When one of your college classmates recognizes you from a Sanderson signing and asks if you're a member of the Shard.

Don't forget the aons. I often draw them simply because they tend to be easier.

Aons are really fun. I especially like Ehe. The Surges are near-impossible to draw, though.

Like when your friend is chocking and you pat him on the back and say

"My life to yours,  my breath become yours."

That sure doesn't look like near-impossible to me. I only wish I could draw things that well.

My problem is I can't remember what such complex symbols look like exactly, so I need a reference to draw off...and drawing off a latop doesn't look so great in class (besides the fact I actually do work in class) so I tend to stay with things I remember.

Hey! Those were from multiple classes after I'd finished the homework.

I needed a reference to draw almost anything. I can draw some Aons without, the Surges definitely need a reference.

When you realize one of your best friends is Lift.

She literally says: I'm going to eat your lunches.
And she's small and dark skinned. She's Lift, people.

The one Worldhopper no one suspected... not WalDo, not Hoid, but Lift.

My friend's 18th birthday party was last night and it was mostly Sanderson-themed. Most of the gifts he received from his family were the new posters of the star systems (like, all of them) and a few other art pieces. We started to set up the Mistborn Adventure Game for playing later* (SO EXCITED). He had party favors with little plastic slinkies, bugs, and bubbles with a quote attached: "I've always been confident in my immaturity." My friend is awesome.

*on a side note, one of my friends has never read Mistborn. Was anyone else in this situation, and what did they/you get questions about the most?

When none of your friends have actually read the Stormlight Archive (or any of the cosmere books at all, in most cases bar one), but they all know about the stick. And whenever one of you wears boots, someone says 'I am offend. You will apology with boots.'
I have trained them well.

This reminds me of my friend and I. If ever we run out of things to say, we immediately fall back on "rutabaga", and she hasn't even read Alcatraz. It's become our new hello.

Speaking of my friend...
You know you're a Sanderfan when you and a friend have fun by rearranging David's metaphors, then realize that Kaladin is porridge made of bricks and Dilaf is a mine in a potato field.

Continuing in my adventures in Sanderson-symbol doodling, I have taught myself how to draw the Friction Surge!

So my sister wanted me to post this one

Quote

You know you're a sanderfan when two of your cats are named Kaladin and Hoid.

And I decided to post this one as well.

You know you're a sanderfan when your first reaction to hearing your sister has finished Mistborn 1 is to grab her in a bear hug, and then drag her away to talk about *SPOILERS* for the next half hour.

She's making me so proud!

When you're reading something (like Powder Mages Trilogy - I recommend) and looking for behind the scenes stuff. Then you go online and realize that there's nothing...

Cosmere broke me so hard :<

When you're trying to work out if a piece of yarn is number 4 colour (chalk) or number 18 (ice cube) and immeadiately think this would be a lot easier if you had a whole load of Breath.
Seriously, they are so similar its not funny.

Edgedancer spoilers

When you've read something funny that Lift does in Edgedancer and you laugh and say "never change, Lift".

Then you get really sad...

My mom is reading AU. She has read Emperor's Soul earlier but now reads it again and she commented that now she notices more things: she asked me about Shai's Uncle and Aunt (since they're not real, she thought that Shai has Stamped herself and was confused since Soulstamps don't work longer than 26 hours).

I explained and then said:

"You have missed one more thing, in the beginning. Remember the Imperial -"
"No, I didn't miss anything."

Makes me proud with Hoidspotting :)

My friend is reading Way of Kings, he didn't know what cosmere was when i asked, so i advised him NOT to google it, until he finishes WoR.

He have read Warbreaker already.

Dis gonna be gud! :D

Unfortunately I can't get anyone apart from this friend to read Sanderson :(

Back to the topic, you know that you are a Sanderfan, when you quote Way of Kings to someone who feels uncertain and fearful about his/her exams.

What quote did you use? I can think of several that might work :D

Well, in our conversation "Journey before Destination" was fitting perfectly, so i just couldn't omit it.

What would be Yours? (You know that you are a Sanderfan when you want to memorise some of his quotes to use them in everyday life :D)
