Scarlet Octopus Posted February 11, 2025 Posted February 11, 2025 Not voting for anyone just yet, but I'm enjoying the RP right now. -------- It was fun, participating in the Games this way. Sure, you could watch on the TV, but there was a distinct thrill in being there in-person. Even more when you were in-a-person. You felt the real thrill of performing, hoping you wouldn't fail or worse, get caught. Wouldn't want to ruin anyone's fun, mortal or spirit. I found a happier balance between anxiety and conspiratorial thrill during the off-hours between events, personally, but it wouldn't have the same kick to it if I didn't actually participate. I would need to find a good opportunity on my next hop. This body wasn't competing, not unless things really went awry.

There’s no doubt in his mind. They're the one to watch. He had seen their practices before and knew their routine was nothing short of a masterpiece—precision in every move that couldn’t be ignored. No one else had the same presence on the beam as they did. “I bet Coral’s got this in the bag,” he mutters to himself, then looks over his shoulder as his coach approaches. “Ready, Stephen?” the coach asks, voice full of confidence. “Definitely. But Coral’s going to take the Beam. No doubt about it.” Stephen grins. His coach chuckles. “Fair enough. But don’t you forget, it’s your turn soon. You’ve got this too.” Coral’s routine begins on the screen. Stephen watches closely, admiring the flow of their movements—each turn, each slight adjustment. The crowd erupts in cheers as they sticks the landing. It’s flawless. “Yep,” Stephen whispers, “I knew it.” “Time to shine,” he mutters, readying himself for the Pommel Horse, where he’ll make his own mark.

Also, rollover will probably be significantly longer today, I have an appointment at the same time as rollover begins today. Please remember to not be in your anonymous bodies during that time. Edit: also I know I haven't responded to most of the actions that have been submitted. After work yesterday, I basically immediately zonked out for many hours, and didn't really properly wake up until it was time to go to work today, so I haven't really had an opportunity to note everything down. Pearl Chameleon Posted February 11, 2025 Posted February 11, 2025 Only hours to go until the competition, she was nervous. Coral Swan was a star athlete and everyone seemed to know it. The odds weren't in her favour. Still, as she watched the gymnast practice their routine in the break between her own sets, what she felt most was anticipation. Pearl Chameleon was a strong contender in her own right, surely she had at least some small chance of winning? It was too late to doubt herself regardless. She had less interest in swimming, but Cream Tuatara also seemed well poised to take the freestyle 400.
