  1. Even though we didn't win, I can feel satisfied that I was right about Szeth_Pancakes, though I did not suspect the others. I will now read the docs. See you after that's done.
  2. Apparently, the queue for running a game is quite long. As such, I would like a Quick Fix slot. Maybe by the time my name comes around, I'll have sufficient experience to run a game. I have an idea about 007 reskinned as Coinshots after the apocalypse.
  3. (I was on this page, signed in, and then I was on a page for typos in Starsight. I find this odd.) The issue is not the existence of mild reads. The issue is mild reads for reasons that are useless to the rest of the players. 3 of 4 reads were based off of tone/instinct, which does not allow for scrutiny or connection based off of the read. Typically, a case against a player must have a foundation of previous suspicion, and these mild reads are an excellent way to provide such basis without actually having initial justification. Furthermore, baseless trust is not common in my experience except as a tactic by people to gain reciprocal trust, though it may be different on this site. The remaining read was based off of what I assume to be playstyle, citing that Archer was town when doing so most of the time. If Archer does analysis every game, then by default, Archer would be town most of the time because the scum percentage is only 25%. This is similar to saying that because a given player is town most of the time, then that player would be town in a given game. On this site, how common is it to possess and share reads based on tone, instinct, and other immeasurable means? My opinion of the reads is indubitably tarnished by the meta of where I have played mafia.
  4. Exactly. Mild implication is somewhat suspicious to me. It implies an unwillingness to commit to an opinion while also laying the groundwork for a case against someone on the basis of previous suspicion. Tone reads in particular are noted because it renders you unable to offer reasoning and thus releases you from the responsibility while still being escapable with great ease. They are also rife with bias and incomprehensibility. Your reads seem designed to appear to have opinions while easily abandoning the opinions. This tends to invoke trust for very little cost. Actually, I just realized that my strong stance on this makes my previous absence of a vote hypocritical. As such, Szeth_Pancakes
  5. Understandable but also only functional in a mind game situation. Seems less substantial than other lines of reasoning. I would like your Archer thoughts. Striker was a random vote from earlier. The others were thoughts. Also, it was late and I had somewhat forgotten how to color text. Concerning Szeth_Pancakes's reads: Tone based reads never sit well with me.l, particularly since there was no verification of deviation from the norm. I also note that analysis is not a town-only trait. I would be amenable to a vote here, but this is a different site, so I will ponder retaliation first. A painting hidden beneath a bunk bed.
  6. Anything works. I've typically been called Auri on other platforms. Do what you want. Some thoughts on the people that have existed so far. Steeldancer: Stated confusion. Complimented Archer, which I note as a way to superficially gain trust. However, this site appears to be generally more relaxed than the mafia environments I've played with in the past, so think little of it. Archer: Deep analysis. I find it interesting that the distro is unknown at the start, making speculation more prevalent, but I also note superfluous analysis. Also misread the incredibly complex rules somehow. Matrim's Dice: Concurs with 3 scum, votes. The first vote as a random one is reasonable, but the recent change seems odd. Araris Valerian: A random vote. Nothing of note. Szeth_Pancakes: Seemed invested in voting for inactives, which seems unproductive and somewhat pointless. Easily swayed by Archer, which is mildly concerning. Then again, the random vote stage is always a bit sporadic. Devotary of Spontaneity: Random vote. Nothing of note. Ashbringer: RP. Nothing of note. The Unknown Order: An incorrect summary of opinions. Noted. A banner hung up on the wall of the barracks:
  7. A painting found in a hollow tree, left behind by a soldier on watch. It is labelled "Long Live the King". Forgive me if I failed to read the incredibly complex rules correctly, but where did the rules state that a dud vote was possible? I merely recall a no vote minimum and random ties. All that I wished to state has already been covered by Archer, so I shall simply throw a random vote at someone. As Liranil already has a significant following, I hereby vote for StrikerEZ for not having an RP character. I do not know anyone well enough to wish to reach out, but I would welcome being sought after in DMs.
  8. I would like to participate. My roleplay character will be Auri, an aspiring artist that is remarkably bad at art. Expect awful MS Paint drawings. What is standard etiquette for posting images on this forum site?
