I've finished the main story line for Kingdoms of Amalur, so I'll probably put another few hours in doing other stuff and then move back to playing Civ V or something.

Is Civ 4 good? I have that one but rarely play RTS

I've played both Civ 4 and Civ 5.

Purists and old fans' opinion --> Civ 4 is one of the best in the series.

My opinion (for someone new to the series) ---> Civ 5 is better than 4.

One major difference is that, one cannot stack units on one tile in Civ 5. In Civ 4, you can. AI usually stacks many units on one tile. Also, the AI in Civ 4 is better than one in Civ 5 (my opinion).

One trivia :- The personalities in Civ 4 are not as good looking (except Catherine of Russia) as they are in Civ 5. Catherine and Theodora are my favourites in Civ 5.

One tip :- Don't mistake Gandhi for being what he actually was.

I prefer Civ V to Civ IV as well, personally, but they are both very good. My general recommendation would be to get Civ V if you are choosing between them, but IV is definitely not bad.

Plus, right now the Steam sale is going on (until January 4, I think), so Civ V (plus all the expansions and DLC) is 75% off. I think you can get the full package for $13, which is probably competitive with Civ IV

I've put a lot of time into both, and I prefer V (with expansions) as well. I hated the unit stacking in IV, and the trade routes and cultural victory are another two fantastic improvements. Vanilla V is probably worse than IV, but I bought V complete so I've never compared if that way.

I got myself Bayonetta and it is glorious and so over the top I lack words. Now I shall brutally beat up a couple more angels...

I've been playing destiny and the new starwars battlefront and having some fun but I feel like I am just waiting for the next update to dwarf fortress and the lazy noob pack so I can play again.

Destiny is fun and quite addicting. I'm still playing it as my number 1 game everyday since it released in sept 14'. Bayonette is a fun game. I'm still pissed B2 is a Wii U only game. That was a huge mistake on their part cutting out fans with PS/Xbox only.

Grabbed Endless Legend from the Steam sale. Considering I sunk 22 hours into it this past weekend, I can't say I regret the decision. Not sure how it hasn't built up a strong community though, it's just Fantasy!Civilization.

I was actually just looking at it this morning

I was actually just looking at it this morning I'm interested in it, but don't feel quite like buying another game yet.

I definitely recommend it. Though I called it Fantasy!Civ, it's so much more unique than Civ, with each faction actually having different gameplay mechanics rather than different bonuses. Plus there's an RPG element thrown in. It's been a blast, and between the 9 different factions (including the 1 from DLC), as well as randomized maps and the like, the replayability is sky high.

But if 4X games aren't your thing, don't get it. At it's core, it's an empire management game. The combat is very basic, and leveling up your units only gives either combat bonuses or city/empire bonuses. But it's also a good game for a fantasy junkie to get into the 4X genre.

If you look on the Steam Community, there's a 10 minute review posted by one of the users that covers pretty much everything there is to say about the game. He goes a bit fast, but then again he was already at the 10 minute mark.

I could write them all out, buts its too long.

The main thing is pricing and content.

I just started Dishonored and I'm a little overwhelmed with possibilities (I'm on the first assassination mission). I just caught myself on reloading the game past few hours 'because I could do that the other way!'. I have to choose a style of playing and stick to it. On one hand, I really like the stealth aspect, but on the other hand I don't want to do two 'stealth runs' (since I'll probably do one for the ghost/clean hands achievements). I like sniping people, but it won't be the 'high chaos run' since I do silent non-lethal take-downs whenever I can. Any help?
