You Know You're a Sanderfan When...

YKYASW you are in a bookstore and some dude mutters about where the Brandon Sanderson books are and you do an internal happy dance and lead him straight to the correct shelves and have a little discussion with him. Turns out Brandon was recommended to him by a friend and he had read Skyward and was looking for Starsight.

Did... did you make an account just to say this?

If so... *applause*.

No, but it was my first post. Lol.

Also: You know you’re a Sanderson fan when you train yourself to say “scud”, “storms”, and “rust and ruin” instead of swearing.

When you see someone wearing a Sanderson related shirt but are too awkward to talk to them so you pretend to stub your toe and then yell "storm it" at the top of your lungs to get their attention.

Be assertive, and say 'You read Brandon Sanderson.'

No questions, just a statement, it puts you in charge of the conversation, and makes you seem more confident.

He turned around. I gave the most awkward smile you can imagine. Actually, probably worse. He said, "Don't slip on the crem," and walked away. I haven't tried it again since. :P

Why do I feel like there's a 50/50 chance they're actually on the Shard..

The side of me that wants a good story is like “DO IT AGAIN”

The side of me that wants a happy story is saying “just go talk to him”

Do what you want tho, this story has made me happy for the Sanderson expressions used
