I forgot to check this thread entirely yesterday... :(

This post would've included my location, but I'm on the streets. Anyone fancy not killing me?

What faction was meta in?

EDIT: Ah! He was a blood tyrant. Did anyone notice his post after turnover? Or are we supposed to ignore it?

So a question for both Alv and Lopen, how come you're both in the pub?

Wasn't I supposed to go in the Pub? Alv, why'd you come here?

I went to the Pub to be scanned as I stated in thread.  No one said not to and by the time Lopen said he was going to the pub, I was on the golf course and away from the computer so couldn't change any orders.

Reproduced for your amusement (and because I don't want to bother rewriting the salient points) is the post I was going to put up before turnover, but never got the chance:

Just wanted to point out this post, since it didn't go in until after turnover and it is a fair point:

Amanda, you've been known to bus fellow Eliminators on quite a few occasions. It wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility for you to do the same here.

So you lynching a fellow eliminator is not necessarily an indicator of innocence.

If us Blood Tyrants lynch Sart and get lots of points then Elby could scan during this next Night and Day Turn. So she could scan her target and STINK.

That would be nice! Also, Sart, assuming I get on in time to post this. Which seems unlikely. But possible! I have hope.

This is how I think things might have gone (or at least what would have been the intent if Meta's plan was followed through):All faction members choose their headquarters as their first location. GAs are distributed evenly and can attack any player they desire. GAs attack an Evanescent, making that faction the lowest numbered and therefore the best to pursue in search of culprit. Neighborhood Watch and Blood Tyrants urge Evanescents to reveal themselves so they can discuss which is the culprit. Lynches from that point on are focused on that single faction, likely resulting with with the death of several innocents before the GA are found.

Okay. I can see this happening. I think it could have been avoided, but I can see how you would think that. Even so, I still think that Meta's other plan is much more of an advantage to the Villagers than this one was ever a detriment. That's the main reason why I believe he's innocent.

I recall him bringing it up multiple times.

Really? Can you give me one other time, please? I just honestly don't remember any other time he brought that up.

So my thoughts are that the agent is Meta. Meta seems to me to be really aggressive in how he is playing. It seem to me that he pushes the focus off himself by focusing on myself and Elodin. This makes me believe that Meta is most likely the agent.

As I've said before, Meta is always aggressive, because he knows he doesn't have time to waste with niceness when he's going to die soon. (Apparently by lynch this time, which is stupid in my opinion.) So aggressiveness is not an indication of alignment, in this case. Just saying.

My ability is Induced Radioactivity, not Reactive like I said. It's a manual trigger and supercedes any kill on me. I am immune to the explosion myself. My plan was to lynch all the GA then blow up every epic but me and win for the Evanescents... oh well.

First, this makes me irritated. That's beside the point, though.

Second, does that mean if someone else kills you at the same time as you set off your power, you won't die? Or will you? I'm confused by that.

So, I don't know who's coming in the Pub with me. I would stay that Lopen should come in only if Meta is almost certainly getting lynched. I can maybe scan Stink and Meta both, this Night and then the following Day, but I think three other people is a bit too much.

Okay. Last thing. About Meta. I'm really not sure why everyone's trying to lynch him. It makes sense that the GAs would want to lynch him, just because he's terrifying when good, and that way they wouldn't have to waste a kill on him. But why is everyone else voting on him? He was the one who proposed the plan that let us focus only on the GAs instead of both them and the faction war. Focusing on factions is the best way to lose the game to the GAs, hands down. I don't care whether there's backstabbing after the GAs are all dead. (I don't want there to be backstabbing, since I'm playing for the group win, but I accept that it'll probably happen.) But before? No. So definitely don't vote on Meta just because of his gang, only if you actually think he's a GA.

And I really doubt that, because as I said, he was the one who brought up the group win plan. He didn't have to. If here were an eliminator, no one would point fingers at him because he wasn't bringing up this plan, because they had no reason to think of it. No one would notice the absence of an idea, and the absence of this particular idea would be most ideal for the eliminators. Thus, I'm almost certain he's innocent, and am suspicious of everyone voting on him (and yes, Ada, that includes you).

There's my spiel. Now to just hope that I find wifi in time to post it before turnover ends... *waits nervously* If Meta dies this turnover and I don't get on until afterwards, I'm going to be very upset....

Waiting is annoying.

So, obviously, Meta died. He can be brought back, which I personally would like (although obviously it's up to those with that power to decide who they want to bring back).

Here's what I've got. Meta was an Epic. He told me he was a protection Epic, like a bodyguard, except only able to protect at night. The compensation for that is that he could self-target. We were going to try to make the GAs target him, but that didn't happen, obviously. They just used the lynch instead. (If you haven't noticed, I still believe he was innocent.)

As for the "reveal" to Lopen? That was almost certainly a gambit to try to get either Lopen to reveal as a GA, or for Lopen to reveal it to the thread for a reaction. And a reaction it did get, from SD. Just saying. Maybe I'm wrong, and it was a true reaction. But that's not what my instinct's telling me. Particularly when almost the same thing happened in LG16.

I do have enough points to scan, which is nice. And if enough points are donated, it's very possible that I'll be able to scan someone again during the day. So donate your points, people!

So, who should I scan, then? We have three choices. Alv, Lopen, or Stink. There seems to have been a bit of mix up in communication there, unfortunately, but that's too bad. We'll have to deal with that as it is.

Elbereth, could you PM me if you can? There's something that I would like to discuss with you.

...I would prefer that you donate your points to your Bank so that I or Clanky can perform more scans. But it's your choice, depending on the importance of the information. And if you don't have a Banker, that's fine, then.

I have points to spare.

Well your banker doesn't so maybe you should take that into account when considering points.

I meant that I would donate the rest of my points to my banker. I think that giving half of my points to someone else is pretty generous. Additionally, the information is important.

Oh, wait. Where are you, Clanky? The Pool is gone.

Also, I would vote that you scan someone random on the streets and not tell anyone else who, so the False Trails person can't block you.

I really think Meta is/was a GA. As far as his plan goes, he told me he was just trying to consolidate our gang so we'd stand a better chance and also that he wouldn't reveal he was an Epic like he said he would early on. He said some players might though if he suggested it.

Elby, since me and Meta are BT's and I lynched him, you should prolly have gotten about 8 points from me if he was a GA. How many points do you have?

Posted (edited)

Unless someone more pressing comes up, could I be scanned?

EDIT: Oh! And elbereth, it's night turn... I don't think you can vote.

Meta told me she PM'd him on Cycle 2.

That's interesting. So, Danosaur is one of my Captains. I PM'd him on cycle two and asked him to PM PK to find out who all our subordinates were. On the same cycle he told me that Meta PM'd him, saying that he is a Blood Tyrant and assumed Dano was as well, since they had both gone to the City Hall. So let's look at the possibilities of Meta both being able to PM Dano and Elby in the same cycle:

  • Meta is a Sneaky Messenger. This means he would have been able to send a PM every cycle. Considering that PK was one, I do not think this is the case. However did anyone else receive PMs from him on uneven numbered cycles?
  • Meta spent 5 points to create an extra, one-cycle long PM. Based on the calculations I made this is impossible.
  • Meta is an Epic with the ability to create multiple PMs. I don't believe this, let alone that he is an Epic at all. It is an extremely useful bluff either as a villager or eliminator, and in my opinion any claim of it shouldn't be taken seriously.

So I'm leaning on either Elby lying (which I don't understand why she would because the Bankers are supposed to be guaranteed loyal - @Mailliw, that is how it works, correct? There can't be an evil Banker?) or Dano was.

I should also note something I didn't realize until I looked back at my PMs with Dano. When I asked him what his role was, he sent me, in quotations, basically the content of his GM PM. However the format of it does not match the one Mailliw sent me. I'll use a fictional example to illustrate what I got from Mailliw and what Dano sent me, and will ask anyone who reads this to confirm whether theirs was in the first format or the second.

One: You are a Ghostblood Stoneward. Your rank is Commander, your captains are: little wilson and Gamma Fiend.

Two: You are a Ghostblood Stoneward in the position of Captain. Your subordinates are: little wilson and Gamma Fiend.
