When you misread Converse as Cosmere... repeatedly. Then wonder if there is a secret line of Brandon Sanderson footwear which only other sanderfans can recognize.

When you look over at the book your classmate is reading and recognize the interior of The Way of Kings by the graphic and large first capital letter at the beginning of a chapter. (True story!)

When you're reading a steampunk mystery novel and answer the characters' questions of "why is this part of town so crime-ridden?" with a lookup of Marasi's whole speech about the broken windows thing.

She would've been very upset by how the police force in that book handled itself.

When you tell your aunt you're feeling down and her first response is to look up "cosmere memes" and text you 20. She doesn't even read Cosmere!

I think most of those memes originated from our meme thread.

Undoubtedly. This thread and the corresponding Memes thread are the sources of like 90% of all Cosmere memes in existence

When you make notations all over the margins of your cosmere books, about all the connections and behind-the-scenes stuff.

When you use Jasnah killing the thugs as a discussion scenario in philosophy class, and then quote Nohadon to ague your point.

When your teacher's name is Mr. Wax and you can't help but imagine how much cooler your engineering class would be if you had a twinborn lawman as a teacher.

And a student teacher with certain affinity for hats...

When you wonder if your school would be socially accepted in Alethkar (it's STEM. not quite arts, meaning not quite "feminine", but neither is it "finding someone to stick a spear in you" or any modern sporting equivalent)

And instantly think that they'll make hair dyes that respond to emotion next, then *everyone* will have the royal locks

Humph

*scrolls down* *sees that it made by the Unseen* 0_0 Ehm... I'm not sure I really trust that hair dye all that much, they seem a bit... hateful.

When you seriously wish that Brandon was a bendalloy misting so he could write all his books much faster.

Although I suppose a simple time machine would work too...

When your friend keeps saying, "Merciful!" when she loses at cards and in your head you complete the phrase, "...Domi!"

You know you're a Sanderfan when someone asks for fandom-related name suggestions for their new cat and you immediately start trying to think of a Cosmere character who fits the cat's personality and appearance.
