CURSE YOU ADAVANTOS

CURSE YOU AND ALL THE HALFLINGS

YOU MADE ME KILL ALVRON!

By the way, Adavantos didn't provide any reasoning for that vote. He just voted.

I didn't provide reasoning because I was out eating dinner and thus could do little more, but I will go ahead and clarify now.

First, I wanted to prove to everyone that our claim of being bondsmithed was true. I wasn't sure if me voting for no one would render it null. Another part of doing it last minute is that I didn't want an Ardent to mess with our votes. I'm not exactly sure which would take precedence but I didn't exactly have the time to ask as it was only something I realized within the last hour of the cycle.

Second, I don't agree with lynching Venture. That's two cycles in a row that he's been up for the lynch for no other reason than him being inactive, and all that's really done is stagnate discussion. Lynching an inactive gives us very little information (admittedly my choice wasn't much better) but at least in comparison we have more posts from him that we can analyze. Personally I think that if we're going to off inactives it should be left to the Cooks while we debate and kill targets that we honestly believe could be evil.

Third, I think that the Cook who poisoned Mail N1 and the Cook who poisoned me N2 are the same and that they are the Diagrammist. To me it makes the most sense, considering that this game we have been very contributed more than the majority of players, which does contradict their kills so far but maybe that's the point. Now, that doesn't mean Mail still can't be a Diagrammist and that the attempt on his life was the actual WGG (which I don't think anyone has brought up yet, which I find odd) but as of right now I'm leaning towards him being innocent.

I suppose I could have voted for a random player who wasn't up for the lynch to still prove the Bondsmith's really is alive, but as I've previously stated, I'm trying to get more information, not less, and thought it would be better to get a player who could be evil killed than two I think are good.

Plus I had a pet theory that the reason Hael was targeted was because he was on Alvron's list. I had expected the Diagrammists would have attacked another one of his "bounties" today, but I'm guessing the reason there was no kill is either because they were inactive this cycle or because they hit an Explorer/Elsecaller. I had thought they were either trying to frame Alvron barring better targets to assassinate or because Alvron was on their team so that in trying to frame him they were actually protecting him by framing him as it might get us to assume the former to be true and write him off.

So we had a scholar who forgot to scan and three cooks plus the diagrammists who forgot to attack or hit people exploring. Not to mention only 8 people voting. I guess everyone was busy seeing Star Wars yesterday except for me.  :(

I actually just watched it a few hours ago. It was very good.

Wow. Yet another bandwagon. I don't have the time now, but I plan to be looking over each cycle's last minute votes and try to see if I can put anything together from that.

Posted

I think the bandwagon is occurring because we don't know who to vote for. It's hard with so little information to make good judgements.

Anyways, I've got a question. Do scholars receive leadership roles? If so, that is information that is knowable and is verifiable so that we can tell if a scholar's scan is somewhat accurate.

Aonar or PK, want to confirm that?

The thing that's infuriating me at this point is that we don't know if we've made any progress. We may have killed half of the eliminators at this point, or none of them. Not having this information makes it difficult to analyze previous posts. I didn't think we should kill Venture, and I honestly just wanted to tie the lynch. Also, I appreciate that the cooks don't seem as trigger-happy this cycle.

I do not think the Scholars see positions, no. Otherwise PK would have said so yesterday.

Now that you've mentioned it, Adavantos, a WGG with Maill does seem very possible, actually. That particularly explains why a Cook would have targeted him, then, when it was specifically mentioned several times that Mail shouldn't die again on C1.

By the way, has anyone been tied together with Adhesion today? It's also possible that if the Bondsmith is still alive, he or she decided to create a PM instead (which does seem like the wiser thing to me personally).

I appreciate that at least one of the Cooks is going after inactives. Other than that, the results from this cycle were rather disappointing. I'd guess that the Diagrammists and at least one Cook hit an Explorer/Elsecaller, unless the entire Eliminator team has already become inactive, which seems unlikely at this point.

Aonar, have you gotten results back yet?

Nope. My Scholar's been online since the day's start. but they haven't yet informed me of anything. Hopefully they don't take too long to get around to it.

Well guys. I am kind of swamped with everything that isn't finals right now (those are easy), and it is clearly showing in my activity levels. I promise to at least throw a vote on somebody this cycle, so you guys can get a bit of a better read on me. I also would like to say that I was online last cycle a little bit and specifically chose not to vote for Alvron, so you can take that as you will.

There is no live scanners.

That frankly doesn't make sense, unless every single Scholar managed to claim to a Diagrammist, and the Diagrammists have a cook to kill those Scholars withing the first four cycles. Only seven people have died, you realize? So unless there are or were only two Scholars, that would mean that over half of the deaths have been Scholars. This seems very, very unlikely, unless you have more information. And I know you're a Runner, but since there aren't scan roles for the living you would have had to contact semi-inactives and get extremely lucky, and have them claim to you before you died.

Basically, what's your proof?

Posted

Oh, sorry, is that what you meant? I thought you meant all of the Scholars were dead. Sorry about that.

Okay, so do you have proof that Kipper and Aonar are eliminators, or is it just your personal belief? Even if you can't share that information, it would be good to know it exists.

Posted

I should have phrased my question better. Are you saying that just because it is your suspicion or that of other people you are in contact with, or do you have information that most people are not aware of?

Posted

Well, there isn't really any proof this game. So no proof.

Then, to be honest, I'm not going to bother responding to your accusations. If you aren't even willing to formulate a logical argument supporting your position, then I'm not going to bother trying to refute it. Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur.

To be even more honest, I'm having trouble getting in to this game. Nothing against the GMs, or the other players, but I've yet to get a really solid handle on what's going on, and I'm having trouble staying really interested in events. I'll be sure to report my Scholar's results once they're told to me, and I'll try to gather my thoughts to get coherent suspicions down relatively soon, but don't expect too much.

Basically this. Stink, even from you, I'm used to seeing more actual reasons...so I'm not sure what the deal with this is.

In other news, my Scholar has finally gotten in contact with me, and apparently the scan result was that Mace Windu was a Ghostblood Bondsmith. Make of this what you will. Now I really need to sleep.

Okay, we need to actually get to discussing things this cycle. I don't want a repeat of yesterday. I'm going to start off with Creccio. You had no reasoning for voting for me, so care to explain that further?
