'll need a non-Sanderson pass. There are enough of those floating around you should be able to ask someone for one.

The LG’s on D7, which I believe is about standard for figuring out who’s running the next one. This time I’m fairly sure it’s not Striker  According to the sheet:

5. @Experience

Followed by Ventyl, Straw, and Ash.

Edit: Sorry for the ping, Striker, that slot is actually the Zelda game which I’m just now realizing :P. So Sart is 3 and Exp is 4, with @Ventyl at spot 5, followed by Straw, Ash, and TJ.

I'm currently waiting for my final draft of my rules to be approved, but am planning on running my game after that.

I was about to say. I was like “huh, I didn’t think one of my other slots was already at the top so soon.” Would’ve been very funny to just be like “okay, sure, I guess I’ll take a third LG in a row, why not?”

Also, all of your requests should be filled in now. If I am missing something, please ping me with a quote of the original request so I can make sure it gets in the right spot.

I was just struck by inspiration today. I've been considering a rerun of my dreamer game...

Anyway I'm signing up for an MR slot and an AN slot. It'll be a rerun with some new shenanigans.

Apparently, the queue for running a game is quite long. As such, I would like a Quick Fix slot. Maybe by the time my name comes around, I'll have sufficient experience to run a game. I have an idea about 007 reskinned as Coinshots after the apocalypse.

So, with Kas’s game ending today, we should probably figure out who’s running the next MR. I’m technically at the top of the list, but this would be my fourth game this summer if I take it. I’m not opposed to doing it if no one else wants to, but I’d rather see if anyone else wants it.

And also, the game I’d run would not be my anonymous blackout game. I’d probably run my game that’s just the empty MR slot I have later down, and switch my anon game to that spot.

Ah alright  I want to take it but I probably can't because of my schedule the next month. The school year is actually the best time for me to run a game, funnily enough... but yeah, I'll pass. And I have no opposition to you taking a fourth, your games are great

Sounds good to me. And I’m glad you like my games so much.

Also, Mist, Lotus, if either of you really want to run your game, there’s a chance you could do it. Ash has said he’s not sure if he’ll be able to do it, plus Experience hasn’t been around much so I doubt he’ll take it. My current opinion is that I’d rather one of you four (meaning Ash, Experience, Mist and Lotus), since Mat can’t take it, take it than me. If none of you want to/can take it, then I’ll do it.
