For all intents and purposes, those are the only three whose investiture matters. I'm sure that there's tiny bits of various other Shards in the mix for some of them, but not to any significant degree.

I always thought that Kaladin had returned to Narak to help work the Oathgate and transfer people. And to get Elhokar and make sure he got to Urithiru safely. Edit: Knew I shoulda hit submit before I got my drink!

As I've said, all investiture is associated with a Shard. There is no Adonalsium-only Investiture any more. And it's unlikely that Brandon wants to introduce a 4th Shard into the Rosharan mix, so Cusicesh has to be associated with Honor, Cultivation, or Odium. While the Stormfather existed in some form before the Shattering, there's no evidence that the Nightwatcher (or Cusicesh) did. Also, Cusicesh is very much a water-related spren, yes? I don't see how it would be the Sibling, assuming the Sibling is what powers Urithiru. It's a great theory And a lot of people are wondering what the significance of Cusicesh is and what its relationship to the Sibling is. Sadly, I just don't think the information we have matches up with it being the Sibling.

[OB] Cosmere Fundamentals: Shard “Pathways to Power”
RShara replied to Confused's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Sorry, these days, I don't have the mental capacity to address the entire theory with the detail, thought, and coherence that it deserves, so I just focus on the parts that I can answer decently I'll just agree with Cal for now, and discuss more when I have some decent thoughts to share. -
Well you have to read between the lines a little bit, but it's pretty clear to me that the questioner was trying to ask if Cusicesh was the Sibling without getting RAFO'd. And Brandon picked up on that and answered that they're not associated in the way that the questioner was hoping. In order to be a Splinter, it needs to be associated with a Shard. All investiture is associated with a Shard, and a Splinter is just investiture that's gained sentience. My opinion is that the Sibling is a bit of Cultivation and a bit of Honor mixed together, or two Splinters fused into one (on purpose, by Tanavast and Culti). Even if Cusicesh is not the Sibling, whatever investiture he's composed of is still associated with a Shard or three.

Some recent WoBs make that fairly unlikely, alas.

Ahhh I didn't connect the dots. Cool.

It's like when you project a globe onto a flat surface (aka a flat map). The edges where no one lives and no one things about bleed into interstellar space and eventually joins up with other planets. Look at the Roshar map. The various Expanses are other planets. I believe the Expanse of Vibrance is Nalthis, for example.

Autonomy likes to create avatars of herself. How she does this and why, we have very little idea. But having multiples of herself is why she talks in plurals lol.

I think you're thinking of starspren. I don't know that we've seen a Skybreaker spren described in the Physical yet.

You didn't post any OB spoilers, you have nothing to apologize about Just a word of caution for when you get that far
-
Welcome! Please feel free to ask any questions you have, but be aware that Oathbringer spoilers can only be in the Oathbringer or Cosmere Theories forums, and the thread title has to be marked with [OB] and have a generic title. Have fun!

Eh, not necessarily. As long as you are careful. The investiture is being eaten by NB, rather than being used by you, so it might bypass most of your spiritweb, which would prevent the damage.
-
The metals act as a key, or catalyst, and when they run out, the investiture transfer ends. So you have to be actively burning in order to wield Nightblood, otherwise it will eat you.
-
Secret History mostly takes place in the Cognitive Realm. Beyond that, we get our info from Words of Brandon. No, you don't perceive your speed as different than regular walking, but each step can take you a few feet or many light years, depending on whether that particular spot is being thought about or occupied or not.
-
So in the Spiritual Realm, time isn't a factor, but it still recognizes the existence of time. So your living self's spiritweb is destroyed, and the investiture in it is eaten, but there's still records of it from the past that still exist. Does that make sense?

Reminder that Odium isn't trapped by the Oathpact, only the Fused are. Odium's trapped by Honor and Cultivation.

[OB] Cosmere Fundamentals: Shard “Pathways to Power”
RShara replied to Confused's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Actually, he says he hasn't built it into Awakening yet. He's already built it into Soulcasting. Also, color, or rather pigment, does indeed exist. I believe that's what gets drained when something is Awakened. -
Yeah, Shallan was pushed into her own flame.

I hate to necro this, but someone just requested access to edit the spreadsheet, but google says the email address is not accepting emails outside of their domain. If it's you, please adjust your email settings, and re-request access!
