  1. This appears to have been intentional.
  2. The sand, probably. But that would kill the lichen on it, with no way for it to grow back, so probably not. If the lichen can grow on glass, it'll just be itself, storing investiture the same way, so the glass wouldn't affect the mastery.
  3. What do you mean? According to the Starsight archive, Earth disappeared a long time ago.
  4. Brandon went to American Fork High School today, and @blackout8444 was super amazing and kind enough to write down the questions (We didn't think it'd be a great idea to record minors heh). Here we go and thanks again!
  5. SR is weird. Maybe, because he'd be able to read in the future, the text just always shows up.
  6. I think the words and numbers in the visions just came with the visions, and it didn't matter that he couldn't read them. Or do you mean the numbers and words he wrote outside of Dalinar's quarters? Those were in glyphs, which everyone can know. And they were unpracticed.
  7. Missing some of the power doesn't make him any less a Shard, though. Ruin was missing a chunk of his power for a while, and he was definitely a full Shard.
  8. He did fully Ascend. He couldn't do much with the power, but he held it. And he did give it up willingly.
  9. Yes, they are aware that Kelsier held Preservation for a time.
  10. Guys, this is the Mistborn forum. Anything not part of Mistborn needs to be spoilered! @wallyrocket @robardin

    Dead Shards

Yeah far as I know, it's only 4 confirmed.
  12. No, I'm talking about the head actually regrows. And Stormlight spoilers
  13. I think it would heal to the Spiritual Ideal filtered by the Cognitive aspect of the person, so pretty close to the original personality. People have had their heads removed and healed back to their old selves with F-gold, after all.
  14. I don't agree with this part. Nightblood isn't anywhere near powerful enough to threaten a Shard. And it'd be really hard to get him into a position where he could harm a Vessel, since a Vessel's body is basically sublimated into the Shard's power once they've Ascended.
  15. Weird. I can see it with Firefox on a PC.
  16. Depends on the prison, the skill level of the imprisoner, the terms of the imprisonment, etc etc etc.
  17. I don't think an Awakener can pull color from a living thing like that. At least, not unless they're crazy skilled with a crazy amount of Breath. We've seen that living things resist the color draining properties of Awakening.
  18. Any questions about Trell's true nature are almost certainly going to be RAFO'd. There are plenty of theories, and threads of them, too. We shouldn't clutter up the thread with speculations instead of questions
  19. Probably because, "bless your soul" is a somewhat common thing for people from SE US to say.
  20. They are confusing! Basically, the latest decision is that TLR rebuilt himself to be a powerful MIstborn with the Well, and didn't usually have Hemalurgic spikes. The bracers he wore were his atiumminds, and they were just piercing his skin to make them even less detectable than they normally would be.
  21. You probably want to spoiler the next line, since this is the Mistborn forum. Savants of any type of investiture are theoretically possible, but some are much more difficult than others. You basically have to be a compounder in order to be a Feruchemical savant. For Hemalurgy, it's sort of weird. Hemalurgy distorts your spiritweb no matter what, so it could be argued that everyone with a spike is a Hemalurgic savant. I'd say koloss and Inquisitors definitely are, but that one is sort of a judgement call.
  22. I disagree with this vehemently
  23. Duralumin actually burns away all of a metal in one big burst. It doesn't make the metal more powerful, it just burns it all at once. A Nicroburster does the same thing, except to another person, rather than themselves. A Nicroburst misting touching someone burning a metal+duralumin might make the metal burn away a little faster, but I don't imagine it would be a lot.
  24. I'm feeling such thwarted frustration on that semi-RAFO hahahaha. "They were the same once, but might not be any more, I can't remember for sure." *cries*
  25. I feel this treads far too close to the plot of Mass Effect 3 for my comfort.
