The Voiceless One he/him Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Can sharing such light count as Evil? If it does, would Nightblood want to destroy it? 3

My regular search bar doesn't even do that, and yet the 17th Shard search bar does. Seriously, can somebody change that? I'm pretty sure the "17th Shard" spellchecker is really just your browser's spellchecker. Also if you right click on a word you can add it to the dictionary. At least in Chrome you can. I don't know about Firefox.

I wouldn't. A paladin isn't someone who can sense evil, it's someone who's very "good" and an example for others. Kaladin's often considered a pretty good fit, though he's a bit too grumpy for the archetype. 1

You are playing the guitar, and someone asks: “who’s playing the guitar?” You scream back: “It’s not a guitar, it’s a storming enthir! Airsick lowlander!” Another friend, who you didn’t know has read the Way of Kings, asks: “Then why are you strumming it?” You are stupified. You look at a clock, but think “time fabrial” instead. Text messaging is now considered communication via spanreed. You start to write music based off of how awesome you think it would be as background music for the Cosmere books. You really want to write a Cosmere fanfiction, but you realize that the information you want to write about has already been canonized and written by Sanderson. Your autofill search options on Google are “Oathbringer,” “Kaladin Stormblessed,” and “Brandon Sanderson.” When you stop your toe, and act like the world is ending. A friend walks in and says, “Oh, quit being so melodramatic.” So you stand up, seize them by the arms, and scream in their face: “THINK ABOUT HOW INSENSITIVE YOU’RE BEING! IF I WAS AN ELANTRIAN, WOULD I BE MELODRAMATIC?!?!” You have literally annotated Cosmere books by choice. (Don’t worry, they’re eBooks. I would never write in a physical copy of a book by choice. *shudders*) You’ve spent more time on the 17th Shard than actually talking to people. Human interaction is overrated. A friend has literally had to yell at you because you keep on trying to get them to read Sanderson books. They tell you to let it go, but that just makes you think of the song “Let it Go.” You realize that Elsa is the “one with the wind and sky.” Elsa, are you a Windrunner? Disney, how could you have kept this from us?!?! Come to think of it, all of the disney princesses with magical powers could be Surgebinders... Elsa — Windrunner Rapunzel — Edgedancer Moana — I don’t know, but there’s gotta be something... You start to relate other characters from different books and movies to the orders of the Knights Radiant. Hermione Granger is a total Elsecaller. Jason Grace is either a Windrunner or Skybreaker. Clary Fray is a Lightweaver. Etc, etc, etc... You and your Sanderfriends (did I just coin a new term?) have hour long discussions about Sanderson themed Halloween costumes. Everyone just keeps posting totally normal things. Doesn't everyone do these things? 2
AonEne he/him Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 Well, yeah, of course it's all normal. This page is mostly just to show off how storming normal we all are. The most normal people in existence. That's us. But by the way, the first person that you quoted hasn't been around for over two years. And you really shouldn't triple (or double) post when out on the forums. In PMs it's usually okay, but the mods will get angry at you for doing it here. 4

It's not necessary for a paladin type.

+robardin he/him Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 I was walking down Eighth Avenue in Manhattan just south of Columbus Circle, and saw this convenience store offering what must be a worldhopping imported item, straight from the undiscussed North or South Polar regions of Roshar! 7

I wonder if icecrem was made by the same people that created that crem coffee stuff I posted here a while back. Zath he/him Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 You know you're a Sanderfan when you really want to get a job at your local library just so you can pull something like this...Sidles up to a random library patron, looks around suspiciously, then slips patron a copy of "Alcatraz vs. the Evil Librarians", whispers, "Shhh! I'm an agent from the Free Kingdoms, sent here to the Hushlands on an infiltrate-and-inform mission. Read this. It will open your eyes to the Librarian conspiracy. ...And also the Great Kitten Conspiracy. If anyone asks, you didn't get the book from me." winks, then says in a louder voice, "Checking out a fantasy book? Well, you can't believe anything you read in there, can you?" winks again "None of it's true, absolutely none of it. There's no knowledge in there that could undermine a non-existent cult of evil Librarians -- which, as I mentioned, doesn't even exist." winks a third time "Enjoy your fantasy book, random library patron!" caaaaasually walks away 13
