I hire them, and they gladly accept my mission to steal the Sandwich from you because you fired them for no reason. Someone distracts you as no one sneaks up and takes the Sandwich (he can do this because he has invisibility powers because he is no one). No one decides he's had enough of working for other people so he runs off and tries to sell the Sandwich on the black market to the highest bidder.
