  1. Perhaps the real Coder was the friends we made along the way. Or perhaps the real Coder is me. It's one of those, probably.
  2. I'd tell you but I can't spell it
  3. I assumed Frisk was an Undertale reference it just never rly came up Anyways I ID'd Heron and Dingo. Heron is like the free space on everyone's bingo card though
  4. I get that, part of why I said wait a cycle to resolve those roles aggressively. Still a tiny bit miffed we went from there to 'kill the pinch-hitters.' If it's cuz you don't have information on us, I mean yeah. That comes with the territory of pinch-hitting. Wait a cycle and that sort of thing sorts itself out one way or the other. Deciding you need it resolved Immediately is a Choice. If it's cuz I refused to claim, I'll die on that hill. I maybe did, because I'm pretty sure that's where Octo is at, even if I'm pretty sure that's not where you're at. I don't enjoy being repeatedly pinged to claim right after logging in. I have literally no idea what's going on, everyone else has way more idea of what's going on. If the only interaction y'all are interested in having with me at that point is to impatiently asking me to complete the distro puzzle for you, you will be trolled. Even if that weren't the context, I don't really like 'claim or die' as a meta (again, pretty sure that's not where you're at. still has to be said). I don't think it's sound strategy and I don't think it's very nice either. You don't have to trust someone who refuses to claim, but you don't have to kill them for it either. You can kill them for other reasons, but I'm not totally convinced they existed. ...I get that there's a certain level of bias that ensues when all the other pushes demand sensemaking and this one is really simple. And at the end of the day it doesn't really matter much. We were clearly on track to win, and I knew coming in that this would be a low-pressure assignment. I can't fault everyone else for failing to find the fastest possible solve. I did not try to find the fastest possible solve. I decided to roleplay instead, and outlined a solve that was functional but inefficient. My solve would've killed a few villagers. Y'all killed me, a villager. It happens. Happened a lot less in this game than usual, even. I can still lodge my very tiny 'wtf' over having showed up for less than a full cycle and immediately getting double-shot with some amount of prejudice Maybe I'm just not destined for survival in AGs. I enjoyed the game. I hope the elims did too despite what seems to have been a pretty uphill battle.
  5. Thank you GMs for running this game. I didn't play that long but it was definitely a memorable day and night. Elims, that's a beautiful 74 page doc. I know things didn't go your way but respect.
  6. ...well, I was correct that the Seeker/Coinshot pool was too big and needed resolving. I was correct that there actually really was just 4 village Lurchers. I even sussed Dingo as one of my, what, 2 suspicions of the game, with the other also being on a Seeker claim. And correctly guessed the Smoker was fake. And y'all SHOT me for it. TWICE SMH /hj
  7. "Meatbag, process of elimination is well and good but by your own admission, this unit's activation is recent. Lack of substantive contribution is expected in this case, making it a bland use of process of elimination." "If you acknowledge existing claims should not coexist, but prioritize pursuing unknowns instead of known contradictions, this is your right. I live to serve." "This unit has already outlined a two-step authentication protocol for the resolution of extant claims." "Step One entails the Seekers and Coinshots using their abilities tonight to gather insight on individuals that are neither Seekers nor Coinshots." "Step Two entails the Seekers and Coinshots using their abilities the following night to verify each other. Seekers verify other Seekers. Coinshots verify each other terminally." "This unit believes the proposed two-step authentication protocol is perfectly serviceable for resolving critical clusters while still reaping benefits from the involved roles." "This unit supposes Step Two will not be as necessary if Step One catches the Saboteurs, but would prefer to plan for the eventuality where it does not." "This unit prefers the prioritization of alleged Mistborn for investigation during Step One (this unit graciously grants Beagle the exemption), but this aspect is non-critical to the protocol." "Initiating tangent about Lurchers:" "Meatbags, have a good night. This unit wishes you pleasant hallucinations while you lie helplessly asleep." "Claim: this unit is a Saboteur Kandra."
  8. "And yet you do not advocate flipping those clusters proactively. Weak." "Claim: this unit is a Saboteur Smoker."
  9. "Hot take incoming: callsign:Opal Lion has produced the most sensible and trustworthy human correspondence of the night," CRANK buzzed. "Inability to count Lurchers notwithstanding. Hot take dispensed. Please enjoy responsibly." "Claim: this unit is a Saboteur Vanilla."
  10. "Human, I am not sure I comprehend the meaning of these words. Any finite set of real numbers may be sorted in descending order. How is this relevant?" "Query, do you intend to communicate that they 'go downward' by a fixed interval of one? That would make more sense." "Meatbag, this unit has not requested your trust, and has no interest in performing transactions to obtain it. "This unit merely wishes to serve. This unit has observed that humans derive great joy from receiving claims. This unit has concluded that a single claim would be inadequate." "Claim: this unit is a Loyalist Smoker.
  11. "Forecasting potential distribution of allomantic abilities..." "Assumption: the Saboteurs assembled their team intentionally and with purpose. It is not a lackadaisical assortment of random mistings. Each individual serves a purpose within the whole." "Caveat: humans are all insane and ascribing logical motives to them is playing with fire." "Multiple Saboteur Seekers suggests a team specification optimized for surgically eliminating high-value targets. Obviously, there are plenty such targets to go around, but the main synergy potential this unit detects is through cooperation with Saboteur Kandra. The Seekers identify valuable targets, and then the Kandra inherit high-value abilities." "Prediction: there are multiple Saboteur Kandra, preferably with higher generation. (Sub-Prediction: There is or was a Saboteur Kandra of generation 420.)" "This larcenous team composition functions less optimally without a Seeker but continues to function. Viability is greatly reduced without Kandra support." "Theoretically, a Saboteur team of multiple Seekers and multiple Kandra could hold its own against multiple Loyalist Coinshots and Lurchers, mainly by way of pilfering these abilities for additional firepower." "The 'swing' attribute of this composition is maximal, but this unit increasingly doubts that the Saboteur team was assembled to avert chaos." "Forecast complete. In the future, this unit may reset to explore alternative forecast branches." "Claim: this unit is a Loyalist Seeker."
  12. "Engaging predictive routines..." "Prediction: callsign:Ivory Dragonfly is a Loyalist." "Prediction: callsign:Oxblood Beagle is a Loyalist." "Prediction: callsign:Mint Heron is a Loyalist." "Prediction: callsign:Onyx Flamingo is a Saboteur." "Prediction: Saboteur risk tolerance is high." "Prediction: Saboteurs highly prioritized distancing. Saboteur votes highly scattered on day one, with minimal accumulation." "Prediction validated. If pattern holds, the following suspect pool is evidenced:" "Sunburst Toucan, Sapphire Elephant, Magenta Albatross, Quartz Zebra, Violet Axolotl, Scarlet Octopus." "Unfortunately, this suspect pool remains large. Fortunately, there are additional days to examine." "Again, high scattering and lack of self-preservation instinct is noteworthy. Meat-brains are known to be emotional, and thus the expected response after losing a tie would be to fear and avoid one. However, votes for callsign:Saffron Iguana developed fairly late." "Prediction: the Saboteurs were unable to respond in time." "Prediction partially invalidated. While this may be true of callsign:Salmon Meerkat it was not true of Callsign:Saffron Iguana, who was present and declined to switch to callsign:Scarlet Octopus. Callsign:Scarlet Octopus also declined to switch to callsign:Saffron Iguana when endangered." "It is acknowledged that callsign:Scarlet Octopus seems to have exterminated a Saboteur Rioter. This may alter the calculus somewhat. However, on the basis of Day Two voting, collusion between callsign:Scarlet Octopus and callsign:Saffron Iguana appears plausible. This does not contradict earlier suspect pool." "Multiple irrelevant Soothing attempts seem to have been made." "Callsign: Salmon Meerkat does not vote, though lack of verbosity in general is a potential explanation. This unit still does not understand the reasons for the execution of callsign: Salmon Meerkat, though it is not complaining. This unit will continue to assume that its strategem of begging chromium ferrings for luck played out." "Callsign:Opal Lion singing callsign:Salmon Meerkat's praises does not seem to have aged well." "Predictive routines deactivated. This unit will take additional cogitation cycles before arriving at a Conclusion." "Claim: this unit is a Saboteur Tineye." "Acknowledged." "Query Response: Total validation deemed unnecessary, due to redundancy with step two. The proposed course of action is that they investigate different individuals." "Query Response: Coinshots are well-regarded for their investigative faculties. These investigative faculties have the side-effect of terminating their subjects." "Claim: this unit is a Loyalist Tineye."
  13. "Drafting two-step authentication protocol..." "Step One: Coinshots and Seekers gather information about Mistborn. Note that Coinshot information gathering technique is often terminal." "Step Two: Coinshots gather information about each other, Seekers gather information about each other." "End two-step authentication protocol." "Claim: this unit is a Saboteur Lurcher."
  14. "Meatbag. Is your kind truly so fixated on only one thing? If you like it so much perhaps I should append a role claim to every one of my messages from now on." "Acknowledged. Randomly generating 'role claim'..." "Claim: this unit is a Loyalist Lurcher." "I live to serve."
