So I have a character, and could groot come to e4?

  Reveal hidden contents

Name:
Adren

Physical Characteristics and appearance:
Age 29
Build: Someone who knows work. A man not like
a body builder, but muscle with a layer of flesh
that comes from working and using his body.
Complexion: Pale, but not pure white. The skin
of someone who does not see the sun more than
a few hours a day. And is protected while in it.
Complexion coming from work in a lab or a
dungeon.... well kept beard, brown but Grey hairs appearing.
Hands and Arms: Wide hands, a grip that can
crush an unprepared hand with a shake. Arms
that are defined by the scars that surround the
muscle. Muscle which is toned from his work.
Eyes: Deep blue almost fading to black. Pupils
that slightly draw light in, creating what appears to be a hole in the air, the sise of which depends on
the dilation of the pupils, and making it hard to
look him in the eye, but at the same time drawing your gaze
Stride: Mid long strides, but a heavy step.
Unyielding steps that hurt an unprepared foot in
their path.

Equipment: (I'm gonna go off the rails here, but it is for effect and will only make my dialog funnier)
Copper earring. Awakened to sentience, that serves as an assistant, helping remember stuff, (not super memory, but like I can ask it to remember stuff like writing it  down)  it is a murder happy thing. Saying to kill everyone.voicd like a teenage girl. Named mercy delilah

A cleaver also awakened to sentience, doesn't have any magic effects. Has the personality of a grizzled mountain man that just wants to rest. Named Jethro

Weakness:
Cookies. Sorry I'm an addict.

Guild:
It's me. Dark alley of course.

Psyche:
Slightly mad. Comes from the voices.

Personality:
Loves science

Theme Song:

Fighting Style:
I've got a cleaver

Your character looks good. Not sure what the equipment comes out to, but I will say that any metal object that is awakened to sentinance acts like a shardblade due to its high level of investment. The earing wont be able to do anything, but the cleaver comes out to 40 for the shardblade effect. Its still nothing close to the 150.

Alright, apologies for the delay, mods, but here's Malu^2 and the Amnesiac!

  Reveal hidden contents

Name: Mälu / The Wanderer

Investiture: Epic ability - Shadowtrail (5)
Leaks shadows from his fingers and the edges of         his clothing.
F-Copper (30)
Third Oath Truthwatcher:
    Life before Death
Knowledge should be gained regardless of cost
In order to gain knowledge, you must be worthy of it

Resonance - His Illumination details human systems if left improperly shaped.

Weaknesses:
Thinks his Shadowtrail is something that he's been cursed with. The darkness doesn't help this.
Wants to open people up to see what's inside and learn their intricacies, borderline compulsively.
Was a serial killer through the majority of his wandering, while posing as a doctor and a teacher.
    Current bodycount: 33
Numerically obsessed. 3, 7, and 9 are his good numbers
Psychotic spren whispering in his head

Special skills and Weapons:
    Dissection (Expert)

Physical Characteristics:
Male, human, black hair, 6'3" Scadrian, mostly wears black trousers and a deep blue cloak, which pretty much just looks black, with the shadows dripping off accentuating the dark look.

Family:
Mother was an Archivist, Father was a Rosharan worldhopper, escaping the Vorins. Both deceased.

Home:
Born on Scadrial, but he doesn't consider it home as such. He considers himself a wanderer, homeless, out to gather as much information as he can and put it to use somehow.

Backstory: Mälu grew up on the streets of Elendel. Or, more accurately, under the streets of Elendel. He made his home in the tunnels and caverns beneath it all, emerging by night to steal enough to keep him alive and returning down below. As he got older, he turned to more bold forms of crime: mugging and extortion. Eventually he found out he could store memories in copper and began using that for his protection records.
And then one day someone missed a payment.
Mälu burned the shop down with the man's children inside and flayed his wife alive in front of his eyes.
This was a warning. From there he consolidated power in the Eighth Octant, ruling the lesser criminals, far away from prying eyes and bribing conners, until one day he got wind of another place to extort. One where they paid entirely in gems. He followed the trail back to its source and found a way through contacts to get to Roshar, where he began devouring the knowledge of that world, attracting attention from a spren named Katki who proceeded to bond with Mälu. As he moved through the Oaths, his desire for more perfect knowledge increased to new heights and he began "disappearing" people and gained a teaching position as an "ardent" teaching human anatomy.
No one ever questioned where he got his cadavers for demonstrations. Before too long, he was stretching above and beyond again, looking for something more, something to fill him with energy again.
And he ended up in the Alleycity, with a new twist. Shadows dripped from his hands and cloak constantly.
A curse.
It drives him to violence and irritability, assissted by the whispering of Katki in his mind.
And so he goes.

Name: Mälu

Investiture: Twinborn (a-copper, f-electrum) and 1st Oath Truthwatcher (spren named Katki)

Weaknesses: Refuses to act until he's fully thought things through, save for extreme scenarios, trust issues b/c spike stuff, storing determination leaves him extremely apathetic to the point of not eating sometimes if he's really trying to rebuild his stores, not physically strong at all, can't sneak worth beans

Special skills and Weapons: Bagh Nakh (fairly skilled), reads fast, smooth-talker

Physical Characteristics: Male, human, black hair, rusted copper green eyes (hemalurgic side effect), 6'3" Scadrian, mostly wears black trousers and a deep

Family: Mother was a Coppercloud with faint Terris blood, Father was Rosharan. Both deceased.

Home: Born on Scadrial, but he doesn't consider it home as such. He considers himself a wanderer, homeless, out to gather as much information as he can and sell it on.

Backstory: Mälu was born on Scadrial, in Weathering. His mother was under a lot of strain, and wasn't exactly all there, so when he began manifesting as an Archivist, she begged his father to use her as a donor for Hemalurgy to give him the Allomantic copper so he could be a Compounder. Under enough times being asked, he gave in (he wasn't all there, either, but mostly because he was an alcoholic), and tied Mälu to his bed one night (of course they didn't tell him what was happening, so he was flipping out with all the strength in his little 10 year old body) and spiked him. His eyes, shortly after, changed from the hazel that they were before to a green reminiscient of rusted copper. A year and a half after that, having just turned 12, Mälu returned home to find his father had hung himself in their small home. He ran away from that, crying at first, and then soon after compartmentalizing it. He stumbled into a temporary Perpendicularity made by an Elsecaller group coming from Roshar to Scadrial and sprinted through the two temporary perpendicularities stumbling straight into Roshar. He ended up living in Roshar for the next few years, always seeking more information to store in his copperminds, even joining the ardents working at the Palaneum to continue his gathering for as long as he could, but eventually began seeing strange patterns around him, reflections of light off water when there was no water, nor even mist. Before long, he swore the First Oath of the Truthwatchers, bonding Katki the spren, attracted to his pursuit of knowledge above all else. He has remained on the First Oath for quite some time, as he was extremely unsure of what to do and didn't
want to find out that he was distancing himself from all he had worked towards in the time since he got there. Leaving the ardentia, another Radiant found him and he ended up learning about his abilities enough to use them with some proficiency. He shelled out for a set of perfect gemstones that he keeps with him at all times, tucked into hidden pockets in his signature vests so that he always has a supply of emergency Stormlight.
But now everything is different.
Visiting the Nightwatcher was a mistake.

Amnesiac:

Name: Zerameth Adovani
(zeras + tsameth) (adoda + javani)

Physical Characteristics: A fairly tan Alethi, standing at 5'11" in Rosharan measurements, light green eyes, black hair.

Investiture: Used to be a Third Ideal Edgedancer, now is just being followed by the mindless Cultivationspren that once was bonded to him in hopes he defaults back to the bond (I plan to have him do so eventually, as his personality starts to rebuild). He also occasionally gets flash visions of the deadeye.

Skills: None

Equipment: None

Weakness: Doesn't remember anything the majority of the time, but there are some dissonance flashbacks that envelop him occasionally, even if he doesn't understand the context of what he sees.

Family: IC: ?????????? OOC: the life of a travelling tradesman doesn't leave much time for family.

Home Planet: IC: ?????????? OOC: Roshar

Backstory: IC: ??????????
OOC: Zerameth was once a travelling tradesman, using chulls to pull his wagon of wares across the breadth of Roshar selling, buying, and fixing his way through every nation and every group he could, spending a few days at each town before moving on, learning about the inhabitants of each town then setting off to do the same at the next stopping point, weathering the storms in his wagon during the times he couldn't make it somewhere with a shelter. Eventually this peaceful life of learning about those that most considered useless or below their notice attracted the attention of Cultivationspren, who sent one to bond. He progressed to the Third Ideal before his camp was raided one night. Despite his surprise, he managed to summon his Blade and kill one of his attackers before another clubbed him over the head hard and he woke up in a shallow door indentation facing an alley.

Personality: Very very confused.

Fighting Style: He has no idea how to fight, beyond "make a fist, move fist."

Reason for being broken enough to attract a bond: He's a third son within his family and was constantly criticized for not living up to his family's standards, which is what caused

Oh wait I forgot about Okame. He needs to be transferred as well. No changes, there, though, not like with Malu^2.

Okame and Malu are approved I'll add them to the list.

For amnesiac I would ask how his bond was broken? I don't feel like just being whacked with a club would break the bond, especially with stormlight healing he should have recovered nearly instantly. At the very least his spren would have appeared and told him to breath in his stormlight.

The amnesia resulting from severe head trauma caused him to inadvertently break an Oath.

My concern is why wouldn't his spren appear to him telling him to breath in stormlight and be healed?

My understanding is that perception wouldn't change in an instant, even though he lost his memory, his cognitive self wouldn't just go blank. He should still be able to heal that damage. Furthermore, I think it was mentioned in the books that oath breaking takes longer than a single event.

Sorry for being nitpicky, I just want to make sure that this character is really outlined well because its an awesome concept.

The thing is, while they can't remember their backstory, they still have the memories from when they woke up after the head trauma. That would be all they had so it would have a huge impact on them. Those memories are the person now, so the confusion as they inadvertently killed a spren, the weirdness as they came to the alleyverse, etc. are the new person. Making sure that this is outlined is almost more important that outlining their original life, because at the beginning this is who they are.

Theoretically, yes, he could have healed it with Stormlight, but he didn't even know the spren was real. Dude's mental state was three ways to Hades. Between the fever dreams, the flashbacks, the robbery, the hallucinations, and the confusing surroundings, dude had no idea what was real and what wasn't.

Would breaking the Oath take that long if the person is not actively trying to hold on? Kaladin was doing his utmost to hold on to Syl and that probably would have dragged the process out. Zerameth thought his spren and the flashes of Radiant memory he got occasionally were hallucinations and delusions of grandeur, so he was more or less actively abandoning the shreds of the bond. He refused to acknowledge the spren and if it tried to get him to do something, he would do the exact opposite. It told him to go surround himself with gemstones and so he found the darkest room he could and huddled there. He was out of it.

That's great! Could you put some form of that into the character bio?

The way you describe the oath breaking makes a lot of sense. In addition I was basing a little off of the Recurrence, but that is also an outlier, and his reaction to his spren is perfect. He is approved.

He was urged to "drink the Light" but he didn't know what that meant or how to do it. As far as he could tell, this was just another hallucination. He couldn't - wouldn't - trust it. Spoiler

Name: Tara

Physical Characteristics: A slim young woman with delicate features and pale blue eyes, pale skin, and reddish-blond hair.

Investiture: Steel Fering.

Skills: Expert sniper.

Equipment: Custom built sniper rifle with a modular system allowing her to fire standard bullets (lead or aluminum), armor-piercing bullets (same as before), or plasma blasts. (She can only fire about five shots before the rifle overheats and has to cool off). A single handgun.

Weakness: Scared of direct confrontation, whether on a battlefield, or just on the street. She can keep up a conversation ok, but walking up to someone and just talking to them terrifies her. She’s also terrified of face to face combat, because she thinks that she’ll lose and die.

Family: She has no idea who her real family are. A woman she calls her ‘mother’ took her in when she was a teenager and trained her in marksmanship.

Home Planet: The Alleyplanet

Backstory: Spent her first fifteen years on the streets of the Alleycity, getting beat down by basically the entire underground. She quickly learned the best hiding places in the city, and managed to survive by stealing things in the dead of night. Eventually, a Ghostblood sniper found her near dead from starvation, and took her back to her apartment. The sniper eventually gained Tara’s trust, and began to train her in marksmanship.

Guild: Ghostbloods

Personality: Very shy, doesn’t like interacting with people, though she does enjoy helping people on a battlefield with her rifle. She has a sense of humor, but doesn’t make jokes. She has very few friends, and she only likes them because they don’t talk much.

Appearance: [The artistically inclined are welcome to include an illustration of their character.]

Theme Song: soon :tm:

Fighting Style: Prefers to kill from afar, usually providing support for other Ghostblood operatives, or taking out targets with her rifle.

I did it.
I'll find Aben's character sheet later and put it up, if need be.

time to get some new character sheets added for next  era...

I will be officially retiring Ambrosia, who will be living on Sel for a while. Anthony and Bellatrix will be moving to the next era, albeit with some changes. I'm not yet sure what I'm going to do with Ark, if I want him next era or not. I want more characters, and I have some really nice ones.

Here's Bellatrix's new sheet:

Spoiler

Name: Bellatrix Deathstrike AKA Dark Angel

Investiture: Wings made of dark fire that can extend from her back at will. Allows flight. Can create and control up to twenty-seven square feet of fire (a three foot by three foot by three foot box). Can create a mental link to someone she knows well, allowing her to send them thoughts and allowing her to read thoughts they purposefully send.

Skills: Average hand to hand, skilled thievery

Appearance

Height: 6 foot

Build: Slender, average muscles

Hair: White, red and orange highlights

Eyes: Violet

Skin: Pale white, large grey patch on her right arm

Clothes: Tight fitting black t-shirt, blue jeans, black-leather gloves, black-leather jacket, tends to do without shoes or socks.

Tattoos: Bloodflame gang tattoo on her arm. Black wings made of fire on her back.

Weaknesses: No skill with regular fighting, completely reliant on her powers. Slightly overconfident, letting her fall into traps and the like. Fears her past, and will break down if confronted with it. Hands have a problem making it hard for them to make precise movements. Alcoholic. Suffers from depression. Deathly afraid of the cold (it also shuts down her fire ability)

Backstory: She was born a bastard child, and the mother threw her out on the street. She was raised by a mother whose baby had died, until she was three. That woman was one of the only people ever to be kind to her. The woman never came home. To this day, she doesn't know the woman's fate. She nearly starved before walking out onto the streets. Too young to understand, she was nearly killed twice. Then Calamity rose. She was five, and loved to watch the red in the sky. She continued to live, but one day a cold spell hit the city. It had gotten cold in those two years, but not like this. She had to watch as her hands went blue, purple, huddled in an alleway. The cold became her enemy, and she managed to get into a shelter. But her hands were never the same. Eventually, epics started appearing among the population. And she was one of them. Eventually, she found a way out, to the Alleyverse. She took some of her followers, and left. Living in the streets, she and her followers started a gang, the bloodflame gang. One day, while drinking in an alley, seperate from her gang, a man raped her. This has haunted her ever since. She lived in the Alleyverse for a long time, discovering that her mother, the one who had dumped her on the streets, was a member of the Ghostbloods. She found the woman, and burnt her until she died, taking the skull as a trophy. On the surface, this has left her a carefree, if a bit dark, woman, one who lead a gang. The combination of epic darkness and depression leaves her, truly, as a drunk who smokes too much, one who has trouble with the world. She hates the Ghostbloods with a burning passion, and her research has revealed to her TUBA's part in their creation, so she hates them by affiliation. Her gang is the only group she trusts at all.

She helped found the Bureau of Villainy, and attacked the city. She used Bureau technology to amplify and morph her powers, morphing her into Dark Phoenix. When she changed back, she was different. With powers morphed by the transformation into the Dark Phoenix.

So here are my remaining characters that need moving over to Era 4.

KanMien:

Spoiler

Name: KanMien

Gender: Started identifying as female

Species: Kandra (Genetically modified to be able to grow hair an nails, and repair broken bones (actual rate is lower than with normal humans, and only works for actual bones, so not for true bodies)

Investiture: Identity wiping blessings (Makes it easier to her to assume a different personality. While this helps with impersonation, it also makes it easy for her to develop  split personalities/behavior sets). Uses a Feruchemical zinc spike to replace the broken spikes she originally inherited from KoTiel.

Appearance: Her appearance varies, but she normally uses a female body. She uses a wooden true body of about 5'4'' tall, and has long, dark-brown hair. She generally wear a business suit that has been modified to be easier to move around with.

Equipment: Wields two handguns she found in an old DA storage room (the guns don't do anything special, they were stored there as outer-cosmere weapons), and tends to carry a large amount of spare magazines in her body. Uses a wooden true body. Carries a prototype Bag of Holding containing a anti-materiel sniper (modified with gravitonics so she can actually sort of handle the recoil) and a grenade-launcher, as well as a large amount of ammunition.

Bag of Holding details:

Spoiler

A recent experiment with alleymatics, this object has its internal dimensions connected to a small, semi-unstable alley. This allows people to store things inside the object even if they wouldn't normally fit inside, with the mass of the objects being masked. Important however is that the object still needs to fit through the bag's opening to be put inside.

Because the object is still highly experimental it still has a lot of downsides. Taking an object out or putting something into it destabilizes the portal for a certain amount of time relative to the mass of the object, making it impossible to use until it stabilizes again. Furthermore, the bag is only capable of holding a limited amount of items, though for some reason the type of item is of influence as well, with the bag only storing a limited amount of types of objects, and for each type of object only a limited amount of it can be stored as well, with the amount decided by the size and weight of the object.

Because of the nature of the alley it isn't possible for living beings to exist in it, and items stored inside don't seem to show any signs of time passing while inside.

Overloading the bag will cause it to spew out all of its contents while also destroying the inner dimension, making it useless.

Fighting style: She use her guns together with her feruchemical zinc to create something similar to gun kata, where she analyzes the stances of her opponents in order to predict the likely paths of their attacks in order to avoid them as well as to increase her accuracy. She also use her zinc to analyze her surroundings and come up with large numbers of strategies and switch between them.

Skills: Gun training, amateur level. While tapping zinc, this level will increase depending on the amount tapped. Intelligence, Intelligent. Again, while tapping zinc, this level will increase depending on the amount tapped. As a Kandra she has a decent knowledge of biology.

Weaknesses:

  • She isn't good at hand to hand combat, since her analysis doesn't work as well at those distances and because she has never received any actual martial arts training. She also can't create good predictions of her enemy's strategies since it isn't something that can be reduced to a physics or statistics problem.
  • Her hemalurgic spikes also allow people with strong enough emotional allomancy to take control of her. Her specific blessings making this easier than for normal Kandra.
  • She has been trying to avoid dependence on KoTiel's personality recently. While this helps stabilize her own personality and lower the effect of her blessings it also means she can't access KoTiel's skills, significantly impacting her skills with shapeshifting.

Personality: Tends to switch between two different personalities (not a case of split personality, see it more as multiple behavior sets), depending on the situation. The first is more soft-spoken, and tends to keep to themselves. She's also very curious in this personality and enjoy discovering new things. Her other personality is a lot harsher to other people and doesn't care much about others, showing little empathy and having no real problem hurting others. The multiple personalities come from the combination of her identity erasure spikes, trying to reconcile their pre-loyalty spike personality with their post-loyalty spike one, and trying to fit in with the other people in the DA. Recently these have started mixing more though as a result of them blocking out KoTiel's personality and memories and having time to start developing her own instead.

Relationships: Considers KoTiel a parental figure to her, though her opinions on them are somewhat complicated. Highly respects Mac and considers him to be her direct superior. Very close to Kumiko, though still trying to figure out how she feels regarding her.

Backstory: She was originally created by KoTiel after KoTiel got a spiritual bomb implanted in them. KoTiel created her by first making a mistwraith and then using essence spikes to erase its identity and transferring their own memories to it. The resulting Kandra decided to take the name KanMien and started to view KoTiel as a parent figure. After KoTiel died during the fight in the Den of Thieves she managed to get KoTiel's spikes and kept them as her inheritance. Not knowing where to go she decided to stay with the DA, although moving away from hemalurgic experiments, instead getting involved with the DoCI.
Later on she found Kumiko wandering through the alleys and decided to take her in, partially on a whim, as well as curiosity regarding her abilities. During the CoTW incident she helped defend the church, later arguing in favor of sanctions in the government debate on the incident. During the Plasmacore incident she helped mediate between the DA and TUBA, later also helping to fight against the invasion force, first by sniping the different monsters released and later fighting one of the Conquerors with a grenade launcher. Afterwards she decided to get rid of KoTiel's spikes, though she still kept them in her quarters as a reminder, and instead got a new Feruchemical zinc spike instead. She also looked into expanding her arsenal to be more useful in combat.

Guild: DA

Theme song: Sons of Amon, God Mode (combat theme). Nena + Kim Wilde, Anyplace, anywhere, anytime (together with Kumiko).

Kumiko:

Spoiler

Name: Takamine Kumiko

Epic name: Polygenetic

Gender: Female

Age: 18

Appearance: Has a Japanese appearance, and is around 5'2'' tall, with short, dark brown hair. She normally wears a blue sweater and a shorter skirt that's easy to move around in, together with combat boots. She normally also has some type of animal feature incorporated into her body. Generally these are a fox tail and ears. Wears a translator amulet in the form of a necklace.

Powers:

  • Animal Mimicry: When touching an animal she gets the ability to incorporate parts of it's appearance into her own body. When she does so she also gets the abilities of said animal. These abilities are based on the general perception of said animal, and don't need to correspond with the features of the animal she incorporates into her body. For example, including a fish would give her the ability to breath underwater and swim faster, but it still works even if she just changes her skin and adds webbing to her fingers. The abilities an animal gives also don't need to respond to their actual abilities. For example, including a fox or an owl would give intelligence based boosts, while said animals aren't noticeably smarter than other animals. The more well known and accepted a property of an animal is makes it easier for her to use it as well. A single form can be kept up indefinitely, and forms she's accustomed to can be kept up even when unconscious.
This ability also works with sapient non-human beings, but has a time limit in this case, with the form only being usable for a few hours after starting to use it, and the ability to use to form fading after about a day. To regain access to the form she has to make contact with another person of said species. The same also goes for beings created through magic, or having magic, such as through Hemalurgy. Using these forms requires more focus and energy than animal forms.
  • Myth Recreation: With preparation and a large amount of focus she's capable of temporarily upgrading a form, having it take properties from a mythological creature instead which results in more magical abilities. This only works if said creature is made up of animals she has already acquired. For example: If she has acquired a horse and an eagle she can use the forms unicorn (horse) and hippogriff (horse&eagle) but not griffin (eagle&lion), since she doesn't have a lion form. Using this ability will use up a lot of energy, with the amount of energy proportional to the power of the form. Using a form that is too powerful, or using one for too long will also overload her abilities, leaving her without them for a certain amount of time (amount of time depending on strength and duration of use of the form, minimum of one day, maximum can go up to a month for the strongest forms).
  • Animal Calming: Animals are more calm when close to her. This is a passive ability, with a fairly low strength. It generally allows her to get close to animals that would normally run away from or attack humans. It still has limits though, so trying to get close to a trained attack dog that has been ordered to attack her, or trying to get close to a hungry lion would still end badly. It's power also scales inversely to the intelligence of the animal. It doesn't work on beings with human level intelligence, with a Koloss being the maximum level of intelligence that can still be affected, all be it barely. Basically, this ability works by suppressing the instincts of animals, but it has a limit on how much it can suppress these instincts. This ability also only works on normal animals. Beings with a magical nature (like animals with symbiotic spren bonds) aren't affected by this ability, and other abilities affecting animals will override this one.

Combined 80 points according to the last evaluation by Voidus.

Weaknesses:

  • She has a spinal cord injury that makes it difficult for her to walk. While it has healed to some degree thanks to copying the abilities of the Phoenix she still can only walk short distances and isn't able to run. Her powers allow her to move around normally, but only while she is using a form. If her powers are ever disrupted she has trouble moving around.
  • Overusing her powers for too long will temporarily disable them, with the duration of them being disabled depending on the level of overuse. Overuse happens when using multiple forms at the same time, using a form based around a sapient being, or using a form that is based around a magical animal.
While overusing her abilities keeping up her forms will cost a large amount of stamina, with the amount depending on how strongly she's using them, and running out will trigger the powers being disabled. Using Myth Recreation will cause her powers to be disabled afterwards regardless of how long she uses the ability.
  • She's still extremely inexperienced with Myth Recreation (not helped by a poor knowledge of mythology), greatly limiting the amount of forms she can use and how much power she can get out of them.
  • She dislikes humans. Generally the only sapient beings she gets along with are non-human ones, and even then it takes a while for her to get along with them. Because of this she's also bad at working together with people, and generally tries to do things alone instead.
  • She has a very poor grasp on the language spoken in the Alleycity and relies on a translator amulet instead.
  • Epic Weakness: Being in a motorized vehicle. About the only vehicles that don't trigger her weakness are bicycles and boats, and even then she only uses them when she absolutely has too. Getting in one will disable her powers, and give her a panic attack. Even bicycles require a lot of willpower to use without having a panic attack, making boats the only vehicles she uses, and even then it's only rarely.

Skills: Intelligence, smart (15). Scholarship, animals, amateur (10). hand-to-hand combat, skilled (30).

Personality: She tends to rely a lot on her instincts, instead of thinking things through, and tends to display more animal-like behavior at times. She also dislikes humans, and sometimes has issues fitting in with normal society. Non-human sapient people tend to make her feel confused, but she's capable of getting along with them. She generally doesn't respect people weaker than her, and tends to live in the moment, not caring about any consequences of her actions. Dislikes being in crowds, and enjoys walking in nature, or empty cities. She's generally regarded as a bit of a problem child.

Relations: Her parents died when she was a kid. Very close to KanMien, though she's still trying to understand exactly what she's feeling about her.

Backstory: When younger she got into a car crash, and the event ended up causing her serious injuries, including a damaged spine, as well as killing her parents. Because of this she ended up staying in the hospital even after recovering, where she spend most of her time reading about animals. When calamity rose she initially stayed in the hospital, till she came along a black cat. Petting it, she found out about her abilities, and that they let her walk again. After this, she ran off and decided to find as many animals as possible. Eventually she found a way into the alleycity, and joined up with the DA after finding one of their members and discovering that they weren't human.
During the CoTW incident she helped defend the church against the attackers.
During the Plasmacore incident she was present during the initial presentation using a disguise, getting out together with the other rookie members when things went south. Afterwards she worked together with Whisper to investigate the building, later entering it when the shield malfunctioned. When the Phoenix attacked she attacked it, fighting with it for a while until something called it away. During the fight she also managed to copy it's abilities, it's regeneration partially healing her spine, but the strain from using myth-recreation knocked her out, causing her to fall unconscious and sit out the rest of her incident in her room recovering.

Guild: DA

Theme song: Iori Nomizu, Black+White. Nena + Kim Wilde, Anyplace, anywhere, anytime (together with Kumiko).

Additionally, Fragarach has been killed (not sure if that needs noting down?). Of the two characters, KanMien will need their point total recalculated, as there have been some changes in abilities and new equipment, so they might need changing if the points total doesn't come out low enough.

Alrighty, character update:

Jackal: Dead.

Thel: Demoted to special NPC

Walker: Continuing

Dusk: Continuing

Silva Rey: Continueing

Here is Kevin:

Spoiler

Kevin James

Investiture: None

Build: He is of average build, though is very muscular.

Age: 27

Skills: He is an expert marksman, very good with hand to hand fighting, and very good with small melee weapons.

Gear: He has the basic Special Incursion loadout, but has a large bowie knife strapped over his shoulder in a sheath.

Personality: He is a loyal soldier, who is kind, believes in the Precursors goals, with a strong belief in justice for all those who deserve it, though has problems with non-lethal action.

Weakness: Besides having absolutely no Investiture, he also has deep trauma from watching The Jackal kill his entire team, along with the events of The Rift Saga, in which his entire team was killed, again, and he witnessed Jackal, who he hated, fight against the invaders, then save Walker, and die, with Walker crying over it. This caused him to leave the Precursors, and gave him some tramua.

Backstory: He joined the Precursors almost immediately on Alleyplanet, when they were founded, and quickly rose through the ranks, being offered a choice between sniper, riot, and chaser positions in his regiment, chose the prior, and was then chosen for the second Special Incursion regiment when they were founded. He then participated in the Rift Saga, and Hunt for the Jackal, both of which detailed above.

Guild Affiliation: Rogue Precursor

Way early Mc labeled im 160 points, so as long as the trama 10 points, he would be good.

New character. Yeet

Spoiler

Name: Vincent D'Amato

Physical Characteristics

  • pretty ripped, and not with large and defined muscles, he is so giant that oftentimes he looks overweight

  • wide shoulders

  • Basically just a rectangle with legs

Epic Powers: His major Epic Power is just essentially Shardplate he can summon and dismiss, appearing to be made from shards and ragged blocks of obsidian. His second power is moderate regeneration. If you cut off his hand, it will grow back after about a day.

Skills: He is very skilled with handgun and rifle usage and he has taken many years of Krav Maga, currently ranking as a Blue Belt.

Equipment

  • 2 Sig Sauer M11-A1

    • RIP Ammunition

  • Remington 870 with beanbag rounds

  • Stun grenades

  • Tactical crossbow

Weakness: His Epic weakness is ballistic gel, so if you were to attack him ballistic gel bullets would be optimal. Due to his childhood concussion, he is now very sensitive to bright lights and his senses of taste and smell are sorely weakened. Otherwise, he is a very brusque individual, and not many besides his sister can emotionally connect with him.

Family: Parents are in a nursing home, and being taken care of by his older brother. His sister, Verona, is also an Epic and currently resides with him in the Alleyverse.

Home Planet: Reckoners Earth

Backstory:  Vincent was born in New York City, deep within Little Italy. His family had dealings with the Mafia, and thus he grew up in a dangerous place. When he was a little child, during a weapons deal he was watching, like the curious child he was, a block of ballistic gel was thrown at his face by the mobster dealing with his father, knocking his head back into the wall and giving him a concussion. He woke up a few minutes later with a permanent loss of smell and taste, along with a vulnerability to bright lights. Many years later, when he was in the deployed in the ‘Stans, Calamity rose, giving him powers of strength beyond his greatest desires and the healing to stop almost any wound. However, these new powers brought terrifying nightmares, harkening back to his childhood. Eventually, he decided that serving under High Epics was enough, and so he left his world behind, going on a journey with his sister to find a place where they could be free of the Epics. One day, [insert way to travel to the Alleyverse]. They have now been there for a few years and have settled into their new lives wonderfully.

Guild: The UnInvested

Psyche: Pretty stable, but sometimes he just attacks people if he gets angry.

Personality: Not the most kind person, but not overtly rude either. He is very tough on people who cause harm to others for their own enjoyment. He fights because it is right and because it is what he needs to do.

Appearance

  • short brown hair
  • olive skin
  • dark blue eyes
  • rectangle face
  • rectangle body

Theme Song:  None yet.

Fighting Style: If he can, he’ll use ranged weapons, but is also good up close.

Let's see how he holds up to scrutiny. I'll get his sister done soon.

TIME FOR AN OP CHARACTER BIO

Legend:

Spoiler

Name: Legend (AKA The Survivor, The Dragon Reborn, Voidus, other)

Appearance: Six foot, dirty blond hair, light brown eyes. Usually wears a mistcloak and a tight black t-shirt and pants. Quite a few scars on each arm.

Investiture: Mistborn, Electrum Ferring

Skills: Skilled in hand to hand, skilled in melee weapons.

Equipment: Bag of coins, glass and obsidian knives

Weakness: Mental issue makes him easy to manipulate. Ego can also be manipulated.

Family: Dead

Home PlanetScadrial

Backstory: Born in the Elendel Basin as a bastard half-noble child. The father tried to pretend the mother didn't exist, but eventually killed her, at the wife's insistence. They never got charged for the crimes. The father had also beaten him half to death, and he had snapped, though he hadn't known this yet. He lived on the streets as a beggar, and he was extremely unstable. He had mild hallucinations, and was prone to fits of violent rage, though he wasn't large so they didn't do all that much. At thirteen, he discovered he could burn pewter. He used this to get a job, carrying large objects. At fifteen, he discovered he was a twinborn, with the ability to store determination. He began to collect electrum, and stored it almost constantly for two years. One day, he discovered the noble, his father. He went into a fit of violent rage, and slew him with pewter, tapping determination. The house guards tried to kill him, but he managed to kill the first three. But then he ran out of pewter. He knew his father was a pewter misting, so he grabbed a vial of metal he saw, swallowed it, and burnt it. It was actually steel. As the blue lines appeared around him, he realized he was a Mistborn, and burnt the metal to shove the guards away, running. He was haunted by the murder he commited, and his already unstable mind shattered. He started to go truly insane, wandering aimlessly, having wild hallucinations, ranting at the sky, barely even caring to beg or drink. Then, one day, at eighteen, he wandered into a church of the survivor. He heard them talking about the Survivor, how he had blond hair, brownish eyes, scars on his arms. He looked down, saw that his arms had been scarred, from the attack on the mansion and the year he had been wandering. And then they said that the Survivor was a Misborn, and he would return someday. And they had convinced his mind that he was Kelsier, the Survivor of Hathsin. He stayed at the church, learning everything he could. Then he left, and spent five years hunting nobles with his misborn power, helping "Skaa" in the fields. Eventually, he accidentally joined a worldhopper group. He traveled through the worlds, but continued hunting nobles, in the forms such as lighteyes and elantrians. He did this for three years, then found himself in the Westlands (the WoT world). He wandered it, and began hearing stories of the Dragon Reborn, who would return, and had magical powers. He became convinced... he was the Dragon Reborn. He went into the area of The Blight, hunting the Dark Ones creatures, for he was the Dragon Reborn. He almost died there multiple times, and eventually left the planet, finding himself on the Alleyplanet. There he convinced himself that he was Voidus. But then Voidus was released. He wandered, mind broken without a legend, until a mental hospital took him in. They named him Legend, because of his issue. He didn't acknowledge them. Eventually, they brough him priests. One of them was a Survivorist, later. It convinced him again that he was the Survivor. He broke out, and now roams the Alleyverse, and will soon go back to killing nobles.

Guild: Unaffiliated

PsycheAverage intelligence, though this is less obvious due to his mental issues. Incredibly egotistical.

Mental Issue: A form of bipolar disorder, it makes him find any connections between himself and a legendary figure. If he finds enough, he thinks he is the legendary figure, and this causes him to act as the legends say they did, and actually think he is that figure. If someone makes up a legend, they could convince him to act that way. If someone alters a legend that he already believes, then he will follow this altered legend. Usually thinks he is the Survivor.

OP traits

Intended Threat Level: Group threat, if the legend he thinks he is would dislike them

Story purpose: Allows a somewhat accurate representation of legends, a fairly powerful threat to characters, but easily manipulated away. Also allows very unique experiences, either for someone who believes Legend's perception, or from someone who knows it a lie but doesn't want to upset him.

Benefit: Fun RP, an opportunity to fight a Mistborn, seeing how characters react.

Foible: Not incredibly powerful, has to follow rules his legend would follow, like defending the lowborn, being a force of pure good, etc.

Modus Operandi (How do they fight / scheme? What is their plan?): Fights with his powers, primarily, but if those fail will attack with swords and hand to hand. Schemes only to accomplish goals the legend would have, but doesn't do them that well.

could you put this up on a poll?

Here is Kevin:

Skilled in Hand to Hand Combat = 30

Skilled in Melee Weaponry = 50

Expert in Marksmanship = 80

Equals to about 160 points, subtract 15 for the weaknesses gives 145 as a total. Nice character, approved :)

Quick note that the poll is up for Legend at the top of this thread.

personally would have preferred if you'd waited until I had addressed concerns.

As always people can request a mod to change their vote if they alter their decision. Also just a reminder guys, please try to keep this thread free from discussion. Makes our job a lot easier when we don't need to hunt through posts to find the ones that are actual character requests.

Hey Mods! Not a priority, but can I get Grey approved for next Era? Normal Denizen restrictions apply outside of the Dark Alley.

Sorry, being that there are so many people doing this right now, and this can happen any time at all, but would ya'll approve Nuemark Bordeux and Damon for Era 4?

Spoiler

Name: Nuemark Bordeux

Investiture:  Knight Radiant: Skybreaker 4th ideal.

Special Skills and/or weapons: Sarcastic Spren, Darkathna. She turns into a 6 foot long straight blade, as broad as four fingers with an 'L' shaped spike on the tip, about 8 inches long. She has an elaborate cross guard, round, 6 inches wide, a perfect ring protecting the top of Bordeux's hand. Two 5 inch. upward tilting, quillion halves come up the side of the ring. Bordeux is skilled at fighting with his "Dark-blade".  Charismatic.

Age: 29

Weakness: Deaf in his left ear. Too trusting. Very strong moral compass (not always a weakness). Follows laws of his guild to the letter (as any skybreaker should).

Physical characteristics: Male, 6ft, 150 lbs, jett black hair, worn close cropped, icy blue eyes. Upturned nose. Arched eyebrows. Athletic. Likes to where a dark, maroon vest with a dark black cravat, chocolate colored, button down  shirt, and black slacks with dark wingtips.

Family: Father, Mother, Brother, Brother, (Father and first brother disceased).

Home Planet: Roshar

History/Biography: Born 20 years before the Everstorm,  Nuemark Bordeux was raised mot knowing his father's secret heritage. His father was a Scadrian worldhopper who settled down with a dark eyed woman in Roshar and started a family. Nuemark was second of three sons. He grew up normally, if secluded to hide his eye color, not knowing about his bronze. He eventually ended up being pressed into the army when he was 17. He had dark eyes at the time and was a spearman. His father was pressed in at the same time, as was his older brother. They had to leave Nuemark's brother and mother unprotected, but sent a portion or thier pay back through mail.

He hated to kill as he did, but was compelled to do so as it was law, which his father had taught him to obey at almost all costs. The three of them were seperated under different command. Despite his dislike for killing, Nuemark became a very proficient fighter. It strained his sanity none the less.

They were soon posted to the shattered shattered plains and within a month of fighting, his father and brother both died in the same battle. He was devastated and lost his morals for some time, leaving cold skill and power, killing parshendi with such brutality and efficiency that he became quite infamous. He eventually found relief from his madness in following rules. Darkathna, who had been watching him for some time, then bonded with him and their relationship helped further with his sanity. The shattered plains campaign ended, and Nuemark had spoken all the ideals up to the fourth. He was released from duty. He checked in on his younger brother and mother, now running the farm quite well, and went off to the Alleyverse to seek a fortune for his family. He lost hearing in his left ear to one of those new-fangled explpsive devices from a friend named Damon.

Guild: Ghostbloods

Theme song: The 10th Man Down - Nightwish

Oaths:

Life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination.

I swear to seek justice, to let it guide me, until I find a more perfect Ideal.

I swear to the will and laws of the Ghostbloods. This is  my Oath.

I will seek out traitors and spys in my guild and bring justice to them, so long as Ghostblood leaders permit.

Moral compass restrictions:

He despises killing, and he nearly went insane from it while a soldier. This is constantly conflicting with the part of his morals which compel him, almost no matter the cost, to stop a deed of injustice if he sees one occurring. He will often have to carry out punishments. If he has to kill a murderer, his sense of duty usually comes through (though not always) but leaves him torn inside. He spares lives whenever possible. As he is a Ghostblood, you can see the complications created by his morals and oaths. He will often black out from guilt if he takes many lives and nurtures a deep hatred for assassin jobs.
