Granted but the new clothes are for the opposite gender (so if you wanted shorts you get a mini-skirt instead)

I wish i was a sliver of any of the shards.

Granted, It's a sliver of Ruin. You slowly end up being corrupted as you destroy the world.

I want an infinite supply of peanut slabs. (For all who do not know what they are, they're chocolate bars with whole peanuts in them.)

Granted. However, you are required to carry as many as you can stuff into your pockets with you at all times, so whenever the weather is hot, your clothes get covered in melted chocolate.

I wish for my bank account to always maintain a balance of $1 million, instantly refilling itself whenever I spend money.

@Sunbird Granted. However, you can only withdraw at an ATM and only $1 at a time.

I wish for a backpack with an infinite amount of space.

Granted. However, items placed in this backpack weigh double the usual weight.

I wish for a shardblade.

I wish for a shardblade.

Granted but it screams in your head all the time, summoned or not. And it can't be unbonded.

I wish i had hemalurgic spikes of my favorite magics from different cosmere magic system(and no spike in my eyes) like Skybreaker shardblade+surges, mistborn basic 4 metals etc.

Posted

Granted, however the spikes are made out of people you loved or cared for.

I wish for for a tree in fron of my window, so I can have a bit more of shadow in my room.

Posted

Granted. The local pizza joint dumps all their leftover, throwaway pizza in your room. Enjoy! :P

I wish I was a Lightweaver!

Posted

Granted but you live in a world without stormlight.

I wish I had my own plane so I could travel the world.

Posted

Granted. The Nightwatcher thanks you for making her life easy -- the cost of fuel, a hangar, and time and money to become a pilot are banes enough!! She hands you a guide on filing for bankruptcy.

I wish for Yolish Lightweaving, and a bane that does not prevent me from using it.

Posted (edited)

Granted. You're allergic to the sand. That does not prevent you from using it - quite the contrary: your constant sneezing produces even more elaborate illusions. Your sand swirls and whirls like nothing anyone has ever seen. You're soon known as the best Lightweaver in the cosmere - even Hoid can no longer compete with you. So your services are in constant demand. You need the money and cannot say no.
No one is the least bit interested in the suffering every performance brings you. They see your tearing eyes and believe you're just moved by your own performance.

I'd like to have an E-Bike. (A little cheaper in the upkeep than a plane I hope... :P)

Granted... But you shouldn't have told the nightwatcher your hopes. That's asking for trouble. The nightwatcher makes the E-Bike upkeep somehow more expensive than that of an airplane. Don't ask me how, but it needs regular maintenance and the maintenance costs unholy amounts.

I wish for Leras' knife.

Posted

Granted. Guess where you get it. By the way, nobody will give you a lerasium bead afterwards.

I wish my friend won't be sick anymore.

Posted

Granted. It turns out it was just a memory, so you have this cool holographic like knife. Maybe you could do something with it if you could Elsecall to the Earth's CR. Your bane is looking at the blade has a random chance of giving you a "paper cut" like slash that hurts like Blaize for an hour.

I put myself at your mercy by wishing for a girlfriend like Shallan!!

Granted. However, said friend won't be alive anymore, either.

WoR spoilers:

Spoiler

Granted. However, to her eyes you look just like her father.

I wish for an emerald broam that never goes dun.

Posted

Granted. You have your eternal nightlight. However, whenever you are about to show it to anyone, or consider showing it/letting someone know of it's existence, you are gripped with a paralyzing fear and are unable to do it.

I wish to not change while the world around me does.

Granted,  you become a perfect,  beautiful statue,  able to observe everything changing.

I wish for a boon without a bane

Granted, but said boon is not getting a bane. Have fun with your nothing, my friend. :P

I wish to be a Mistborn.

For that truly evil (and upvote worthy) bane...

Granted! You are prime hemalorgic spike material, and spend your short Mistborn existence in tortuous pain as you are brutally killed for your powers.

I wish for a girlfriend like Shallan that is deeply in love with me.

Granted. The Nightwatcher believes you to be worthy of this boon. However, it is still her custom and right to demand a bane as well, so... from now on, you cannot smell anything.

Slight tangent:

(her banes aren't always "yes, but..." things, and from what we've seen, pretty easily concealed by the person. Nobody knows what Dalinar's bane is. That one dude that talks in the one interlude mentions that his dad or grandpa or something saw the world upside down for the rest of his life. Just sayin'...

I wish I could walk through walls and become invisible.

Isn't Dalinar's bane

Spoiler

that he can't remember his wife's name?

*please ignore this for game purposes*

Hm... Granted. The nightwatcher considers turning you into a neutrino, but decides it would be more interesting to turn you into a cognitive shadow. The nightwatcher kills you, but gives you the power to resist the call to the great beyond for as long as you want, so (both SH and BoM spoilers)

Spoiler

you are like kelsier after vin ascended, although you might have a hard time coming back to life like he seems to have managed to do

I know this isn't actually very much like the nightwatcher's standard way of giving banes (which all seem to be neurological), but still, there is a certain elegance to accomplishing both your boon and the bane in a single act.

I wish to become a steelrunner-edgedancer (with the ability to functionally access both of these powers, despite things like the lack of stormlight on earth...).

Funny thing is it might be boon or bane. It says somewhere that she interprets the wishes rather willfully... Dalinar might just have asked to stop hurting about his wife, and this is how she did it.

My thoughts exactly about banes and boons in this game.

As for your wish... granted. Sadly for you, the Nightwatcher does not know what a steelrunner is (like me) so you might be a little surprised at what you really get. As your bane, you're not able to turn off your awesomeness. Have fun slipping and gliding through the world, never being able to hold so much as a cup in your hand.

You.... Forgot to ask for something.  So you get 1000 pounds of mashed banana.  That's your boon.  Your bane is that you are suddenly allergic to bananas.

I wish to be a Fullbinder, with access to a power source readily available on earth.  (Stormlight equivalent of a Fullborn. Just came up with that now.)

Granted but Odium is on earth and there's no other shard around to stop him.

I wish I was one of the shards friends and even if their intent says they have to hurt me they can't.
