Kasimir he/him Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 When you're in physics lecture, your lecturer asks the cohort why there's sixteen terms in the metric, and your immediate impulse is to call out, "Because Leras was here!" 3
Elithanathile he/him Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 (edited) This doesn't have much to do with being a sanderfan, but I both have to post, and hate to post, that before this post, the number of posts in this thread was "1234." Which even adds up to 10, the number of orders of KR. Just sayin'. Edit: Something that does make someone a sanderfan is when you're in a debate in a live online class, and you start suspecting someone of being a spy for the other team, and start voting to lynch them. king of nowhere Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Today I discussed my PhD thesis, and got formally appointed. That has been the only thing that has kep me from getting BoM immediately two days ago. Now I just came back from the ceremony. The first thing I did was sending a mail to a dear friend I haven't seen in a while, but now I will immediately buy it and the secret story too. My plan was to start reading immediately, but I got sick and so now I will sleep. Now, if I had any sense, I would delay getting the books until after I finished with moving away from the country and back to my old one, but there's no way I'm not going to spend reading any free moment I have left. Not buying BoM three days ago and reading it at the expence of my performance today already took some willpower. And now, less that three days later, I've been one day around with a friend that I won't be seeing in a long time, I helped load the car, I've traveled to several offices to deal with all the paperwork entailed with moving to another country, but I still managed to finish both books. And I went to post about it.
The Invested Beard Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 When you hang out on the 17th Shard forums too much during down time at work... Yeah I should probably find something constructive to do but I work for the County so...

WayneSpren he/him Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 (edited) When you get irrationally angry about something really stupid and you wonder whether there is a Rioter hiding in your closet. That's the funniest thing I've read all day. When someone refers to Vin Diesel as "Vin" and you immediately think they're talking about the Mistborn books. I've actually done that. They said, "Let's watch The Pacifier, starring Vin!" I said, "Well, Elend is important too." O.o Edited February 8, 2016 by WayneSpren 2

Moonskin she/her Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Yesterday, I received a letter from my bookshop telling me that Bands of mourning - that I order last month - was not available. I went to the shop today, thinking it was a mistake, but ... there is absolutely no exemplary available in the whole Switzerland ! the providers ran out of copies the very week following its launching ... And now I know we are indeed a lot of Sanderfans in Switzerland! (and I could get my hands on the last copy of Calamity instead, which brightens my day )

Oversleep Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 (edited) When you read news about "Arcanum Unbounded" and go "uh-oh" because publisher wanted to publish "Emperor's Soul" in June and you bet they have no idea about "AU". Somebody has to tell them.Seriously, why I always end up as the person who is responsible for telling them they got something wrong? I'm almost sure that "WoR" second run is postponed because I send them an email pointing out various mistakes (like Diagram code being wrong) and informing about changes Brandon made. They could at least offer me a discount or something Edited February 14, 2016 by Oversleep
