I appreciate all of the support! While I obviously will get the gold at the backstroke, don't count out Coral Swan, they are still a really good competitor. Not as good as me, but still good. They also deserve support for now As for the bars, I don't know what is required for that skillset. I guess a Heron could do a decent job. They did get third in the balance beam.

I think the attack was more likely a villager than a saboteur, but I could be wrong exactly, I lurched myself just in case of an attack.

He frowned. "Strange, since you claimed to not know much of metals. You brought up this mystery first, eagerly. Why?"

"How you know so much?" he said softly at Alais. "I thought you didn't know about "investy-chur? Regardless, the point stands. He is innocent unless a Missborn, or... or... an Inquisitor, of sorts."

"Youse suspect me." Hayden said softly. "I see it in your eyes. I've been many a man, a soldier, a drunkard, but for a few years, a detective. I don't suspect Acks cuz he burns this eleventh metal. Mistings either burn one or all, so he either a Mistborn, or just that, a Misting. And our saboteurs must burn metals. Now he could be lying, but why invent a metal rather than just say a metal like copper? And he ain't no Mistborn cuz he don't know what the metals do."

Hayden frowned. He did not trust him, but did not think Acks a murderer either, not after this. "I see."

"Yah." he said. "Youse the saboteur. Hundred boxings on it." he didn't have a hundred boxings, though. Hayden scanned the room. Lord Ruler, he needed metal and a drink. It was the gambler yelling at him he did not trust. Someone here must be lying. But who? Not the girl, he was sure. Then one of the others?

Hayden slouched forward, clutching his bottle. Murder. It had been too long since something properly interesting had happened in this backwater town. He'd spent his life fighting rebels, lost his leg for it, only to retire himself back to this bloody town. You haven't been drinking enough, he thought, sighing. He wondered if any inns were open, and staggered forward, in an attempt to find one, or simply someone to talk to. Anything to assuage the pain.
