I'd be interested in hearing someone else's analysis of my analysis bc I half feel like I'm seeing ghosts, half feel like everything just clicked into place.

I’d love to make an analysis where I analyze your analysis but according to my analyzation it is optimal for me to not stress about analyzing and that would require me to analyze an analysis of events I was not around to analyze an analysis of so I will not analyze your analysis into an analysis filled with analyzation 😔

Lol I go to my phone and the world blows up. I mean frankly @Booknewt, im happy to die though you're give reasons why im more likely to be good... and then say there are lots of reasons, those reasons being you can only find one post of Hoid defending Dive. I think your getting caught up in deepwolf worlds where I knowingly bussed a teammate almost certainly without their consent and im not a big fan of worlds where I do that. The simple answer is usually the right one.

Frankly, I think the evil team might be canabalizing themselves here? Its tough cause there's not a ton to go on but everyone is panicking they might die and the only village role that might feel that way is supervisor... and even then soooo

Argenti

IHAT/Lotus

I’m unsure what you’re trying to say here but I’m too sleepy to try to figure it out

This is your Friendly Neighborhood Observer State (entirely unrelated to your friendly neighborhood ISB traitor) signing off for the night

Yeah that's fair. I'm not sure if I'm deepwolfing or not, but there are a lot of worlds where it leads to you being elim. My guess is either you're an elim or Hoid Slayer is an elim, but I'm going back and forth there. I'll prob think about it for a little bit, might change my vote to Hoid Slayer given some pending dms.

Edit: Figured out the pending dms. I misremembered something and thought I had found another inconsistency, but turns out there wasn't one. About Hoid Slayer vs Fura - Hoid Slayer has more imminently obvious evidence, admittedly, and if I vote Fura my vote won't do anything whereas if I vote Hoid Slayer it will, and that's a max 1 turn delay on finding another elim, so I'm going to change my vote once someone else sends a message (pls someone send a message so I can vote bc no editing in votes)

Personally I think your logic comes down to either Im evil or Slayer is evil because one of us has to be lying about our messages. This isn't a true assumption as there can be multiple messages. Slayers message was weird but there are other possibilities than slayer being evil or me being evil for it.

Im a surveillance person. I scanned Hoid Slayer and got no action. This means they didnt submit a kill request last night and therefore I don't want them executed today. They could be evil but I wouldn't bet it today.

Rather, I'd like to execute one of the lesser active players that are frantically trying not to die.

*sigh*

Cant believe I’m helping someone vote me

But I did want to mention I just had a quick exchange with Fura and they’re reading more villa to me

Mostly vibes

Well, that’s kinda funny 😋

Yeah that's... fair actually. Lemme think about that. Also I forgot about the no action for Hoid Slayer, which is somewhat indicative.

Also I don't want to vote someone who just did that, bc would an elim really do that?

Going based purely off of feelings of posts and dms, I don't think either of you are elims, so lemme think about my logic for a bit.

Argenti(1): TwinStorm

Hoid Slayer(1): TOW

Twinstorm(2): Argenti, IHAT

Fura(1): Booknewt

IHAT(2): Fura, Doc

Vote Tally

IHAT (2) - Doc12, Fura
TwinStorm (2) - IHAT, Argenti
Fura (1) - Booknewt
Argenti (1) - TwinStorm
Hoid Slayer (1) - TOW
ACE (1) - Kas

I believe it's something like that.

edit: wow those went up right at the same time 😂

So, If I’m not wrong, votes-wise it’s a tie between me and Twinstorm with two each. Doc voting me makes sense, I did lie to him after all. Not sure about Fura though. Anyways, I’m still confused on who to vote, but like, considering it’s looking like I’m getting voted out, I’ll keep my vote on Twin for now, that way it at least makes it random. Anyone else gonna vote?

(believe it or not this helped me work through things without spinning into a loop. Enjoy some weird badly written rp reads. I'll put a translated version at the end.)

Reka Wismil leaned against the railing near the entrance to the ISB headquarters, head spinning. She had stepped outside to try to clear her head, to solve this puzzle. It wasn't working. None of this made sense. She turned her mind away from the tangle that was Kimrick Hammyr and Coming Later for now. What of the others?

Jasher Shea had not emerged substatively in two days, and would likely be replaced soon anyways.

If Hammyr was loyal, then so were Korun and Cal Kyte, since they had not warned Slane yesterday. Unless all three were rebels. No. The ISB could not be so corrupt. The rebels were a disease spreading throughout the galaxy, but it could not have spread so far into the ISB itself! Everything led back to Hammyr or Coming Later. But then, if Slane had been warned that Hammyr was betraying him, would he have given the technology either way? So no. Korun and Kyte are probably loyal to the Empire.

Johnny Kuplack. That one was odd. Seemed trustworthy at moments, seemed spooked at others. Then again, Jallo Delste
had been accusing him of being a traitor day after day, for little reason, like he had said. Could one blame someone for finally making an accusation back?

Delste himself has been very accusatory of Kuplack. I am not sure what that indicates, although it is certainly odd, particularly without any explanation. And then he had been just standing there sometimes, watching, but never saying anything.

And then there's Lotus. The center of suspicion at the moment, it seems, along with Kuplack. But both the votes on Kuplack are from suspicious people themselves, while one of the votes on Lotus is from someone who's almost certainly loyal and the other is unclear. Perhaps Kuplack was right, at least about Lotus and Delste, although i am unsure his analysis of Coming Later. Both of them are acting suspect, and it's possible that they panicked and both voted in self defense. Both of them have been accused, a majority has been near to being gained, but then the vote slips away from them as we question ourselves.

Besides, if I accuse Coming Later the vote is left to a three-way tie, and that is far too risky. And if I accuse Hammyr, my vote will mean nothing at all, as there is already a two way tie, and not close to being on Hammyr.

If I vote Hammyr I may be playing into the rebels hands anyway, for Hammyr has already exposed one rebel and may be a great asset to the ISB. And Coming Later claims to be the medic, and none have yet challenged him.

Yes. I will vote for Lotus.

Reka stood at the railing a few moments longer, watching the lights of nighttime Coruscant. This is what we are defending. Safety and security for the empire against these rebels.

Then, she turned and walked back into the building.

IHAT. Apologies for the odd reading, I thought it'd be fun and I wanted to work in some rp. If anything was not expanded upon sufficiently, I'd be happy to explain my thinking further.

I’d like that, actually, I get why doc voted me, but not you or Fura

edit: ah, you just want your vote to mean something, and you think I’m more likely than Twin

edit 2: right before reset, if the votes don’t change, I’ll say who I used my role on, and maybe that’ll help when you see I’m ISB, idk

Basically, you've felt off this whole time. There's only so far you claiming a strategy that an elim gave you can take you. You've been defensive almost non-stop, which again isn't a good sign. You were caught in a lie, again not a good sign. Also a TON of random votes, with no stated good reason, and stating you have no good reason. That kind of indicates you don't care about who you get voted out, as long as someone does, indicating elim bc elims are mainly focused on just not killing their own. So yeah.

Yeah, that’s fair. Though I would like to say that I was defensive d3 because everyone kept saying I said things I didn’t. But yeah, I’m probably being voted out today

"Nej, we have a problem" Kimrick said as he rounded the office corner. His assistant sat there at their desk. "They got into my computer. Why wasn't it flagged immediately?" Nej looked taken aback, "are you uh... sure?" Kemrick saw her glance at her computer and leaped over the desk to see she was actively pruning files to cover the tracks.

. . .

Kemrick pushed Nej's limp body out of the way and started copying what little evidence was left onto their drive. He thought back on his career. One he would lose, and worse, if he couldn't recover the files. Of course, he used to be the ISB's best fixer... but that was many years ago. He'd been in an office so long he didn't know if he still had it in him. He remembered each strike like it was yesterday.

. . .

Kimrick raced out of the room, wasn't enough to trace the theft, but maybe it could help with something...

BAM

He ran straight into Reka Wismil as she entered the building... and his drive flew across the room...

Lotus powered down his computer, the screen turning black. He gathered up his other belongings, including his signature rifle, standard issue of the tactical squad. He took down the wall of pins and pictures, Korun’s portrait at the center. The hit on him on yesterday hadn’t seemed to affect anything, everything had gone as normal throughout the day. Lotus exited his office, it’d probably be the last time he was in there.

Time to get fired, Lotus thought grimly

Reka bent down to pick up the drive. "What is this?"

apologies if you didn't mean for me to respond to that.

No I did mean for that if you were open to it

"Oh thank goodness it's you!" Kimrick looks around to make sure no one else is there, "there may have been yet another... ahem... security breach and im working on tracking it down" kimrick holds out his hand for the drive

Posted (edited)

Reka held onto the drive for a moment before handing to Kimrick. "What... kind of security breach."

Okay starting to wonder if it's not actually IHAT now but I don't want to do a last minute switch...

ykw I don't think IHAT would be playing for a last minute vote switch, but I'm also not suspicious of TwinStorm but voting him'd be the only way to save IHAT...

UGH THIS IS CONFUSING

edit: oops didn't mean to send this after Drake sent that, got ninja'd. Sry IHAT.

DAY FIVE

---

"What... kind of security breach." Reka asks.

"They got into my assistant's computer, at least," Kimrick explains. "Probably more. No time, they're destroying evidence, we've got to--"

The lights go out.

"Well, that's not good."

Clutching the drive tightly, Kimrick races through darkened halls. He shoves his way past other officers, clambers over a cart someone abandoned in the middle of the hall... He can hear Reka running behind, struggling to keep up. Have to get the drive to someone...

He rounds a sharp turn. His only warning is a blinking light and a beeping sound before the turret lets loose. For a moment the dark room is lit up before a hail of red blaster bolts hits Kimrick. Reka rounds the corner and yells something and starts firing back at the turret. The firefight only lasts a few seconds, but Kimrick is riddled with blaster burns by the end. He leans against the wall for support.

Reka curses. "Can you walk? We're gonna get you to medical."

"I don't get it, though," she continues. "Why'd the turret target you?"

"They're destroying the evidence," Kimrick repeats. The breach is worse than he thought, if they can pull off stunts like this...

"To medical, then." He agrees. "But, in case I don't make it, let me tell you exactly where to take that drive..."

---

Time to get fired, Lotus thinks grimly. He steps into the office.

"Agent Lotus," the director welcomes him briskly. "Your performance view has come up. Let's not dally."

Lotus can see the writing on the wall. The Rebels haven't been stopped yet, there was a recent security breach, and another dead officer. Someone needs to take the fall for it. Lotus can see the decision is already made, no matter what he says here. He sighs.

"I won't waste more of your time. I resign."

The director seems taken aback for a moment.

"Just like that?"

"Just like that."

The director nods.

"Very well." He gestures at a pair of storm troopers to take Lotus away. "You're discharged from the ISB headquarters on Coruscant. That said, you know too many imperial secrets to just walk away, you understand. You'll be reassigned somewhere... out of the way."
