You'll be hospital bound for 16 hours though, that would suck :(

You know when your a sander fan when the number 16 immediately makes you think of a half dozen different cosmere related things.

You know you're a sanderfan when one (of the many) friend to whom you advise to read The stormlight archives writes you in the middle of the night because he thinks he's spotted his first worldhopper in Mistborn :P

You know you are a Sanderfan when you think this is a fair trade. 16 hours in the hospital for hopefully some really cool super powers.

Of course you could end up an aluminum gnat...

Update: I've decided to miss the lectures so I can attend the signing. So excited! :D

When you're stargazing and consider all of the satellites and planes and things to be starspren.

I was doing this during the meteor shower this summer! I even mentioned it to my family that was with me, but they basically said "Going a bit far with the references, Ess," so yeah. :P

Nice choice of quote, I can't think of a better person to quote from. :P

When you can't think of a name for a town while playing Werewolf, so you just call it Hearthstone.

. . . And laugh so hard on the inside, when you see the one guy in the class who's read Stormlight go:

When you're buddy tells you he'll be on Bloomberg next Friday talking about zinc and it's crazy 10% increase in price...and you ask him if he's a Rioter or just trying to corner the metals market.

When the Inquisition takes on new meaning.

In other news, I recently read a book where the policemen-like figures were called Inquisitors. Naturally, I was expecting them to be... different.

My friend is trying to write a graphic novel for two three years (damnation, so long), but because he is "a little bit" lazy there are no pictures and very little plot yet. There is something called "the inquisition", but it is something between medieval inquisition, legal police and black magic wielders... Not so much different to Mistborn Inquisitors.
Probably I shall force him to read Mistborn...

Oh, and you know, you're a sanderfan when you are ripping your hair none of your friends is reading Sanderson-

The Tenth Anniversary edition contained a little Cosmere-relevant scene at the end.

You shouldn't need to buy it, though. It's only a couple of pages. You could read it in the bookstore.

I was studying for a chemistry exam, when I read "Lews Therin catalyzed ..." before realizing that it doesn't make any sense. I had to go back and look again to find out that it actually spelled "Lewis acid catalyzed"

They don't sell it here, I have to actually mail order :(

That sucks. You can ask your local library to get it. Or you could just get the updated version, which also has a better Ars Arcanum.

I just realized. I am naughty, because with the Alcatraz series, I accidentally skipped the book that tells you off for skipping books in a series.

(I went back and read it after though)

Alcatraz teached me not to read the end of books. And yes, I did that before. I was a very bad person.
