I'd like to submit another character to use in Zinc's Era 4 plot, if that's okay.

Name: Sarah Bridgewater

Physical Characteristics: She's fairly tall, at 5'8", and pretty fit.

Investiture: She's a Cadmium Misting

Skills: She's reasonably intelligent, with a very good sense of direction. She's skilled at fighting with a staff or a spear, although she has no formal training. She has a knack for drawing maps, and has an excellent memory.

Equipment: She carries a pack containing a bedroll, an electric flashlight, a couple days' worth of food, a change of clothes, a small book of hand-drawn maps, and a sheathed knife. She also carries a wooden staff with a metal tip, which she sharpens occasionally.

Weakness: She gets impatient and annoyed easily, and has a hard time committing to one course of action. She's also allergic to nuts, and she needs glasses, although she tries to deny it.

Family: She's an only child, and has two very supporting parents who remain on Scadrial. She was engaged at one point, but broke it off.

Home Planet: Scadrial, Era 2

Backstory: Sarah's father ran a small shipping company on Elendel, and tried to get her to work there, but she was always more interested in where the shipments were going than managing finances. Seeing this, her dad let her ride along with one of their trains, where she worked as a sort of supervisor and impromptu bodyguard. She Snapped a couple months into the process, which made her much more useful; however, she still got the sense that the other workers were only really putting up with her because she was the daughter of their boss. Eventually she left and joined an expedition to map some unexplored territory to the North. The expedition encountered harsh weather and decided to turn back, but she refused to give up and pushed onward. She has no idea how it happened, but she eventually stumbled into the Alleyverse, where she set about finding work.

Guild: None currently (She'll probably join the ACE as soon as that plot starts)

Psyche: Sane

Personality: She's rather impulsive and quite reckless, and has a tendency to go charging off into the unknown. She's strongly motivated by curiosity and a sense of adventure, and dislikes being tied down in one situation. She's generally quite cheerful and friendly, and tries to make friends wherever she goes.

Appearance: Tall, with tanned skin and long black hair tied into a ponytail. She wears thick boots and several layers of clothing, which can be removed to adjust for temperature.

Fighting style: She'll use Cadmium speed bubbles to position herself close to her enemies, and then incapacitate them with her staff.

Thanks! Also, could Aln be added to the character list? She was approved a while ago, but somehow never made it on. Her character sheet is on my About Me page. I would copy it for you, but it doesn't work very well on my phone. Thanks.

I will be keeping Deteca in E4; as for updates to the profile, we should probably change the Magic category from "Magic: [REDACTED] (Currently none, but she'll...pick some up. It has been factored into her score.)" to "Magic: Voidmaking; she doesn't know she can do this, though she will learn."

Thanks mods, sorry to burden you :)

For my Era 4 characters, it'll be my amnesiac dude (he never really got added to the list, though he was approved, and I'll put his sheet up here in a little bit, along with the refreshed Malu^2), Malu^2, and Okame.

And the spoiler tag in the other is empty, probably due to copy-pasting weirdness. Unless that was done on purpose.

Sorry again and thank you again!

@Sorana Your Characters are added to the list.

Thanks a lot.

Here's the last one, a new character. She's within the 150 points, so I didn't add any point suggestions for her weaknesses/ character traits.

Spoiler

Name: Temeria Sheneth

Age: 20

Physical: average sized woman, brown hair reaching to her shoulders, usually pulled back into a ponytail, muscular body, dark brown eyes, several scars all over her body

Investiture: Dustbringer 1st oath (85)

Spren: Ember (Player Voidus)

Skills: Melee Weapon Training (skilled) (50)

Weaknesses: nightmares, doesn't like to make decisions, instead she prefers to follow the lead of others, stubborn to the point where it gets ridiculus

Character: likes to fight and likes to provoke a fight, will keep a bargain at any cost, doesn’t give her word lightly, trusts strangers too easily, afraid to be left alone

Family: sister: Aln Shenet (Player Rushu42), an older brother and parents

Guild Affiliation: n/a

Homeworld: Roshar

Backstory: Temeria grew up in Roshar. She was loved by her mother, who saw her youngest child as the ideal one. Whatever desire Temeria voiced, her mother fulfilled her wishes. And while it sounded like heaven, Temeria hated her situation. Her siblings spend time with each other, communicated, while she was kept apart from them, brought to tea parties and showed off to friends. She took great care to remain the nice and perfect daughter, as she feared to loose her mother as well. Without her mother, she’d have nothing left. She was ten when both her siblings left shortly after each other, leaving her behind with her parents. Her father spent more and more time away from the house, her mother watched every movement of hers with cold, unforgiving eyes. Suddenly Temeria was never good enough, never perfect enough.

One day she walked into the city and was robbed. By accident she killed the man and managed to escape. For a moment she considered to go home, but then she heard the shouting of the guards, looking for a murderer and so she fled instead, too afraid to go home again. She hid in a cart and fell asleep. When she woke she was in a strange world, she’d never seen before. The next years she spent in Nalthis and, mostly because there was no other choice, joined the army. At one point she stopped searching for a way back, only occasionally asked around. There were tales about people travelling between the worlds, but nobody seemed to know any details. She learned how to fight, left the army after a couple of years and finally worked as a guard. Slowly she lost the traits her mother had instilled in her, and instead adapted behaviours of the soldiers around her. She never forgot about her parents, or about the man she’d killed and while she killed others afterwards, his face never left her.

Content to stay there for the rest of her life, one day she stumbled over a cart, that looked oddly familiar. Tinkerers, the people murmured, from far away. Temeria headed over, recognized the colourful stripes of fabric. They could take her home. Taking her weapons and her money, she hid in one of the wagons again, this time she couldn’t fall asleep. Whatever happened, she couldn’t grasp it, couldn’t describe. What she knew was, that suddenly there were strange noises all around, and then they discovered her. Throwing her out of the wagon, in the middle of a city (=Alleycity), that looked like it had been partially razed, she was left behind.

I would put the weaknesses at about 15 in total bringing you to 120.

Thank you so much!

So regarding updated characters, here are Karin and Shade. For the others I'll probably wait until the current plot is over, given that what happens there will probably affect them.

Karin:

Spoiler
Spoiler

Name: Karin Dreier

Epic Name: Eldritch

Gender: Female

Age: 20 (looks 15 because of her abilities)

Appearance: 5'1'' tall, with an unhealthily pale skin, black eyes and long black hair. When actively using her abilities her skin gains a tar-like appearance. Normally wears a long sleeveless black dress made of an unidentifiable substance (actually made from her own body using shapeshifting). Someone paying close attention will notice she normally doesn't breath except when talking, and she doesn't have a heartbeat either.

Non-human physique: Her body is made up of an unknown organic substance which gives her access to a number of abilities.

  • Physical enhancement. This mainly improves her speed and agility, not her strength, and is on a similar level as the enhancement supplied by stormlight.
  • Enhanced reflexes. Her reflexes are about twice as good as those of regular humans.
  • No need for breath.
  • No need for sleep.
  • Regeneration. Her regeneration is a bit slower than that of stormlight and isn't capable of healing shardblade damage. However, the way her body works does mean she can detach or reabsorb cut limbs and regrow them. Additionally, her ... unique physical structure means that having her spine cut doesn't kill her, though it'll kill a large part of her body.
Whenever a surface is wound is being regenerated a tar-like molluscoid organic matter will cover the wound or grow in the shape of the missing limb and then revert back to her normal skin-color.
Relies on stored mass to work.
  • Limited shapeshifting. While she can't alter her appearance or the nature of her body she's capable of detaching, absorbing and twisting her limbs, as well as growing tentacles from exposed skin. She can also use this to create clothing, though this clothing doesn't allow her to grow tentacles from it and is somewhat limited in complexity, generally limiting her to dresses and similar clothing.
Relies on stored mass to work.

Abilities: Her powers have mutated her body into it's current state. She also has an ability that allows her to store matter in a pocket dimension, which she needs for her shapeshifting and regeneration. She can still use those abilities without having matter stored up but it requires her to use her own body instead. She can only store up to 40kg, and any additional matter she absorbs simply vanishes. She normally absorbs matter through eating but she can also absorb parts of her body or secrete acid from her tentacles to slowly digest and absorb whatever she's touching (this takes a while, and isn't really usable in combat).

Skills: Hand to hand, skilled. Smart. Scholarship (molecular biology), amateur.

Epic weakness: Extreme temperatures. Any wounds inflicted by low or high enough temperatures (liquid nitrogen, fire) doesn't heal and needs to be detached or reabsorbed to be healed.

Weaknesses:

  • Her regeneration and shapeshifting are limited to the amount of mass she has stored up. If she uses too much of it she'll need to retreat to get more, and have to deal with the fact that her healing and shapeshifting won't work anymore.
  • She's missing a large amount of her memories, and doesn't remember anything except a few vague flashes of memory from the period between when she got her abilities and when she turned up in the alleyverse.
This means that she isn't capable of accessing most of her skills and doesn't have a lot of experience with her abilities, though it's possible for her to access them when going by pure instinct.
  • Dislikes showing off her abilities, especially her shapeshifting, and tries to use it as little as possible.

Family: Has a younger brother and sister as well as her parents. She doesn't know if they're still alive.

Personality: Tends to appear rather laid-back when not doing anything, often joking around with people. When she's actually doing something she tends to get rather energetic though, often appearing much more focused. Both of these are somewhat of a facade though, and behind them she's quite serious, analyzing everything that goes on around her. While she tries to hide it her missing memories affect her a lot, and the topic tends to make her rather uncomfortable. She believes there's a reason her memories are missing, and beliefs that getting them back will be dangerous to her, but she still feels a need to get them back.
Finds that she enjoys science, especially biology, though she finds the other DA researchers somewhat disturbing and doesn't really like a some the things the DA does. Dislikes criminals and those who prey on people weaker than them, and tends to try and stop them.
She doesn't care much about the big picture normally, instead focusing on helping a single person, without caring about the larger consequences.
Sometimes she feels like something is causing her to do certain things, and she always has a faint impression something is missing.

History: Isn't aware of most of her past, but remembers living a normal life with her family up until she was 15, at which her memories cut out. She still has a few memories of herself fighting, though with much more power than she can now. At one point she woke up in the alleyverse missing most of her memories, and was taken in by the DA's bioscience department, though she normally doesn't spend much time there, wandering through the alleyverse instead. During the Plasmacore incident she was told to stay in the alleys however, and isn't fully aware of everything that transpired during the event, such as Aylitha appearing and using an appearance similar to hers. Recently the department head gave her the suggestion that she might be interested in investigating the newly discovered cavern system, so she decided to join up with the ACE.

Affiliation: DA, bioscience department.

Theme song: Delain, Danse Macabre.

Spoilers for Karin's identity in the following section. The character outlined below will only exist in the alleys while Sudiov's nerfs are active, so they don't need to be scored.

  Hide contents

Name: Aylitha

Gender: Doesn't fully apply, but goes by female for undisclosed reasons

Age: Doesn't apply, though her human form looks around 13.

Species: Eldritch abomination

Appearance: Generally appears as a human-sized fox with pitch-black fur or a human with an appearance similar to Karin, though shorter (4'7'') and a few years younger.

Abilities: Her body is made up out of the same cells as Karin's, though they can be much more specialized. She can also fully alter her body's shape. Her cells (and to some extent her entire body) function as gateways to an alternate universe, allowing her to transfer mass between them. Her main intellect also exists in this dimension, which allows her to have multiple bodies at once. She also doesn't have any real limits to the amount of mater she can transfer from her own universe into the one her body resides in, and while she does have limits to the amount of mater that can be transferred at once she can still cover an entire city in her growths in under an hour, though the speed at which she can eat things is much lower (though reabsorbing her own mater happens at the same rate as creating it)
She can also insert her cells into other living organisms to mutate their bodies, both to turn them into things similar to herself (which she can then place under her own control if she wants to) or simply rearranging their DNA and cells. This process takes time however.

Skills: Mastermind. scholarship (molecular biology), expert.

Weakness: Her main body is incapable of leaving the alleys while Sudiov's nerfs are in effect, and any bodies she does create are limited to the abilities Karin has.

Personality: Highly enjoys science and biological experiments. Generally doesn't pay much attention to the world outside the alleys, though that has been changing recently. Doesn't care about humans, only caring about those they consider interesting. She sometimes does show a surprising amount of humanity though. Hostile to people they consider evil, though their definition of evil can be strange sometimes.

History: A bizarre being that at one point found itself crossing paths with the alleys. Intrigued by this strange existence she decided to investigate, and ended up joining, seeing it as a good place to continue her research, eventually spawning and leading the bioscience department. Recently she decided to create Karin as an experiment with offshoots, using a personality she had absorbed before coming to the alleys as a basis and granting the offshoot significant autonomy. Recently she has started interacting with the rest of the DA again, and she started getting more curious about the outside world as well thanks to the Plasmacore incident. Because of this she decided to get the Karin offshoot more involved in what is going on outside, telling them to help investigating the newly discovered cavern system under the city.

Affiliation: DA, bioscience department head.

Theme song: Madame Macabre, God Syndrome. Yuki Kajiura, Sis Puella Magica

Shade:

Spoiler

Name: Shade
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Appearance: 5'2'', with long black hair and brown eyes. Normally wears a black pants with a grey hoodie that seems to be a few sizes to big. She has a number of scars hidden away under her cloths.
Powers: Presence Manipulation
This ability can make people pay more or less attention to her, as well as giving them the idea she is in a different location, or give the idea she/projected presence is someone else.
Hiding her presence works similar to the Grey Men from WoT, with roughly the same level of effectiveness. Its effectiveness varies depending on the sense used to perceive her though. Hearing or seeing her doesn't do much, but her smell is still noticed and can make someone pay more attention to her, though it's generally not enough to break the ability if she doesn't do anything too suspicious. Direct physical contact will immediately break the ability though, and will make them fully aware of her. Highly unusual actions, like firing guns or yelling will also seriously weaken the ability. This ability is also a lot less effective on people who were already aware of her when the ability activated.
Increasing her presence will make people around her focus on her, and draw their attention away from other things. When used with less strength it will simply make people notice her unconsciously, making her stand out more.
Projecting her presence will make people think she is at the projected location instead of her actual location. If the person in question is already aware of the her location it will only function as a distraction, disorienting the person in question. Also, if they actually see the location the presence is projected to it'll immediately fail as they realize there's nobody there, unless they think there is someone invisible around. An interesting quirk of this is that by quickly projecting her presence at different locations close to herself she can make it harder for people to know her exact location, disorienting people looking at her and making it harder to hit her with ranged weapons.
Disguising her presence makes people think she's someone else. This ability fails when someone pays actual attention to her though, since actual inspection would show them that she is somebody else. The closer she looks like the person who's presence she's using the less likely it is for the effect to fail. This ability can also be used in conjunction with projecting her presence, making people think it's someone else who's at the location the presence is projected to.

Notes:

  • It is possible for her to simultaneously hide her presence and project it.
  • Only one presence can be projected at the same time, though the presence can be re-projected at high speeds (about 0.15 seconds).
  • The range for projecting a presence is limited to locations either within line of sight or within 30 meters of her if she is aware of the location.
  • She can sense how much attention people are paying her, and is thus aware of it when someone breaks her ability.
  • If someone breaks her ability only the person in question notices her. Everyone else affected by the ability will still be affected, but the person not affected can tell the others about her, breaking the ability for them as well.
  • If someone has broken their ability reusing it will still make the ability apply to them again. Generally the ability would break again immediately (creating the disorientation/mirage trick with presence projection by continuously distracting them with new presences) but if the person who broke it didn't really pay any attention to her anyway it can successfully re-apply itself (for example, if someone bumped into her on the street and ignored her the ability could be applied again).

Skills: Assassination (Expert), Melee Weapons (Skilled, limited to knives, also includes throwing knives).

Equipment: A large number of hidden knives.

Epic Weakness: Feeling trapped, normally triggered by someone grabbing her wrists or restraining her, but other triggers can occur as well.

Weaknesses: Dislikes fighting and killing, she'll try to avoid combat unless she feels like she has no choice. She's also fairly shy and has trouble dealing with crowds. She has psychological issues related to her backstory, and if she feels trapped or threatened she can snap, having mental breakdown.

Guild: Church of the Whiterose.

Family: Parents and uncle, all deceased.

Personality: She tends to be somewhat quiet and shy, but likes caring for others, especially children. Has a dislike for fighting, and is aware of the psychological issues she has, and is trying to overcome them, while also trying to atone for the killing she did when she was younger. Both of these are why she enjoys caring for children.
When using her powers her emotions fade away. She personally has the idea that the more she hides her presence the more her emotions disappear as well. Her motivations stay though, and certain strong emotions can stay as well (specifically her fear of being trapped).
Likes being in open places.
Dislikes other people seeing her scars.

History: She grew up with abusive parents, learning quickly not to draw attention to herself. With the only person she liked a mysterious uncle who came by every once in a while. When she turned seven Calamity appeared, and one of the rampaging Epics killed her parents, and she survived only because of her own abilities manifesting. Her uncle took her in afterwards, but was only interested in her ability. It turned out that he was an assassin, and he started training her as well, eventually turning her into a skilled killer, having her serve as his tool and hiring out her services.
Eventually when she got older she managed to befriend a local girl. However, her uncle found out, and scared that she might betray him he kidnapped the girl, and tried to force Shade to kill her, engaging her weakness in the process. With the encouragement from the girl she managed to snap out of it and kill her uncle instead, overcoming her weakness. Her uncle still fatally wounded the girl though, and when she died Shade didn't know what to do, simply wandering about until she arrived in the alleyverse, where she ended up at the guild, deciding to stay in the hope that she might find a way to escape from her past, as well as a way to atone for all the people she killed.

Theme Song: Within Temptation, Overcome

Could you guys could add all my old characters to the new list?

Here's my new character (sorry for the long post.... No rush!)

Spoiler

Name: Jasper Locket

Physical Characteristics: Short (5'7"). Black, close cropped hair. Blue eyes. Lean build. Has an inviting air that often makes people more open to him.

Age: 23

Investiture: Windrunner of the first Ideal(close to second ideal. He also calls himself a Soulbinder instead of Windrunner). Is also a Rioter. Due to unusual circumstances he doesn't have the Gravitation surge and instead the Adhesion surge and his zinc abilities have become intertwined. He can use both abilities separately or use varying combinations of the two.

Variant ability 1: He can lock peoples' emotions for an extended length of time. (Time varies depending on person, how strongly they already felt, and if they are resisting.) He can attach feelings to memories or towards other people by having his victim actively thinking about the target thought and then rioting an emotion and finally uses adhesion to bind the emotion to the thought(This is not something he's good at. most people think about multiple things at once and he often attaches the emotion to the wrong thought).  This can have long term effects and can potentially permanently alter a person.

Variant ability 2: He can stick an emotion to an object so that it emits his Rioting on people nearby. Requires fuel and Jasper can't Riot with whatever emotion he sticks to the object.*

Resonance: Unknown. (I feel as if it should be very subtle. The normal Windrunner Resonance, Strength of Squires, doesn't seem like it would fit, but I haven't thought what else it could be.)

Weaknesses: He doesn't have access to the Gravitation surge. He also has little fighting skills and prefers alternate methods of resolving conflicts. He's desperate to be liked.

Skills: He is a good scholar and reads enough to know a fair amount about the world at large. He is very perceptive and enjoys studying people. He's also a good cook. If need be he has throwing knives which he's average with.

Personality: He is less then stable. He was always a manipulator and with his new powers he has become far worse. He does care about people but also loves to play with them. He can be kindhearted to those he likes and can tear people apart from the inside-out if he doesn't like them. He wishes to be better but also thinks his way is the best.

Backstory: Grew up on Scadrial (Era 1). He was a noble. His mother was a skilled mistborn and his father was a pewter misting. His parents were less than impressed with him being a zinc misting but never said anything. Jasper is pretty perceptive and knew what they thought anyways. He left his family and became an Obligator. Rising through the ranks he eventually was promoted over to the Atium Pits as a bureaucrat (He despised the job). He felt pity for the skaa at the pits but also believed them to be terrible criminals (which for the most part they were). One night he discovered worldhoppers who were using the Pits. Intrigued, he convinced them to take him with them and has never returned. He spent most of his time on Alleyplanet with the occasional trip to Roshar. On the latest of these trips he found a spren following him. The spren was very faint but looked like a windspren. Correctly assuming it was an Honorspren, he swore the first oath and became a Knight Radiant. (As a fun side note: He lost all his Obligator tattoos when he first breathed Stormlight.) With his new powers he attempted to make his crush love him. He didn't know what he was doing and ended up driving her to insanity. He tried making her love him and attempted to attach good vibes to all her memoires of him. he also tried to get rid of the competition by making her hate those she currently liked. He didn't understand her enough and created too many conflicting emotions that her mind simply couldn't handle. He left her in an asylum on Roshar staring blankly at a wall. Racked with grief and guilt, he swore to himself he would master his abilities and return to heal her.

Spren: Jessica(not her true name, but she couldn't remember what her name was so Jasper picked a new one for her.) Was caught alone by some worldhopping hemalurgists who spiked out the Gravitation surge from her. She was in extreme pain and feared death. Her captors were preparing more spikes but she escaped by fleeing to the Physical Realm. She was able to draw herself to Jasper despite his loose morals. When she bonded Jasper she grafted his zinc abilities to herself to help heal her. She's not quite an Honorspern anymore and it's profoundly disturbing to her. She also knows that she can't survive loosing the bond with Jasper and is terrified of death.

*This seems to not work for others. I thought it felt natural, but if others disagree, I don't mind changing it!

For Era 4, I will be bringing over Kendul Adeel, with some changes,

I'm not adding any new characters this era, at least not yet. No changes.

But you'll keep your current ones?

@Lord Furret I moved your characters over.

Kiregen:

Investiture: Enhanced Shardplate that was modified with half-shards, to make it more powerful at the expense of speed and maneuverability, plus the cost of refueling and repairing it.  45

Skills: Expert with melee weaponry, a skilled strategist. 75+40

Equipment: Ornate dual-axes, smelted with a combination of Steel and Aluminum, to make it harder to be manipulated by coinshots and lurchers, with chains on the handle allowing them to be used similar to whips.

Weakness: Slow, refuses to fight dirty, or use “Cheap Tricks.” A few powerful coinshots or lurchers could use the steel in his axes against him. Devout follower of the Alethi War Codes. Blames the guilds for what happened to his wife and son. 15

160-15= 145.

They are good and are added to the list.

I took a look at your character. Took me a bit, but I asked for a second opinion before posting here, as he is unusual (in the good way) @Steel Inquisitive

What I personally like, is that you combine the two kinds of investiture and seem to have a clear picture in mind. The reason why he is broken in the first place is missing a bit, although I think it might have something to do with his parents. If possible maybe add that to his backstory, as there is the possibility to substract points depending on how much it influences him in his daily life.

Skills: He is a good scholar and reads enough to know a fair amount about the world at large. He is very perceptive and enjoys studying people. He's also a good cook. If need be he has throwing knives which he's average with.

Scholarship average 20; Cooking average 10; projectile weapon training average 45

As you only mentionen the level of his skill with the throwing knives, I went with an average level for both scholarship and cooking. If you want that higher or lower, please tell me, then I can adapt it accordingly.

Sum of points for skills: 75

Investiture: Windrunner of the first Ideal(close to second ideal. He also calls himself a Soulbinder instead of Windrunner). Is also a Rioter. Due to unusual circumstances he doesn't have the Gravitation surge and instead the Adhesion surge and his zinc abilities have become intertwined. He can use both abilities separately or use varying combinations of the two.

Windrunner 1st ideal 85

(Please keep in mind, that we've established during this era, that you have to check with a mod before having a Radiant speak another oath. You state, that he is close to his second oath, so depending on how soon you want to write him speaking his second oath, it might be neccessary to calculate him as 2nd oath. Otherwise he will have to go through the neccessary development on screen and that may take the whole next era. I don't want to discourage you from rping his development, quite the contrary, but I felt like you should know up front, that we're stricter about Radiant's speaking their oaths than we were when Era 3 started.)

Zinc 35

Sum of points for Investiture: 120 (not including Variant abilities)

16 hours ago, Steel Inquisitive said:

Variant ability 1: He can lock peoples' emotions for an extended length of time. (Time varies depending on person, how strongly they already felt, and if they are resisting.) He can attach feelings to memories or towards other people by having his victim actively thinking about the target thought and then rioting an emotion and finally uses adhesion to bind the emotion to the thought(This is not something he's good at. most people think about multiple things at once and he often attaches the emotion to the wrong thought).  This can have long term effects and can potentially permanently alter a person.

Could you please give me some kind of direction what an extended length of time is for you? Is that minutes, or hours or days? I know you stated that it varies, but I have a hard to judge this ability without some direction what you have in mind.

What I feel like it might cause some conflict is the part about "ties emotions to a memory and potentially permanently alter a person" - it's a cool concept, but the moment the other player doesn't agree the ability will either be ignored, or the other one is annoyed because their character is pushed in a direction they didn't want them to go. We already see most player characters react to rioting, by finding a reaons, why they aren't affected (like haveing an aluminum headband in their pocket) and I wouldn't be surprised if it is the same here. You can buy this ability, but please think about it, so that you aren't disappointed when most players don't react as you wish they had. Of course you can always talk to somebody up front, especially when it comes to the permanent effects, that might be a good way to avoid frustration on both sides.

16 hours ago, Steel Inquisitive said:

Variant ability 2: He can stick an emotion to an object so that it emits his Rioting on people nearby. Requires fuel and Jasper can't Riot with whatever emotion he sticks to the object.*

Based on the discussion in the other thread, I would like to ask you to change that if possible. It seems like you already have another idea, so I think, that might be better.

16 hours ago, Steel Inquisitive said:

Weaknesses: He doesn't have access to the Gravitation surge. He also has little fighting skills and prefers alternate methods of resolving conflicts. He's desperate to be liked.

No Gravitation surge -15

desperate to be liked -5

Sum of points for weaknesses -20

In total: Skills 75 (with cooking included) // Investiture 120 // Weaknesses (-20) = 175 || the special variant skills not included.

All in all you are a bit over the 150 points, without your variant skills. So I have to ask you, to either remove some of his skills, or to add some weaknesses. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them any time.

Alright, apologies for the delay, mods, but here's Malu^2 and the Amnesiac!

Spoiler

Name: Mälu / The Wanderer

Investiture: Epic ability - Shadowtrail (5)
Leaks shadows from his fingers and the edges of         his clothing.
F-Copper (30)
Third Oath Truthwatcher:
    Life before Death
Knowledge should be gained regardless of cost
In order to gain knowledge, you must be worthy of it

Resonance - His Illumination details human systems if left improperly shaped.

Weaknesses:
Thinks his Shadowtrail is something that he's been cursed with. The darkness doesn't help this.
Wants to open people up to see what's inside and learn their intricacies, borderline compulsively.
Was a serial killer through the majority of his wandering, while posing as a doctor and a teacher.
    Current bodycount: 33
Numerically obsessed. 3, 7, and 9 are his good numbers
Psychotic spren whispering in his head

Special skills and Weapons:
    Dissection (Expert)

Physical Characteristics:
Male, human, black hair, 6'3" Scadrian, mostly wears black trousers and a deep blue cloak, which pretty much just looks black, with the shadows dripping off accentuating the dark look.

Family:
Mother was an Archivist, Father was a Rosharan worldhopper, escaping the Vorins. Both deceased.

Home:
Born on Scadrial, but he doesn't consider it home as such. He considers himself a wanderer, homeless, out to gather as much information as he can and put it to use somehow.

Backstory: Mälu grew up on the streets of Elendel. Or, more accurately, under the streets of Elendel. He made his home in the tunnels and caverns beneath it all, emerging by night to steal enough to keep him alive and returning down below. As he got older, he turned to more bold forms of crime: mugging and extortion. Eventually he found out he could store memories in copper and began using that for his protection records.
And then one day someone missed a payment.
Mälu burned the shop down with the man's children inside and flayed his wife alive in front of his eyes.
This was a warning. From there he consolidated power in the Eighth Octant, ruling the lesser criminals, far away from prying eyes and bribing conners, until one day he got wind of another place to extort. One where they paid entirely in gems. He followed the trail back to its source and found a way through contacts to get to Roshar, where he began devouring the knowledge of that world, attracting attention from a spren named Katki who proceeded to bond with Mälu. As he moved through the Oaths, his desire for more perfect knowledge increased to new heights and he began "disappearing" people and gained a teaching position as an "ardent" teaching human anatomy.
No one ever questioned where he got his cadavers for demonstrations. Before too long, he was stretching above and beyond again, looking for something more, something to fill him with energy again.
And he ended up in the Alleycity, with a new twist. Shadows dripped from his hands and cloak constantly.
A curse.
It drives him to violence and irritability, assissted by the whispering of Katki in his mind.
And so he goes.

Spoiler

Name: Mälu

Investiture: Twinborn (a-copper, f-electrum) and 1st Oath Truthwatcher (spren named Katki)

Weaknesses: Refuses to act until he's fully thought things through, save for extreme scenarios, trust issues b/c spike stuff, storing determination leaves him extremely apathetic to the point of not eating sometimes if he's really trying to rebuild his stores, not physically strong at all, can't sneak worth beans

Special skills and Weapons: Bagh Nakh (fairly skilled), reads fast, smooth-talker

Physical Characteristics: Male, human, black hair, rusted copper green eyes (hemalurgic side effect), 6'3" Scadrian, mostly wears black trousers and a deep

Family: Mother was a Coppercloud with faint Terris blood, Father was Rosharan. Both deceased.

Home: Born on Scadrial, but he doesn't consider it home as such. He considers himself a wanderer, homeless, out to gather as much information as he can and sell it on.

Backstory: Mälu was born on Scadrial, in Weathering. His mother was under a lot of strain, and wasn't exactly all there, so when he began manifesting as an Archivist, she begged his father to use her as a donor for Hemalurgy to give him the Allomantic copper so he could be a Compounder. Under enough times being asked, he gave in (he wasn't all there, either, but mostly because he was an alcoholic), and tied Mälu to his bed one night (of course they didn't tell him what was happening, so he was flipping out with all the strength in his little 10 year old body) and spiked him. His eyes, shortly after, changed from the hazel that they were before to a green reminiscient of rusted copper. A year and a half after that, having just turned 12, Mälu returned home to find his father had hung himself in their small home. He ran away from that, crying at first, and then soon after compartmentalizing it. He stumbled into a temporary Perpendicularity made by an Elsecaller group coming from Roshar to Scadrial and sprinted through the two temporary perpendicularities stumbling straight into Roshar. He ended up living in Roshar for the next few years, always seeking more information to store in his copperminds, even joining the ardents working at the Palaneum to continue his gathering for as long as he could, but eventually began seeing strange patterns around him, reflections of light off water when there was no water, nor even mist. Before long, he swore the First Oath of the Truthwatchers, bonding Katki the spren, attracted to his pursuit of knowledge above all else. He has remained on the First Oath for quite some time, as he was extremely unsure of what to do and didn't
want to find out that he was distancing himself from all he had worked towards in the time since he got there. Leaving the ardentia, another Radiant found him and he ended up learning about his abilities enough to use them with some proficiency. He shelled out for a set of perfect gemstones that he keeps with him at all times, tucked into hidden pockets in his signature vests so that he always has a supply of emergency Stormlight.
But now everything is different.
Visiting the Nightwatcher was a mistake.

Amnesiac:

Spoiler

Name: Zerameth Adovani
(zeras + tsameth) (adoda + javani)

Physical Characteristics: A fairly tan Alethi, standing at 5'11" in Rosharan measurements, light green eyes, black hair.

Investiture: Used to be a Third Ideal Edgedancer, now is just being followed by the mindless Cultivationspren that once was bonded to him in hopes he defaults back to the bond (I plan to have him do so eventually, as his personality starts to rebuild). He also occasionally gets flash visions of the deadeye.

Skills: None

Equipment: None

Weakness: Doesn't remember anything the majority of the time, but there are some dissonance flashbacks that envelop him occasionally, even if he doesn't understand the context of what he sees.

Family: IC: ?????????? OOC: the life of a travelling tradesman doesn't leave much time for family.

Home Planet: IC: ?????????? OOC: Roshar

Backstory: IC: ??????????
OOC: Zerameth was once a travelling tradesman, using chulls to pull his wagon of wares across the breadth of Roshar selling, buying, and fixing his way through every nation and every group he could, spending a few days at each town before moving on, learning about the inhabitants of each town then setting off to do the same at the next stopping point, weathering the storms in his wagon during the times he couldn't make it somewhere with a shelter. Eventually this peaceful life of learning about those that most considered useless or below their notice attracted the attention of Cultivationspren, who sent one to bond. He progressed to the Third Ideal before his camp was raided one night. Despite his surprise, he managed to summon his Blade and kill one of his attackers before another clubbed him over the head hard and he woke up in a shallow door indentation facing an alley.

Personality: Very very confused.

Fighting Style: He has no idea how to fight, beyond "make a fist, move fist."

Reason for being broken enough to attract a bond: He's a third son within his family and was constantly criticized for not living up to his family's standards, which is what caused

Oh wait I forgot about Okame. He needs to be transferred as well. No changes, there, though, not like with Malu^2.
