    So your saying burning atium only allows you to see into the spiritual realm? That it has no other properties?

    OK so I checked it and I don't think its possible. According to the storm light wiki Dalinar sought the old magic after his wife died in 1163. The current year in WOK is 1173, so 10 years before, and lift is 12 I think

    It might be possible. By the time we find out about her past Brandon will have explained the cosmere in a lot more depth, and that might explain crossovers between the stories, and make it plausible.

    I saw a theory somewhere that theorizes that lifts dad is an aimian. So if that is true then it could explain her wish to never change (aimians are said to have the ability to change their appearance). And it could be a possibility that as a side effect of her repressed abilities manifested in other ways (like being able to see spren and turning food into storm light).

    Welcome! Fellow newbie/cookie taster here coming to warn you to not under any circumstances eat the cookies (its ruined my life). No but seriously the people here in this community here are so nice its creepy. (I like to picture them as the witch in Hanzel and Gretel who acts nice while giving you candy/cookies only with the intent on eating you).

    I used to be a bridgeman like you, then I took a shardblade to the knee. Why does a shardblade need to be so long? Well he has to compensate for something. Like when you find out that you pronounce jasnah's name yasnah and not jassnah and you realise your life is over. (This actually happened to me)

    OK so I've seen the Rithmatist section and what I meant by everyone forgets it is that if you ask someone what books Brandon wrote most people leave Rithmatist till the end (or not at all). As for the short stories I've been looking on Brandon's site almost daily for the past year and a half so Im good there. Thanks for all the support you guys are so nice to new users its almost creepy(does this have to do with the cookies I shouldn't be accepting?)

    Yes for some reason Rithmatist is always forgotten and it's a shame since is my favorite ya series by Brandon (yes more then steelheart)
