Truth takes the band, putting it around his arm. Then, shuffling out of the way, he discreetly creates an Aon. A trickle of dust rises from the floor, turning silvery in color and forming a thick silvery band around his other arm. Another Aon changes some more dust into small silvery nuggets.

I turn and see what Truth is doing. I tense up and take my hand off Vapor's shoulder. I quickly step over and lean in. "Whatever you are about to do don't. The ancient laws of a contest of champions are most clear. If any of us get involved in any way Fadran forfeits. There is no appeal of any kind. Let him fight and don't risk everything now. There are ancient bonds at work even the most discreet magics will be detected. Baalhan trusts him to do what he must. For our sake's you must do the same."

He takes a deep breath, waiting. Each step shakes the floor, bringing the holed closer and closer, until Jaxevist is nearly on top of him.

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR???

With an unvoluntary grunt, Fadran pushes the earth from the floor, creating a massive wall between him and the holed. The stone strains against his command, but is ultimately unsuccessful in defeating the will of a Highmaster Arcane Mage. Then, Fadran summons a fireball, letting it hover a few inches above his hand, hot and ready to be thrown at Jaxevist.

Jaxevist slows down when he sees the wall, but only for a moment. He responds by pushing hard against the ground, leaping into the air and over the top of the wall.
